All you have to do in order to be exceptionally attractive is just not be obese. With the bar set so low, anyone can be hot af by today's standards. No wonder the girls find me attractive these days. I'm not even overweight. Instantly in the elusive top 20%.

Honestly if you're all about lifting etc you should take this as a godsend.

Depends on the obesity rates between genders

If the average woman gets fatter than the average man then the average man will have to settle for a fatter average woman

If the average man gets fatter than the average woman then the average woman will have to settle for a fatter average man

If men and women get fatter at equal weights then everyone moves down a notch

Regardless it just makes it easier for us as individuals to be marginally more attractive because its really not that hard to not be a fatty

I realize exactly how shallow it is to feel this way but I would never have sex with a fat man. I find it extremely unattractive. I've always been thin and I'm physically active enough that it isn't 'skinny fat' although there is room for improvement. I can't take any credit for being thin. My entire family are slim people and I inherited a fast metabolism..

2 weeks ago I bought 3 peices of cheesecake to bring home at Wal-Mart because they were openly labeled as 790 calories each in big, bold print. Normally foods that high in calories try to hide it in fine print on the bottom of the package but this stuff was loud and proud. I figured that was going to be great cheesecake and I was right. Everyone loved it. I never count calories because I have never needed to so I try not to judge others who are heavy. I would never treat someone disrespectfully or want to hurt their feelings simply for being fat but I sill won't ever consider it attractive.

My husband's family is just about the opposite of mine. His immediate and extended family are mostly huge people. His brother is 420 pounds and 6'6''. My husband missed those genes somehow. He is about my height and he isn't overweight in any sense. He has some weird hang-ups about appearance. There have been multiple incidents of going into a store with him and the cashier is one of those women weighing 250+ with a mustache and beard. He ends up dry-heaving in the parking lot. He is so disgusted by the thought of sleeping with an obese woman it makes him nauseous. I don't know how common that is. I know it isn't normal to be so disgusted by appearance it causes vomiting. When I asked him why he feels that way he said he can't stop himself from thinking what sex would be like with that person and it makes him sick. He has a weak stomach in general though. I can't wear most perfume or body spray around him and I always have to gut and clean dear during hunting season because he can't handle doing it so I don't think his responses are at all typical.

I've noticed when I do go out that even very obese women can find someone to go home with and it isn't always with a man similar in appearance. I don't know how they do it. I really can't imagine having sex with an overweight man. There is nothing sexy about being overweight. I guess it is going to have to be more accepted since the percentage of the population overweight or obese keeps rising but I don't understand how people can find it attractive.

It's bad because if we were all fat and had no way to get off we'd still have obese sex. I think the implementation of pornography in society make us even more lazy to pursue relationships. If we're fat and we can bust without having to talk and work/escalate the relationship then we would.

None. It will affect the casual sex market but not the relationship and dating market, since both genders seem to be getting overweight or obese at a fairly equal rate.
