When I get exposed to a different perspective, I try to understand it, not hatefully lash out about it online. I have to admit that I did peruse TRP when it was new. I found it manipulative, but I did see why certain men were drawn to it and I actually liked the self-improvement aspects. That's why I really find it hard to understand why men (and some women) on reddit have this deep, visceral hatred for the sub, instead of trying to understand our perspective. Dating is different for men and women. We take different risks when we date, and generally we have different goals, relating both to our biology and societal expectations.

What I find mind-blowing is that it seems like the FDS tenet most guys have a problem with is "he should pay for the date(s)." I haven't been on many dates, but I can tell you - every single guy I went out with has paid for me. I offered every single time and literally not one took me up on the offer - LVM or HVM, "Chads" or "betas". Every man wanted to pay. It's a customary part of dating. If one guy chooses not to do it, he stands out like a sore thumb to the women he dates.

What's more concerning though - is when guys on reddit will post something related to our desire to be be treated well or better by men and they call us entitled, saying in the same breath we're "spinsters" or "delusional 5s." It's disappointing because don't we deserve kindness and respect, regardless of what we look like? Does a woman who is a 5 not deserve equal treatment in a relationship compared to a 10? Does an older woman not deserve respect compared to a younger one? Rhetorical questions, because of course not. Not in the world we live in.

One of my posts on here was cross-posted to a certain male-centric sub. They chose to focus on our discussion that average or below average men can't get casual sex easily and have to offer something else - whether it's a relationship/commitment, or something monetary or resource-related - instead of just their physical appearance to get sex. THAT'S what they were most upset about. That they couldn't get casual, "free" sex as easily as Chad. That they had to perform the horrifying task of emotional labor or sexual exclusivity before we let them fuck us. It's just disappointing that they don't want to put in the effort to be more attractive or desirable to women. I would say that most of the women here would probably be more than happy with a kind, attentive "beta" (who took care of himself and put in effort) than a fuckboy Chad, but they don't like to believe that shit. Like 80% of the posts here are about leaving your fuckboy in 2019. How do they not see that FDSers are LITERALLY LEAVING CHADS? Instead of rising up to be a better, more desirable man, they just choose to whine about FDS.
