Like he’s well off enough where you know if you settled down with him you and your kids wouldn’t want for anything. or bragging rights, you get a ego boost knowing you were able to bag a highly desirable high caliber man.

I think both status and wealth are the kinds of things that easily get your foot in the door but don’t necessarily let you either close the deal OR keep up attraction after the honeymoon period.

Much of female desire for a man is considering him awesome/cool. Fame adds to that in a pretty obvious way. High status in a field that is relevant to the girl and the group she's in (so a popular band member for a goth girl, a talented painter for someone studying arts, popularity in any given subculture the girl belongs to). Losers are not sexy. Winners are contextual, a CEO status does probably nothing for a biker gal.

In part, Yes and that is linked to a mans perceived power , masculinity and potential as a dependable protector and provider . As well as his sexual prowess . But it only becomes of value of a man possessing these traits is also romantically pursuing you . But charm and confidence also plays a massive part in it as well . Men seriously underestimate the value of charm and romance and grooming . I also like intelligence and talent , both of which are forms of social status IMO.

Status - Not really, I'd never want to be with someone famous or that everyone knows about

Money - Not sexually attractive but certainly nice to have

Intelligence - Its nice to have someone around my level of intelligence and maybe a bit smarter but not so much smarter than me I have to feel stupid all the time. Its bad enough to lose a game of chess I can't imagine having to listen to someone explain how quantum computing works. Bonus points if they're smarter than me by a bit but not too knowledgeable about things I feel passionate about because I can be competitive.

In my experience it's looks, money, personality and social status in about equal amounts. If you're lacking in one area, you need to compensate hard in the others. Of course everyone's personal preferences play a role as well.

Both, definitely. The status can turbo-boost the value of the former qualities, and any positive mate qualities or gestures. Being chosen and pursued by a high-status man is a narcissistic high. The women honoring the status with sex and devotion are a mirror of how these men want to be seen, too. As long as she stays impressed, it’s a perfect symbiosis.

Then the man’s status conferred on her is a thing one groups of lower status find attractive for the same reason. Men are not immune to preselection. Sexual jealousy can create issues with other lower status men, however.

Having two or more high status men competing over you feels like a g*ddamned fairy tale and it’s hard to be satisfied with average after those experiences.

Maybe some are, most aren’t. The vast majority aren’t.

If you take men & women, remove constructs that’s created by society like inequalities, gender roles, etc you’d notice that men & women are pursing each other mainly on personality & focusing on love.

We have real world data on this. In countries that have strict gender roles, high disparity between gender equality & regulates one gender as inferior, the inferior gender is mainly uses economic mobility as their primary motivation towards marriage, in hopes of marrying a more successful individual in society to elevate herself & family. It was the only way for women throughout most of human history.

Most western countries are different. We are slowly transitioning out of this way of thinking. Now, we mostly marry for love. We don’t care too much of what they have, rather how they complete us. It’s a beautiful thing. This form of thinking allows humans to better express ourselves & live more fulfilling lives.

Everyone is attracted to status. It’s not always money, it might be social clout (“popular kids”), or talent that commands attention (musicians, artists, etc...).

That doesn’t mean it’s the only or even biggest factor in attraction, but it is something that attracts most people.

And they never experience the "power" this is when a male who is like boss of a company gets favourable treatment from women because women can get his reputation/fame by associating with him. Women do not easily earn reputation or fame in our society on their own, it's much easier for them to gain it through association so yes it's very important to a woman.
