Oh I remember a sacandal in japan where a med school lowered the scores of it's women applicants and was discovered. Here it is ( it was more than one school):

At least nine Japanese medical schools manipulated admissions, in part to exclude female students, a government investigation has found. The inquiry was launched in August, after the prestigious Tokyo Medical University (TMU) was found to have tampered with the scores of female applicants from as early as 2006. Reports cited concerns that many women would not go on to practise medicine.

I may sound prejudiced but japan looks to me to be more of a scroteland than many other countries and that's saying something because every country in the world is scroteland.

In my country they actually passed a law to allow 50 percent of men in medical even if girls surpassed them in merit because mostly just girls were passing that intern exam but thankfully that law didn't got implemented enough . Because apparently female doctors were just going to get married and not join the work force anyway. Murder of merit.

Japan was literally ranked 120th out of 156 countries for gender equality recently so this does not surprise me at all. Still sad though...

American colleges have lower grade requirements for boys as well, not that you see that in the news much.

I posted this on one of the MRA subs and they denied it, so I found the college admissions policies being discussed in a reputable source, they still denied it.

This reminds me of a similar phenomenon in Korea. Female students have higher overall scores, and they do go to top tier universities. But the issue starts once they graduate and enter the workforce. Women with better qualifications don't even get interviews just because they're women, or deal with bs interview questions like "when are you planning to get married?" "are you planning to have kids soon and quit?" etc. And those are the mild ones, believe it or not.

Hey, this happens in the US too. Colleges and Universities practice "gender balancing" which is a fancy way of saying if you're a man you can get in on shitty grades and stay in on shitty grades because they don't want Higher Ed becoming too female dominated. They claim its for women's benefit cuz how else would a college educated woman find a husband?
