When I first heard ‚don‘t kinkshame‘ it was in context with BDSM. I was really confused, because I thought (and still do) that you‘d need to be traumatized or mentally unwell to want to that kind of stuff to a person. Funny how previously being a victim of violence only ever excuses men from being violent towards others. I think it needs to be completely removed from our understanding of violence and kink. Most women are victims of violence but don‘t become violent themselves, only men use it as a cover because they know pick-mes will come to their rescue.
