This happened to me like a month or two ago, I got a phone call and I was like who is this? And he introduced himself telling me he Met me a year ago but he never called me, so I just screamed at him that he woke me up and I had to go back to sleep. And he texted me and I just told him that I don’t know him and I don’t plan on knowing him, he still called a few times but after a few hostilities he stopped. I regret ever been nice to men and letting them down gently, because they think not being mean = yes. So they keep trying

Is it really justified to call yourself “second choice” when it’s possible he just had in fact formed a stronger connection with someone else by virtue of knowing them for a bit longer? I guess this would all depend on if he was a gentlemen in cutting things off with you the first time around. (If he ghosted and left you on read or something like that then it doesn’t apply in this case and I would ignore). But if he was upfront in cutting the connection with you the first time around in a kind and honest way.. is it really terrible to circle back and reconnect if he comes back in a solid way - suggesting a date with place and time - and both are single?

Asking people’s thoughts on this. For sure I would be very skeptical with this guy’s intentions.

Edit: okay I re-read where he said they went on a date and never talked again. So he basically ghosted. I missed that the first time around when I read it. Thanks for those that responded and clarified.

I always delete numbers/text threads but don’t bother blocking unless they were psychotic or something. Their reaction to “who’s this” gives me life, they’re always so heartbroken I don’t have them saved in my phone as “future bae 🥰❤️💖🤡🤪” while I sit by my phone waiting for them to finally text me again
