I don't think we have olive garden in Toronto, but I guess it's like Swiss Chalet?

Like a cheap restaurant that is kinda better than fast food joints and has servers, but it's a franchise that lives on pre-booked food, basic recipes?

Once witnessed a proposal where the dude didn’t bother to pause the basketball game he was watching on his phone. He sat across from her and asked, while occasionally glancing down at the phone balanced on his knee. He then went back to ignoring her and straight up watching the game while she excitedly called her mom. This was when I was waitressing in fine dining so beware the faux-Tuscan heart that can emerge even in finer surroundings.

I feel like vday is such a bad day to propose. Restaurants are crowded even the really shitty ones.

This is a huge moment in your relationship that is supposed to have deep meaning. Nothing like a guy getting down on one knee with a whole crowd of random people watching while munching on their unlimited salad and garlic bread.

Don’t even get me started on guys who don’t give a shit about the ring they give their girl either. And I don’t mean this in a money sense, but something that isn’t her style or had 0 thought put into it.

No one taught them better. Their fathers were low value and their mothers not only accepted the behavior of the father but promoted it in their precious do no wrong sons.

Low value men are a result of their fathers arrogance and their mothers submissiveness.

I heard a story recently about an acquaintance that got proposed in a McDonalds. Mind here where I am from McDonalds are popular but not as in America, it's a different story. Even tho, they're still trashy and sell low quality food.

She was so like 'omg the proposal was so original, the people where clapping and cheering. I am a simple girl bla bla I was so happy..." I was horrified and couldn't say a word.

There was that one senator (name escapes me) who proposed to his wife at a Wendy’s. They would go there for their anniversary every year. He ended up cheating on her and knocking the side chick up. Wife later died from cancer. So sorry, it’s depressing AF I know. Oh, it was John Edwards. Yeah, LVM there. His wife was loyal and had his four kids then he doesn’t just cheat but impregnates some woman in her 40s who was basically his groupie. Sad shit. :(

I’d rather have him propose to me in Olive Garden then spend 8 years with someone who didn’t want to marry me but I’m also not about big fancy things either. I would be grateful that he wanted to marry me.
