They have to pay the price OF HIS ACTIONS, did he forget that?
[–]mallorn_huggerFDS Newbie 41 points42 points43 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Silly girl. He's clearly only paying the price of HER actions. He had nothing to do with it. /s

All this tells me is that all married women should be smart and make their own money in case their husband decides to be a sex pest and gets himself fired. Imagine if you had to rely on this man financially.
[–][deleted] 49 points50 points51 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Such a good point. I haven't seen it discussed yet.

💯 Be prepared at all times for a man to do something stupid that will affect you.
[–]fckingmiraclesFDS Newbie 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So true. Just because he had children with you doesn't mean he won't stalk and harass and try to have sex with young women that come to his place of work.
[–]nothing998FDS Newbie 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He used his wife and children as insurance to harass women. The polar opposite of what marriage is supposed to be. "You'll tolerate my inappropriate behavior because if you don't, you'll hurt the woman and children I'm keeping hostage" Absolute fucking scum.
[–][deleted] 109 points110 points111 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
at least over here we literally have to sign a contract saying we can't use any patient information we're given for literally anything other than work related stuff. he got himself fired for being a creepy fucktard. the fact he's creeping on patients while having a wife and kids makes it so much worse than it already is. hope he gets his ass divorced.
[–]eatchickpeasFDS Newbie 203 points204 points205 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
if ur married wtf are you doing hassling women you dont know at your workplace. why should she care if you lost ur job? i swear some men are so immune to their own stupidity its almost depressing
[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Honestly, knowing most pickmes, she’s probably bitching to all of her friends that her pOoR hIsBaNd lost his job over some bitch.
[–]dollymyfollyFDS Newbie 59 points60 points61 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don’t think we can assume she’s a pick-me. Plenty of well-meaning women get blindsided by their husbands who mislead them. He’s the one to blame here.

iT wAs juSt a jOkE !!!
No you gaslighter. Your creepy stalking of other women + a whole bunch of other shit got you fired, not her call (nobody gets fired over adding someone on fb, there is more to this).
Go to therapy with your victim mentality (and, again, probably a whole bunch of other things to discover...!).
So fucking proud of you OP.
[–][deleted] 165 points166 points167 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
This sounds so passive aggressive.
"Soooooo sooooooorrrrrry you were hurt, bitch. But now you ruined my wife's life and my kids' lives too. Hope you're happy. And I guess I'm sorry again."
The tone of this message is cold and he doesn't take responsibility for his action at all. Notice how he is pushing the blame on the woman who reported him too. This is a fake apology.
Edit: I work at a financial institution and I have access to all our members' information. Financial and personal. I would be fired in a heartbeat if I did this to a member of where I work. Which will never happen because I know how to not be a creep and it's so freaking weird to imagine propositioning a customer/member from my workplace. How did he not think this was wrong? Jesus.
[–]Lavender_flowFDS Apprentice 81 points82 points83 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
yeah he definitely meant it to be passive aggressive. Typical narcissist. Sounds just like the shit my ex would say, making himself into the victim when he broke a law and is being disgusting. Fucking perv.
[–][deleted] 43 points44 points45 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup, exactly. They're playing the victim instead of taking responsibility for their own actions. My ex was like that too. Good riddance.

Print it, and send it to his wife. If you have his last name, you can look up his home on the county property records, those are public. His wife needs to know about what a creep he is.

I feel like these posts should be posted with a picture of the person in question that did it, so everyone can publicly ridicule the fuck out of these perverts. Maybe a NSFW reddit called "outing creeps, its my kink, dont kinkshame" I mean clearly reddit is fine with peoples nudes being shared with 0 consent and promoting rape. But I guess outing creeps like that would be "crossing a line"
[–]atreegrowsinbrixtonFDS Newbie 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I want to start a domestic violence database for my city by watching domestic violence court or bail court all day and cataloging all the men into a searchable online database called “Alleged Perpetrators of Domestic Violence of (insert my city name).”
It would have their name, birthdate, any details of the alleged crime that are publishable, whether they made bail, whatever other info I can legally publish.
I haven’t done it because I don’t know how to build it, and I’d need volunteers unless we could make money selling ad space or something. I’d also have to check if doing it was specifically illegal for some reason.
[–]akashyaboaFDS Newbie 34 points35 points36 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh no, your family has to pay the price of your lack of professionalism. Should have thought about it before choosing to behave like a creep. You family is paying the price of your own choices as it's not a stranger's responsability to look out after you and your family.
[–][deleted] 34 points35 points36 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And even after being fired he still had the utter audacity to send her yet ANOTHER message. He hasn’t learned and shouldn’t be allowed to work in the medical profession, where privacy is key.
[–]volcanic_equationFDS Newbie 90 points91 points92 points 5 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
I can’t with this. So having children means that he can’t ever be held accountable for any wrong doing?
Sir, you cost yourself your own job for choosing to cross a serious line. Blame yourself for the repercussions of your actions. Think about your family, the next time you get the urge to creep on a patient.
He’s acting like a teen who got fired from their job at the Olive Garden, for taking too long to bring Karen her iced tea. Not the same thing, my dude.

After this message, you should find his wife's number and tell her she should make him stop texting you. Didn't he get the message when being fired for contacting people that don't want or should be contacted? How dense is he?
[–]tallwomenneedlovetooFDS Disciple 46 points47 points48 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lawyers are so fucking skeevy that we had to make professional ethics rules specifically about NOT using sex as payment for services and also about how it’s okay to continue to sleep with clients as long as the relationship started before the representation. And even then, that rule only came in around 2002 in the US. 🤮
Conversely, doctors, social workers, psychiatrists and other medical professionals including massage therapists have ALWAYS had that bar on the patients themselves and their family members.
Taking all that into account, consider how brazen this scrote was to actually ADD her on social media instead of just doing the standard scrote-lurk. I’d be willing to bet she’s not the first woman he pulled this shit with if he was that fucking confident.

One of the instructors at the gym got my number from their files. He was smart enough to text me after he quit his job there. I stopped going there because I didn't want him to find me outside, I should have done more.
[–]FkthekiritFDS Newbie 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes because it’s always the patients fault when a pervert healthcare worker stalks his patient online breaking ethics codes he sweated by to be accepted into this profession. Men are volatile and untrustworthy. This is why medical professionals should be women primarily. Not the other way around.
[–]Worldly_SellPickmeisha™️ 21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I honestly don’t know how to feel about this. This is weird as hell. I can’t imagine any of my doctors adding me to their social media. The audacity....
Can someone explain to me how he got fired tho? Im ignorant about the law he violated. I’m assuming they actually spoke to each other and then he added her later. Also assuming he did not disclose personal information, how is it a violation of privacy?
[–]RabidWenchFDS Disciple 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So it's not a law so much as a violation of professional ethics (afaik - I work in hospitals, not pharmacies). By using private information about OP, which he gained in the course of his work as a pharmacist, he accessed her social media and tried to add her. Pretty much every workplace sees this behavior as a HUGE boundary crossing (as they should). So when OP called his work to report him, they fired him for his creepy behavior.
HIPAA doesn't really apply here, I think, because he didn't disclose her health information or use it, just her contact information. And he doesn't have to disclose private information to someone else to violate privacy, all he had to do was use it himself. Which he did. And he clearly still is, since he's texting her long-ass passive aggressive messages. Gross.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Confidentiality- same goes for counselors, doctors, anyone in the field where there’s a power dynamic. As a counselor I’m not supposed to seek out my clients on Facebook to add them but they can add me. Similarly, I can’t acknowledge them in the street but if they come up to me and start a conversation then no problem because they’re acknowledging how we know each other or at least saying there’s some familiarity. However by finding her outside of professional means is crossing a strong boundary in my opinion, and if as a client you don’t want that then clients wishes are and should be upheld first and foremost. He should lose his job and should acknowledge where the boundary was crossed, but even here it doesn’t look like he knows what he did wrong.
[–]HappyNovelFDS Newbie 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I assume he added her and then she called the pharmacy he worked at and they canned him.
Also, as someone who has worked retail pharmacy for a few years, it is not that it specifically violated HIPAA that got him fired, it was using the patient’s information, without her permission, to contact her. It’s not necessarily a HIPAA violation, but it is harassment.
There are more ways to get canned as a pharmacist than just violating HIPAA - Especially if you work in a retail setting.
EDIT: For example, let’s say I work in a retail pharmacy but I don’t work in the pharmacy, but the front end of the store. I am ringing someone up, they put in their rewards number, and their profile pops up. I take note of the information and later use it to contact them. I didn’t violate HIPAA because it’s not their patient profile, but I did violate my company’s customer privacy policy. Same thing applies to using information from a patient profile - Even if it technically doesn’t violate HIPAA, it does violate company policy big time.

“My kids and family apologize for the inconvenience as well”. I am sure they don’t, but you obviously need to make it seem like you are a “nice, repenting family guy”, by playing the emotional card. I feel bad for his children.

"And I have such poor judgement and self-control that I'm continuing to contact you because I'm incapable of learning my lesson and shutting tf up."
I'm worried he's not going to leave that woman alone now, since he places all of the blame for his professional ethics violation on her.

Had a service man at a car dealership I took my car to decide he would try for a date and got my info from the file and called me. Much more minor than this, a (male) server at a restaurant I used to love to go to and was a regular at, found me on FB and messaged me, asking me out. I called and spoke to the (male) owner, who thought it was funny. Lovely. The server was very rude to me upon my next visit, so I stopped going.
Another place I used to enjoy - the owner did the same thing. Found me on FB, asked me to hang out.
I'm so sick of guys like that ruining things for us. I enjoy my own company - me taking myself for a meal or drink isn't an opportunity for owners or staff to "shoot their shot". Leave me alone.

Woah, talk about taking no responsibility for his own unprofessional, unethical actions! This sounds very threatening. I hope you forwarded this message to his former employer, it will confirm for them that they did the right thing and dodged a major bullet.
If you haven't already, please file both the original complaint and a copy of this message with your state board of pharmacy (or whatever the equivalent is if you're not in the U.S.). This guy shouldn't have access to humans at all, much less their medical records.
