Totally agree. I'd never voice this in real life but all of the ethically non monogamous men I see on OLD are straight up unattractive by any definition and all I can think is they're lucky they got one woman willing to have sex with them. It's all entitlement.

EVERY SINGLE TIME I've known open relationship couples the man is UGLY ugly. Like big big ugly. And the woman is gorgeous. I think it has something to do with him feeling inferior beside her and wanting to prove that he's her equal (attractiveness-wise)and/or could do better. I wish I could save all these people the trouble and just tell them :you ARE inferior, you ARE ugly and everyone feels bad for your wife/girlfriend and you CANT do better. But they insist on learning the hard way.

For me those men are pimps. I've seen it in homosexual relationships as well. Pimping your "partner" to gain access to other ( more attractive/young) people. The one that wants to indulge in open relationships uses their "partners" as decoy, to pose as "socially acceptable" and try to normalize their abhorrent behavior in the eyes of their future victims.

Sidenote: Opening up my marriage destroyed it in the best way. They never love that one person. They are emotionally shallow addicts, they want "relationships" with more women because they're just conquests to them. Video game accomplishments with which they can nourish their pathetic little ego, as they lack value as human beings and have no other meaningful skills or talents to pride themselves in.

They need to be the lucky guy who gets to fuck many women, because that's simply how far their minds can go.

Many of them don't have the capacity to experience a deep and irreplaceable emotional bond with a specific individual woman. You can tell just by talking to them, or hear them speak among themselves. Even the more "wholesome" conversations revolving women. Even when they think they just want affection and love, these concepts are very depersonalised in their minds. Any woman who adores them would be good enough.

My second serious boyfriend used to talk about how he wanted an open relationship, but how it wouldn't be fair TO HIM, because obviously I would instantly get loads of attention (correct), so he kept trying to convince me that we should try opening the relationship but ONLY FOR HIM AT FIRST so that he could sleep with a couple of people and then it would be my turn (???)

I was dumb back then but that was too much, even for me. I was like "either we both get to sleep around outside of this relationship or neither of us do, and it's not my problem if you aren't successful". We ended up breaking up for other reasons but man, I still think about how dumb that was.

Men in relationships rate themselves more objectively attractive than men outside relationships. Women don’t do this. A lot of men go through life getting praise about things other than their appearance, and the second they have a gf or wife praising their looks, it goes to their head. This was an actual large scale study done. You can Google it. And of course, as soon as they think they can, they want to get more women.
