Omg this was my ex! I was yo yo dieting throughout my entire college because he was never satisfied whether I lost or gained. I'm so lucky I didn't fuck my thyroid up while I was dating him. But yes, it was mostly about control and keeping me insecure so I would be scared to lose him. He actually said repeatedly that I'm too old ( in my early 20s!) and fat to find another guy. I never weighed more than 120 at that time. It's so triggering Everytime I hear q story like this. It took me years to develop a healthy relationship with food because of him. I probably still have PTSD because of that relationship and other shitty ones

Gosh, this makes me so mad I can feel my heart thudding in my chest and the heat rising in my cheeks. I would genuinely punch this man in the face. This is such a phenomenon with men that go after thin/underweight women, I swear. You’ll never find a more cruel, opinionated body-shamer than the bf or husband of a thin woman. I’ve never encountered this type of thing, and I’ve been legit fat. But my skinny friends have all dated at least one guy like this.

This has actually happened to me with my ex.

I was ripped when we met, then I got 'soft' aka still sexy, you just couldn't see every muscle in my calves/thighs/abs. Then I got injured and got a little more weight because I had to have surgery and was barred from any workouts for 3 months.

There were some comments here and there, but my ex met me when I was super fit, so I felt they were justified. And I also hated being chubby too.

But then I started to get back in shape, and the commentary about my clothes, or my looks started again. He was honest at least saying he felt 'left behind' because he was having trouble with his weight. But I made it a point to tell him it was his problem.

Since we broke up, I'm closer to being back to my super fit state, I wear clothes that I am happy with, and I am not nearly as concerned that I'll get a new judgement about my body.

i would start commenting on his ballsack. ask him whether it will keep getting saggier? you are starting to get concerned about his ability to keep up with your libido and give you full satisfaction now that you are more spry and hot. if he ends up going soft too soon, comment about it. if he ends up enjoying himself before you get yours, comment about it.
