Had a "friend" like this who told a woman he wasn't ready for a relationship. She took it well and moved on, found someone who was ready for it and started dating him. My "friend" was FUMING. Kept texting me asking me what he could do to "win her back" and if he "should stay friends with her". After a couple months of back and forth i realized nothing i said (all in the same thread as "LEAVE HER THE FUCK ALONE") was enough for him so i promptly blocked and deleted him, ending the friendship.

WHY ARE MEN.

So I was once really into this guy. After being indecisive and stringing me along for months (I know, I know, but it was a long time ago), I finally made him talk to me about what was going on, and he told me he wasn’t into it.

I was gutted. I cried. I cried hard for about two days. And then I started to feel better.

He checked in a few days later (I know, I know, this was way before I learned to block), and asked how I was doing. I said I was good, thanks, and asked how he was.

He actually said “Wow. You really know how to make a man feel small”.

Like WTF. This man broke my heart. I cried in front of him. He knew how badly he’d hurt me.

And yet it made him feel “small” that I was going to survive.

Good for her! Men like this want control and have you on THEIR terms. It’s about getting an ego boost from your attention and having you try harder hoping to change their mind. Then they hope you’ll stick around so they can use you for sex/as their emotional tampon and wait for them. Then they get stunned and “devastated” when you agree with them and leave them alone!

This has happened to me a few times. One guy I was in a situationship with for a month told me he wasn’t ready for a relationship, but he still wanted to “be friends” (hahaha). I said no and blocked him.

Before that, I had a crush on a male friend who admitted he didn’t want to even date me, but he was “willing to be FWB”. I was still a pickme then, so I stayed “friends” with him while he still flirted with me and admitted he would sleep with me if he had the chance. Thank GOD I never slept with him. He kept trying to call me to catch up and I eventually just blocked him.

This reminds a lot of reading in various relationship subs and you see so many of these moronic "polyamorous" or "ethical nonmonogamy" people complaining about relationship drama. I want to ask these people what the hell did they expect to happen? It's invariably some man whining because he wanted to open the relationship and now his girlfriend goes out with a different man each night while he sits at home eating stale Cheetos and furiously masturbating to porn.
