Oh my gosh this self-sacrifice narrative was me all of highschool and I just realized that. Younger me always dated guys that I thought could never get sex or dates and were potentially dangerous so that they wouldn"t end up like Elliot Rodger in the future...basically if I "take one for the team" now, women might be protected down the line, even if I'm disgusted by them and the whole experience of being with them.
