That is liberal policy. This is what liberals do - they adopt seemingly progressive policies just for show that end up making no sense and often not addressing the issues at their core anyway. People are stressed, depressed and unhappy at work and companies do not care about you, or your thoughts and feelings. Companies exist to make money. The issues with wage labor and working for profit driven companies are plenty and even for those who get to benefit from those resource groups and other initiatives of the like, that is only a bandaid. Your working conditions will always be detrimental to you unless you fight for democracy in the workplace and other things of the like. Join a union or something.

Interesting. My company has the exact same Associate Resource Groups. I explicitly called out this omission in the “anonymous” annual employee satisfaction survey, expecting to get fired for it. No changes to the groups, but I’m not fired yet. I like my team and I like my job and I like my boss and I’m not willing to get fired for my lack of “woke-ness”. I guess that makes me part of the problem.

My job has been pushing diversity as well. Whenever I see something supporting a group I do not belong to, I sign up anyway. March was women's history month and I got so much out of it! I was in every workshop. I asked all the questions. I reached out to the organizers after the events with my ideas.

I hope to god someone tells me - in writing - that I am not allowed to be there. I'll throw every penny of my life savings into an EEOC complaint. It says right on the website:

You can file a formal job discrimination complaint with the EEOC whenever you believe you are... being treated unfairly on the job because of your race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, disability, age (age 40 or older) or genetic information;

I can't change my company's ethics, but I'll be damned if I allow anyone to deny me resources based on my sex.

OP - that's my advice. Your job won't give you anything? Then take it.

But you can bet they arent labeling Muslim, Black or Jewish Religious groups as extremists, nope only the White Christian Conservatives. I struggled with this horseshit for decades.

I have CPTSD (Almost 40 years of it) and an MDD (Major Depressive Disorder) co-morbidity, and I simply could not get any support for my mental health issues except the bog standard NHS treatment. And therein lies the issue.

I'm not 'young'.I'm not 'female'.I'm not 'black/PoC'.I'm not 'LGBTQ+'.

I could find support services for all of the above, fairly easily too. But, I'm a middle aged, straight, white male. So I'm shit outta luck for anything outside the NHS, which is inundated with other straight, white males - plus all the above groups too - so waiting lists are incredible!

I have only managed to begin the healing process by paying my PIP benefit (Personal Independence Payment) directly to a private practitioner, as the same treatment (EMDR) has a waiting list of literally years - if it's even provided by the local trust.

Those diverse groups you mention only need focused help because the system - whatever that was - was failing people. Now almost all 'minorities' have special support, whereas us straight, white males only have the original failing system. Utter horseshit!
