Edit: Something Dershowitz brought up in the interview I found interesting. She's trying to get a book published. Nothing like free publicity. She also claims to have met Queen Elizabeth which is relevant since she claims Prince Andrew is one of the men that raped her. She claimed she had sex with Bill Clinton. She's a known prostitute. She's filed claims like this before and the DA in that case knew she was shady and refused to proceed.

and yet... despite everything, he had to provide proof of innocence. If he did not have that, he would still likely be able to fight the accusation, but he would not be able to stand so tall in his indignation.

Without the proof that he has that he could not possibly havecommitted the crime he stands accused of, he would have been pilloried in every feminist rag (hah!) on the internet as a raging misogynistic rapist monster using his "male privilege" to silence the poor victim.

No one deserves to be falsely accused of anything and I wish him the best in these proceedings. But Dershowitz is no hero. A humongous ass, as a matter of fact. Watch his "debate" with Norman Finkelstein, the most under-appreciated scholar of our time. Dershowitz is as phony as they come. Finkelstein argued circles around this guys, rightly referring to Dershowitz as "a disgrace to his institution."

I actually love that he's gunning for the lawyers primarily. Since falce alligations are never going to stop penalizing lawyers who take on knowingly made up cases seems like a logical step foreward.

Unfortunately not everyone is a rich lawyer. I have a coworker going thru the same shit but even if he wins he will be 8k. 3 for bail so he can work to make the 5 to pay the lawyer who interviewed the "victim" and says he can prove she is lying.

Many of the comments on the various posts are along the lines of "how dumb of the feminist establishment to make a false allegation against one of the world's best lawyers!" Not necessarily. Assuming he's innocent - which I do - and he proves his innocence - along with that of Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell (?!?) - the feminists will see this simply as further proof of their belief-system. Powerful, rich men manage to defeat a poor girl in court, using 'facts'.

The discrediting of a plaintiff in a sexual assault case is seen as confirmation of the feminist narrative, not falsification of it. Look at the Duke Lacrosse case, 'Jackie' in Rolling Stone, and numerous other cases.

Methinks thou dost protest too much. After naming a Prince Andrew as a rapist, it does little to boost the profile of her case to also name Dershowitz. Moreover, why accuse an attorney of anything unless it were true since you damn well know they are going to lose their shit over it and try to sue you into oblivion?

I for one am not surprised to see another self-righteous Big Giant Head like Dershowitz have his Cosby moment. Long may he suffer from these allegations, and how apropos since his claim to fame is publicly disparaging others.

Please dont defend this guy. He's one of the most dispicable human beings alive today. If he is innocent he'll win. His billionaire buddy who pled out to get 18 months for child prostitution was convicted. Billionaires dont go to prison when theyre innocent. Its equally impossible for this guy to be convicted if he is innocent. He is politically connected up the wazoo to the military industrial complex, Isreal (largest recipient of US aid by far), and a well seasoned legal expert. His favorite hobby is destroying the lives of academics he disagrees with and defending murderers.
