I have a friend who makes a good living doing this kinda stuff and has actually gotten pretty famous for it. The amount of strategy that goes in to it is very impressive. She developed an entirely alien persona and really sells it. From the fashion she chooses which is nothing like she normally dresses, to the genius captions that sound nothing how she actually speaks, everything is very deliberate. She absolutely nails the dumb horny 19 year old schtick. Her disguises are unclockable. She even has these people convinced she lives in California. She's very tech savvy and has completely scrubbed the internet of her real identity. She's impossible to Google.

In reality, she is a 26 year old student at Columbia Law who leads a pretty boring and stable life with her moderately attractive business owner boyfriend, her dog, and her studies. She earns every penny, in my opinion. Not sure exactly how much she makes, but it's enough to pay for a nice apartment and get a head start on her student loans.

Well, I have some inside scoop on this. My recent ex became my recent ex because she became a cam whore.

Some people are saying it is or isn't hard work or there's money in it, so I decided to actually sign up for a cam site, take my complimentary tokens, and see what the going rate for an eGirl was.

The results weren't pretty. Most of these women sit around in varying states of undress, hoping for someone to drop a hundred tokens or so to see tits before they even do anything. Once you shake out the exchange rate from actual dollars that's maybe ten bucks and most of them aren't making that quickly or consistently.
