OLD sucks but dollar-for-dollar, minute-by-minute, it’s still the best avenue for guys if you clear thresholds like height/looks.

I used to only do clubs and bars, and people here downplay how much time and money it costs to go out on the town regularly. Not to mention hangovers, messed up sleep, etc. Also it takes hours of socializing to collect numbers or connect with someone.

OLD works out to $25/mo for a typical app subscription, and if you have a good profile and swipe fast, you can pull off one date off of 10 matches on 200-500 swipes. I can discern and swipe girls I like in 5-10 secs per profile. That’s 30 min a day of work, plus the back-and-forth texting. Compare that to going out for 3-4 hours on a Friday night and coming home empty-handed.

OLD is the most efficient pipeline and that speaks volumes about how bad modern dating is.

Why do you guys think that hyper-successful men cheat so much? Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Brad Pitt, and I'm sure you can think of others. It's almost a challenge to find a man who is very successful and happy in a monogamous relationship.

Are men with too many options just more likely to not be monogamous? Is monogamy generally more about a lack of options than anything else for men?

I really wonder about this, cuz I'm a guy that really likes the idea of having one woman for the rest of my life, so I can't really get why this is so common.

Hello Xirs. Been a while so time for another update.

Left Buenos Aires a few days ago and now im in Barcelona for the next month. Really think this is the city I like the most already. For those who havent been following I left the US about 6 months ago and plan to travel for probably at least more years. Been to Mayaguez, Cancun, Mexico city, Buenos Aires and now here. Next leg of my trip confirmed is Vienna, Warsaw, and then Bucharest.

Anyways back to Barcelona. I love it so far. The architecture is amazing, the city is warm and vibrant and full of young people. Theres about a bazillion other tourists right now but I dont mind, its fun seeing all the happy faces from all over. Ive heard probably a dozen random languages being spoken. Its been really cool seeing the mix of cultures. I live in a highly arab/indian area. Most of the stores in the immediate vicinity are of that type, whether resturant or market. Its feels very surreal as an American going to a resturant and having an indian waiter bring me my tikka masala while speaking to me in spanish.

Things are definitely a big step up in price from latin america, but still more or less what id expect to pay on things as compared to prices coming from the american midwest.

The other day I went to a street food festival I happened upon while walking aimlessly around the city. All of it was really amazing. I ended up getting absolutely shit faced at 2pm though. I ended up laying down on the ground and passing where ppl were sitting down listening to music play on the loudspeaker. Some really kind girl kept checking up on me and bringing me water, telling me to get better and then get up and dance with her 😝. Nicest thing anyone has done for me in a long time. She was cute too, but I was in no condition to even walk for a while and when I was It was back to my house.

As far as sugaring im going to have to be really selective. It seems like a low end of average offere here is about 4x higher than the same in buenos aires or mexico city. Which is to me expected. Back in BA/CDMX I couldve had a girl ever other day without breaking my budget. Not so much here xd. Theres a lot of really hot girls here tho. I had a morrocan sb the other day.
