After doing some research on the topic of domestic violence, a specific concern has popped up.

As we all know, domestic violence is gender neutral, anyone can be an abuser. But, Male victims of domestic abuse, either through false accusations, physical, emotional, financial etc abuse, are almost portrayed in the background. Men are almost always portrayed as the perpetrator, even if their female counterpart initiates it.

If a woman threatens to take his kids away, that's domestic abuse. If a woman hits herself, and threatens to call the police, that's domestic abuse.

There are so many ways where a manipulative person can manifest themselves as a victim, and yet where is the public outrage. Where are the protests?

What we have here is a lack of empathy for men.

Men are less likely to confine in someone looking for help because they fear of being called weak, of being called unmanly.

We have few Male specific domestic violence centers. They fear that if they counter the accusations, they wont received their justice.

The #MenToo and #HimToo movement were belittled by the #MeToo movement. False accusations of rape and sexual assault put innocent men in prisons with little to no evidence. Fathers are removed from their children. Men losing their jobs, scholarships, careers etc.

We are given a narrative that men are evil, but who are we to say that women arent. There is no good or bad gender, just bad people and it should be treated as such.
