Can someone explain to me why they think high body count is bad? I'm a dude, got a relation of 3 years, both of us have body count of about 20.

To me sex and sleeping around is just a fun activity. An interesting, worthwhile experience. I'm happy my girlfriend got to experience one night stands, fwb etc. Because I enjoyed them, and I am happy my partner had these good experiences in her past as well. Additional benefit: it makes you a better bed partner. It gives you some diverse perspectives on pleasure, that you then can use with your partner

I care a lot about body count, but sometimes I wish I didn't.

I know a guy (friend of a friend) who is a pansexual medical doctor who fucks everything under the sun. He probably gives no fuck about the body count of his partners, he just enjoys the relationship and carries on. I kinda envy that.

Meanwhile, I'm perpetually anxious about ending up getting married to a woman who used to be a turboslut and hid that from me. Just the thought of discovering that after I'm already married and with kids... Oof.

But it is what it is, can't really change how I feel. I have tried to not care about it. It didn't work. I just have to hope that I won't have the bad luck of dating a woman who deceives me.

I'm here for the sick and disgusting stuff people did in the past even though I'm not into it. Guys I've been with have done fisting, chastity belts, watersports, shibari bondage, anal, all kinds of shit I've never tried with them.

Say what you want about if history matters, it's pretty nice knowing there's not a single other guy on the planet that can claim he's slept with my wife. Call me whatever names you want, but I appreciate that fact and as a result would happily reward loyalty with my own. I don't know if I'd be a jealous guy or not because there's nothing to be jealous about.

Would I judge or exclude from consideration a girl for having not been a virgin when she started dating me? Probably not, but it feels good knowing that mutual exclusive connection is there. It adds a layer of trust that helps when building a partnership as heavy as a marriage, where money and family are all legally intertwined.

I think to a certain extent this whole N-count discussion is useless. In a free society, women who want to sleep around are doing so and those who don't want to aren't. For you, as a man, it's not a good look to try and control women's action, instead you should select for people who naturally are the way you prefer them to be. The discussion whether your preference is good or not is also moot since you are not answerable to anyone but yourself in this context, so do what aligns most with your values.

The romanticization of Asian/Arab women for their lack of indulgence in casual sex is also misplaced, they aren't doing so because they are somehow superior to western women, their society just makes it very hard to do so. Given same rights and liberties as a western woman, I would wager most would behave similarly.

Finally, leave some concession for women who tried the casual sex for brief amount of time, found it's not their jam and left that scene because that lifestyle is heavily encouraged and someone coaxed into it but noping out of it soon after is not the same as someone partaking in it for extended period of time because they enjoyed that lifestyle.

CMV - If a high body count is OK, then so is cheating.

I've seen so many people that are supportive of casual sex, but will claim that their commitment in a relationship is unwavering. This makes no logical sense. If one is willing to engage in casual sex to the point of having partners in the double or even triple digits, it shows that they place very low importance on physical intimacy. What does faithfulness matter if you are committed to one person at a time, but are also engaging in sex with multiple people over the course of a few months or a year. If you are doing that, you are not faithful. I would even go so far as to say having a high body count is pre-cheating. It shows that you cared so little about sex in anticipation of trying to find a life partner that you allowed access to your body indiscriminately.

People also seem to equate sexual exclusivity as some type of christian oppression and they distort their logic to believe anything connection to religion is bad. If you break it down, so much of western morality is rooted in religion. You cannot escape that. All religion does is teach us how to live a moral life. A monogamous relationship is more fulfilling than playing musical mattress with strangers. Or maybe, for you it isn't, but don't delude yourself into thinking that you will somehow magically stop wanting to have multiple partners or that will have no negative impact on your relationship.

Consider the act of cheating and how it directly increases one's body count. Just because you were in 37 micro relationships doesn't somehow make you morally superior to the adulterer. I'm sure they have a complicated backstory too as to why cheating in those instances was justified.

I can’t help but think this n count debate is more about men being worried about not getting every thing former partners got, plus a fear of cheating. Let’s say a girl had 100 partners but never turned sex and was down for anything. I suspect 9/10 guys would take that deal. Whether they admit or not. The fear is she has 100 partners, is down for anything, but in her LTR with her future husband, sex is a never ending struggle and she won’t agree to anything that is not missionary, because she wants a serious LTR.
