The problem with the modern Red Pill is that it has a huge identity crisis.

It doesn't know whether it wants to be a male self-improvement guide, a PUA/hookup guide, a Tradcon movement seeking to return to the 1950's(or Sharia Law), an Alt Right movement, a Men's Rights advocacy group, an Incel movement, a MGTOW movement, or a Big Tent with all of the above.

All of these subgroups are pretty much at odds with one another despite sharing similar views on modern dating or feminism.

And a lot of the grifters in the space take advantage of the lack of cohesion in the modern RP and often try to fit in with all sides like a chameleon. I mean...you have Myron from F&F simultaneously being a playboy bachelor, a devout Muslim, a Tradcon Right Winger, an Alt Right figure, an MRA, and MGTOW all in once. How the fuck is someone supposed to gain anything out of a man who doesn't even know who the fuck he wants to be lol?

Even Kevin Samuels would often contradict himself regarding the "High Value Man" debate. He kept switching up the definition and his most stringent definition of a HVM excluded him which would make him a hypocrite for speaking on behalf of HVM without being one. Nonetheless, he dropped a lot of gems.

I used to be into the RP space way back in the day before growing out of it. I used to post on Roosh V and everything and a lot of the shit is really just common sense if you actually go out and experience the dating or hookup scene for yourself. The problem is many shut-in RPers are accustomed to mentally masturbating about RP theories on the Internet instead of going out and doing it themselves.

And, whereas, the 2000's/early 2010's era RP actually had PUA bootcamps and guides that encouraged you to go outside, talk and hang out with many women, and actively put yourself in the scenes for casual sex and dating, you now have a bunch of bipolar Tradcon playboys who spend more time obsessing over body counts, splitting bills, politics, and rage bait on social media than actually pushing men to become successful in the dating and hookup scene.

It solved my problems. I can reliably get dates and sex now. But once you can get it, you realize how pointless it is. Nowadays, I'm dedicating more energy into my hobbies, career, and self-improvement.

TRP of 10+ years ago was all about personal responsibility, or at least it seemed that way. "If your life sucks and women don't like you, it's up to you to fix it" was the general message. Nowadays though? There are so many podcast bros blaming women and feminism and the left for their problems. And dudes make it sound like they have no choice but to sleep around and use women as personal flesh lights.

Though in hindsight, maybe it's always been that way. Even in the very early days of the Rational Male blog, Rollo Tomassi was doing the "feminism bad" bit, albeit not as much. Ever since he made a face reveal and did public appearances, he really doubled down on making women out to be an enemy of men.

Don't get me wrong, TRP was nerve perfect. But I could fuck with the message of "you can make your life less shitty, but it's gonna take a lot of effort and emotional resilience" a lot more than "just stay a bachelor and hate-fuck women forever, as you join the social decline we claim to thoroughly despise".

TRP has always just been a guide. It takes in field experience to gauge what is real and what is not. I would argue most of it is true but there are gray areas.

It worked for me. It lead to me losing 70 pounds, becoming financially well off and leaving the country for good. All those things led to me meeting my wife so I can honestly say that the red pill was beneficial to my life and happiness

I agree, RP is more about understanding the reality so you can try your best to navigate it. It's not some sudden magic potion that will fix everything you are doing wrong. But a lot of what you were doing wrong was from basing your decisions on lies you were fed.

In a way, TRP is a victim of its own success. When a story/narrative/philosophy becomes widespread enough, it also becomes diluted and then subjected to splinter groups formed on various interests (ideological, financial, personal, psychiatric, etc.). This happened to feminism 50 years ago as well. It happened to Christianity 1700 years ago. It happened to Islam 1300 years ago. It happened to Marxism from 1906 onwards. No philosophy is spared from this phenomenon. None.

The upside of this is that it creates a ripple effect in society. That philosophy's ideas get both mocked and taken seriously at the same time through society. Eventually (it can take up to 20 years), portions of it become established wisdom. Again, all of this happened with every single philosophy that reached this point and it's happening with TRP as well.

Unfortunately, the period between breaking mainstream and the end-result of the natural process of that is a tumultuous one. Even more so with the Internet - which makes things worse because it b0rks perceptions.

So... we are here. Where more people than ever heard a version of TRP. Most are wrong, a lot are somewhat correct.

It will get better. But not for the young man who is 19 today. He still needs to figure things out the old-fashioned way.

Idk, I was helped by TRP. But I also took it strictly as a set of truths about human nature - not as a solution to my problems.

You are conflating PUA bullshit with TRP. That is like mixing water and oil and calling it a powder.

TRP is a metaphor for those things which lead you towards identifying real world problems with women, work, politics, education, religion, and society in general. Problems which you were probably not even aware of in the first place, this blind state is called the Blue Pill - a metaphor for ignorance. It's still up to you - and you alone - to solve them, you know? Like a man.

We're not children in school where every test has the correct answers in the back of the book. TRP is about figuring out real world problems on a personal level and not about ideologies that convince drones that they are saving the world like all those stupid muppets in colleges.

The redpill isn't made to solve your dating problems, dating as of right now is inherently flawed. Women will naturally choose only the most pre-selected,extroverted,and seemingly succesful man they can possibly get if they are to drop their roster.If they can't get Chad the will rather stay single unless a man shoots his shot first.For years now,men have been saying to women to make the first move in order to facilitate the process, women have refused and will refuse,because being the selector and not having to risk anything,not only gives her the privilege of not having to try but it gives her all the power as well.

A common narrative I see is that men don't approach anywhere near as much as they used to because they are afraid of rejection or public humiliation, the reality is most men just DON'T want to do it.They've done it before and it's just not worth the hassle and power play.And They've said fuck it, why do I have to go through this ordeal when Chad didn't even have to this shit because SHE went to HIM!!!

So now most men are just decentering or abandoning women from their mind because the mental turmoil and anger that dating causes men just doesn't seem to be worth it any longer.

Not to mention that most men HAVE already had a relationship and found out that women aren't really all they are cracked up to be,most of the time they are very entitled,selfish,not self aware and boring.

Btw single for a women does NOT mean no sex or no dates it only states that she is not in a committed relationship.

The limits of TRP seems to be, sure it can get you dates and a harem of hoes for casual sex, but is that REALLY what men want? Seems more like a net negative in the long run. Men are biologically wired to find satisfaction in procreation. Casual sex isnt procreation like it used to be, because of the financial risks of fathering children and abundance of contraceptives.

TRP fails to give you purpose in life and maintain a healthy relationship that lasts until death do us part. The Bible is actually better in this regard because emotions are a self fufilling prophecy. Blind faith to an arbitrary doctrine (a well made doctrine mind you) can truimph over TRP logic when it comes to marriage.

But neither the TRP or the Bible can truly be considered ideal. They are placeholders for people who lack unique and original philosophies in their lives. Having the knowledge of both may work for 90% of life circumstances but to truly find fufillment you must cultuvate your soul through lot of reading, introspection, and discovery. Then you will see the solution in every situation.

The red pill sells guys alot of lies that if they are handsome enough, make enough money, and are masculine enough that women will fall into their beds and that will make you truly happy. And yah if your handsome, rich, and act like batman the red pill is right plenty of women will sleep with you but you won't actually be happy. You'll only be happy when you know you have found a person who sees all your imperfections and still wants to wake up next you in the morning.
