There was a cute girl in her mid 20’s a few bar stools over and she was approached by a white haired gentleman who was very obviously trying to hit on her. I will give him credit, he was bold and persistent, but alas there is nothing he could say to talk his way around the 50 year age gap. He eventually accepted defeat and retreated to a table in the corner to finish his warm beer and leave. This got me thinking.

It seems that Red Pill Theory shares one similarity with most Disney fairytales- the assumption that everyone lives happily ever after. What I mean by this is that most stories and anecdotes we share trail off when the person is somewhere around the age of 40-50 years old. I work with a man who is 56, never been married, and he has no one to go on vacation with, no one to plan his retirement with, and as far as I can tell no plan for the next decade when he is going to get too old to remain competitive in our industry.

My question is this, what are men supposed to live for after this age if they are still single and spinning plates? I have been on TRP for years and it occurred to me that there isn’t really an end game. The traditional Blue Pill fantasy is that a man settles down with a wife and kids, pays off the house, sends the kids to college, and spends the last decades of his life enjoying what he has built, and watching his kids grow up. It is an old adage that family is everything, but TRP espouses the idea of avoiding one at all cost. I understand that working towards self betterment, financial security, health, and mental clarity are admirable goals, but what is the point if you are on an endless treadmill of trying to find new women to date? I like the idea of retiring in my old age and just sharing my success with a family, offering advice and assistance to my children, etc…

An area that I feel hasn’t been explored thoroughly is what I am beginning to think of as a "Male Wall”. What happens once you are 50+ and cruising bars or the singles scene with no one significant in your life (meaning long term)? We will all reach a point where our SMV starts to decline and we will be too out of touch, granted we can delay it decades longer than women, but it will happen. We have all seen these lonely older guys who are out of place in the modern dating scene. What is Red Pill about being 60 years old, with no wife, no kids, an empty house and lots of cool experiences but no one who cares to hear about it? Are there any older members on here that can comment?
