It's not out of the ordinary. I know a couple of guys who are openly very horny promiscuous players, but both of them don't have a whole lot of other things going on in their lives. I've seen this phrase online: "if you're not horny, you're not healthy." It's a very crude heuristic, but I think there is a lot of truth to it.

Am I seriously to believe that a non-trivial portion of Western youth (men and women) are not sexually active, and also perfectly happy with this? To me it seems like a symptom of widespread poor diet, lack of fitness, excessive internet and video games, and overall poor mental/physical health.

OP, congrats on having a level of healthy sexual desire and working towards accomplishing those goals.

I would say to me that getting laid isn't necessarily a key to my life, but chasing women is. I love the thrill of cold approaching, going on first dates, getting to know each other, etc. The sex part is nice too, but I don't think there's anything other than a rollercoaster that compare the level of exhilaration that the pursuit gives me.

I used to but as I got older I realized how silly the idea of having to hump something else is, and how codependent it made me. I spent so much time and money on girls and the pleasure was temporary, not just that but it felt so pointless some times even during.. That I decided I wanted to get to the center of what I really want in life and started trying to work on myself more. Although I still love sex I’m not a slave to it as society makes guys feel.

It goes both ways cause if girls have too much sex then they are judged, but they face the same problems we do and even worse at times because they are more prone to feeling used.

Yea it’s important because from a biological perspective procreation is such a fundamental aspect of life no matter what species you look at.

Also it somewhat determines your worth as a man. Before anyone starts accusing me of simping, know that women choose men to procreate voluntarily. They get to choose whether or not they see value in you enough to pass your genetic code to the next generation. They are in essence the gate keeper to your legacy. If they do not find you worthy then your genetic material ceases with your death and is never passed on furthering humanity.

I’m not saying it’s fair but that’s the way it is. That also doesn’t mean anyone should ever simp, because it never works anyways.

But yes, it is a very important aspect in a guys life because it means to some degree you’re fit for survival from a biological perspective. This is also why it hurts so much when you’re rejected by a woman. It’s not so much the initial rejection that hurts, it’s what it means which is essentially: you’re not fit to have your genetic lineage succeed. Now that cuts pretty deep.
