Wow. The line about using complicated words 😂 I love language, have a BA in English. I had an ex that would get so upset when I wanted to look up a word meaning. He’d accuse me of trying to make him feel dumb, but really it’s like for my own benefit. That has always been something that stuck with me after that when dating guys… how does he react when I question if a word is being used correctly & I want to double check the definition?

I am extremely sceptical of an “elegance coach” that tells women not to use “complicated words”. I don’t think they themselves even understand what the word “elegant” means: “gracefully refined and dignified, as in tastes, habits, or literary style.”

I am more than happy I define anything I say, educating is my greatest passion, I love explaining things. Trying to get me to dumb myself down, limit the language I use to express myself?
