For Blue Pill Men: How do you feel you differ from Red Pill Men?

Well I don’t identify as blue pill, or any pill for that matter so I’m definitely not red pill and everything I do in dating is so far off base of whatever they talking about and believe in

I think what stands out the most for me is that I don’t practice any strategies, follow any rules, or subscribe to any beliefs. I’m a really open-minded sex positive dude so worrying about shit like “pair bonding”, body counts, PUA tactics, pedestals etc. always falls on deaf ears to me

Overall not being red pill is a huge advantage for me. I only date casually right now and balance multiple connections by simply just being honest, communicative, and myself. I don’t date girls that are looking for a relationship or for me to be their boyfriend. Granted, my type are the type of girls red pill advise against dating (sex positive, feminist, political, activist, etc.) but shit I’m not complaining

I also think another advantage for me not being red pill is girls just like me lol. I’m not out here trying do debate them on everything or idealize and generalize my pov’s and project that onto them. Sure they can call me a simp, blue pill or whatever but at the end of the day my dating shit is cool and calm (the way I like it) and perfect to me

Aside from thinking TRP is a joke? I'm really mellow and easy-going most of the time, which seems to be in very short supply in TRP/manosphere world.

When I make decisions, I tend to weigh the impacts of my decisions on others much more heavily than TRP seems to advocate.

I also seemingly care WAY more about clothing/style/aesthetic than most in the pill world, but that developed really independently of all this stuff, since that was due to my involvement in organizing streetwear fashion shows in college.

Can't say whether any of these things are advantages or not, but people respond very well to me in most contexts, and have for a long time.

Edit: Other one is that I view a lot of TRP as having beliefs that are "out there" so to speak on all sorts of things, and TRP specifically does overlap with conspiracy theorists and the like (and more conservative views for that matter) pretty heavily. My views are rather..... wonky and boring in comparison.

Miss me with this current version of the redpill, the fuck happened to it? It used to be about the Matrix and about waking up from wage slavery and conformity to a power that believes its superior to us. About deciding your own identity (via my name is Neo) and unlearning the limitations society put on you. Letting go of doubt, fear and disbelief. About being free. That's the redpill I remember.

Fast forward to 2021. TRP is now basically right wing propaganda (or anti-left) that is targeted at males who are struggling with romance and breakups. It absolves them of their woes, telling them "it is not your fault, you were lied to from the start. Come with us, we know the real truth." Meant to snag them at their loneliest and weakest (similar to the way Scientology and Jehovah's Witnesses operate). Similar to feminism It relies heavily on spooks to operate, with such boogeymen like HYPERGAMY (affects all humans equally, not just struggling men) and MODERN WOMEN (Low quality dating pools are not a new phenomenon) and FEMINISM (this is where the MRA shit came in I guess?) to be the scapegoats of the struggling members to direct their ire towards. "Feminists and their soy cucks are the enemy of the redpill, you must fight!" Their attempts to build you up and remake you into an attractive functioning member of their community is not done out of the love of other men (the majority of anonymous redpillers sow cuckophobia, body image issues and cheater's paranoia amongst each other). Its done to create a new herd following new values and attacking a new enemy. You're basically being repurposed from one angry mob to another.

Filled to the brim with Rollo Tomassi dick sucking, relentless negging of single moms, and pandering to pseudo-traditionalism, its infested with MRA activists with alt accounts on their subreddits writing giant paragraphs meant to reinforce TRP's version of traditional masculinity. A more militant, intolerant and paranoid version of it. Where those who conform to the ideals without question are alpha and based, and those who can see the obvious contradictions and dont vibe with absolutism are pushed into the blue pill/cuck territory until they accept what the top posters of the community say.

Why are we not supposed to disagree with slogans like AWALT, when its known for a fact that generalizations are never accurate? When feminists say all men lie and cheat, I'm sure theres thousands of arguments against that generalization. Plenty of people here who never did that shit, but I'm blue pill for not assuming all my female family members are sinister hypergamous gold diggers who dont really give a fuck about me because of my genetic background?

Same with their attitude about being a step-parent makes you a fool or a moron, because you're passing on no genes. My step parents were amazing people, and a person's value does not go down because they want to pair up with someone who already has kids. That's the bullshit hierarchy they try to slip in to elevate themselves above others who take on a responsibility with a person they love.

For one, I'm everything TRP says isn't attractive in men: short, nerdy, skinny, long haired, baby faced, agreeable, openly compassionate, with androgynous fashion and effeminate mannerisms.

And yet I have no problem getting a lay or a girlfriend for most of my adult life. My body count is between 5 and 8 depending on what acts count as sex, and I've been in healthy monogamous relationship for the past 2 years.

If TRP ideology gives someone the motivation to better themselves and build relationships, then go for it. But hearing someone say "all X are..." makes me want to laugh.

Mostly because I believe NAWALT. I think all women who are attracted to men are sexually hypergamous, but they can be hypergamous in different ways. And I definitely don’t agree with TRP’s more misogynistic AWALT views.

I’m also an egalitarian when it comes to relationships. And I have no interest in casual sex, which is not inherently a part of TRP, but is often what seems to be talked about on their sub.

I'd guess I'm "blue pill" because I treat women like individuals with complex emotions and motivations, and give them respect as human beings. But I reject the whole blue/red pill thing, because it's ridiculous that a bunch of mediocre misogynist dudes decided that playing games to get laid is some kind of "revelation".

I think blue pill has the right loose idea on a value level be but zero actionable advice when you get down to specifics. Red pill has practical advice, which works, but I think much of the theory framework is shit. I see entirely different reasons for why RP stuff is working.

For instance PUA/being bad boy etc. I had success when I no longer gave a shit about masking over my piggish, selfish etc. sides. Lol, judge me if you must, but that's your problem! Though this doesn't actually wet panties like "Oooh, he must have so much status to dare being a dick", what it does is that it instills trust that I'm sincere, that I'm genuine and is precisely who I appear to be. But all that is useless unless my good, friendly and generous sides are up there as well, and it's most probably that I'll be chosen on.

Make no mistake, it's a kindness to others to let your ugly be on display along with your good really.

Supplicants(extreme simps) who filter and curate everything they do and say not to offend, it's not mainly that they appear weak, though cowardice certainly isn't attractive. It's mainly that it's impossible to trust that kind of person. It's just brutally clear that something is extremely fake about him, and he doesn't say what he actually thinks.

I've seen too many shy, timid guys get laid eventually, if they're just the transparent sort. May take a lot more time but tellingly, they're ahead the typical Nice Guy, even as that guy has more social presence.

Withdrawing and dividing attention is another thing RP has totally wrong. It's a kindness to give people space to breathe and think. She's not thinking "Nooo, I'm about to get snubbed! Better run after him and subordinate myself!!" So that "cool play" really comes across as kind and considerate.

These are just some highlights of what I think goes against redpill thought process, but i'm sure it depends on who you ask. I also feel like its stupid to ask who's "blue pill" because in blue pill/red pill terminology it's pretty much admitting you are delusional:

-Just because something is uncomfortable or hurts to hear doesn't make it true, or rather just because something is hard to swallow, isn't evidence it is true.

-Amorality is an impossible standard, believing so just makes you blind to your own biases.

-Pain is a great teacher, but joy will teach you what's worth learning.

-Lot of redpillers seem to have the belief that man is capable of understanding women's actions, but not vice versa. I think this capacity has a lot more to do with individual intelligence/empathy rather than biology.

-Men and women's "imperatives" are caused by relative circumstances rather than biology.

I know at its Core Redpill is just a tool box, but this is more a response to the community. No I don't think my views hinder me, unless you consider missing every opportunity to exploit every possible situation to get my dick wet a hinderance.

I like the message of self-improvement and 'manning up' that floats around the manosphere.

By 'manning up' I understand pushing your bounderies, taking responsibility for your life, developing your personal potential, tapping into the energy and toughness of being a man on a primal level (if you ever had an amazing workout, i.e. running extensively through rain and just feeling indestructible and able to take on any obstacle, that's the kind of energy I'm referring to) etc. In general it's nice to encourage men to be better.

I don't care much about the rest of the pill philosophy, especially dating 'strategies' or changing yourself for the sake of impressing women etc. I'm mostly concerned about impressing myself and being able to confidently look into the mirror every morning. If girls dig that and are interested, good, if not, good riddance.

I think the main difference to TRP ideology is my conviction that women are people the same as members of every other gender are, and that all people are individual in their own way. There may be some observable characteristics in what certain demographics typically look for in a partner (which differs also between the types of partnerships that are pursued) - but that doesn’t mean that you can draw any conclusions from that, if you have a person in front of you to deal with.

That being said, I also think TRP is vastly overestimating the looks when it comes to finding a partner - and what role reproduction has to play in a partnership. I will freely admit that I would see myself as a rather good-looking person without going to the gym or caring about anything I eat, and that I hadn’t any problems finding a LTR or casual sex in the past (though I‘m from the market since five years). But I would rather think that this had something to do with me being funny, caregiving and valuing people as a person - and being kind of committed even with casual sexual partners, for example if they ever had any problem they couldn’t talk to some one else about. All in all just being friendly - actually what the term „nice guy“ should really refer to.

TRP would probably call it simping. But in reality it’s not, as I didn’t expect something in return. Sometimes I just like people and we trust each other. That’s surely another big, big difference, I would say: They see relationships merely transactional, whereas I see them as something I like to engage in genuinely.

You know, in game theory (the philosophical discipline, nothing TRP related) there’s this model called prisoner’s dilemma, where two criminals are separately interrogated and have to choose whether to snitch or keep quiet - and if they’re acting purely rational, they have to snitch at each other bc they don’t know what the other one might do - just out of fear to get snitched themselves. This leads to worst outcome for them. To overcome this problem, the two criminals would have had to build trust before, so that they would have known that the other one for sure will keep quiet.

TRP, in my view, is basically telling everyone that you shouldn’t trust anyone in the dating game - which leads to the worst possible outcomes for everyone involved.

I guess I count as blue pill, in that I’m not a red piller, but I think the biggest difference is I don’t view women as being monolithic and I’m not trying to mon-max or optimize my life around sex. I’m in a committed and happy long term relationship, building a life together with my girlfriend. We may marry, we may not, but that’s going to come down to what’s best for us both. The types of relative value considerations that seem to obsess red pillers don’t enter into it for me.
