Not per se CMV because I am interested in people that agree or just general thoughts on it.

On TRP there seems to be this myth that ”if he was hot enough she would have slept with him immediately”. Thinking women have this bad impulse control is a bit worrying, but this is wrong. I’m not going to adress the assumption that a man doesn’t have to offer anything else or beyond his looks for sex but let’s just go to the topic. Hot man? Uninteresting. Hot and commited man? Interesting sexully.

The fact that a woman makes a man wait has nothing to do with his attractiveness. If a woman likes a guy, wants a relationship with him, she wants to make sure that he actually wants that too. Waiting is a way to see what sort of intentions the man has. This is in part probably why men tell lies and sweet talk. Women don’t want to be used, let alone by men they have interest in. For those women that are into short term relationships it’s simply that they don’t care what he actually thinks about her, because she doesn’t care about him. It is not uncommon in STR that the MAN wants a relationship more than the woman. This idea that women want some hot guy for STR and someone ugly for LTR is weird and not accurate. It’s essentially the same men, the difference is mostly if he also has the personality.

Lastly men seem to think that being good looking is all it takes to be perceived as hot. Women don’t see men as objects, he needs to act sexy. This is super important.

(Here we can see that it’s essentially variation of the same guy, a guy that is masculine but not hypermaculine: https://imgur.com/a/0RO5PFn for both STR and LTR)

I don’t say this is right or wrong, it’s just how women tend to think. I can’t say for sure as I don’t do casual relationships.
