Woman lets football players run a train on her, later falsely accuses them of rape. She's sentenced to a year in prison, just 2 months more than what the innocent athletes spent in jail.

It really surprises me why men who are in a relationship with women who belong to a higher class bracket than them are constantly admonished!!!

Found this while reading about divorce laws in India. Notice how they sneakily try to insert anti-men provisions in family law? The bill wasn't passed tho , so that's something to cheer about.

Found this when i was reading about conscriptions. Making it mandatory for only men to sign up for military wasn't enough for the Swiss government , so they decided to Tax the ' unfit ' men who can't work for the military.

In Australia, rape has the highest rate of imprisonment outside of murder. Some offences are less than 1%, but rape is sitting around 25% (Yes, I can't fid the source...)

It is important that if rape and sexual assault offences are to have such high incarceration rates at the bequest of women, then it is crucial that the right people are being incarcerated.

One feminist said to me recently with the Brittany Higgins affair going on that "all men accused of rape must be convicted on a woman's word. I don't care if they are guilty or not, it will teach men a lesson that women must be respected" She got quite annoyed when I told her how stupid that is.

[–]needalife94 126 points127 points128 points 3 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

If that actually happened , where men get jailed from just the word of women , it would make us fear them. Not respect them. I would be willing to bet that alot of men would just not associate with women anymore.

[–]Strange_Bedfellow 70 points71 points72 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

There's already more than enough reasons to not get involved with women as it is. MGTOW is only growing, and with articles like this, its not hard to see why.

[–]mopemardermun 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yupp. If I was still in the West I wouldn't touch women with a 10ft pole. Where I am now it's SLIGHTLY better (in that women don't openly despise and call for the death of men), but I still would never get married

[–]dhoomz 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But they also said mgtow is bad and the condemn it

[–]_Denzo 55 points56 points57 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Then to top it all off, men who are scared of women for this very reason are labelled as incels, in schools here they teach you that incels are horrible people and don’t respect women

[–]needalife94 30 points31 points32 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Most people just use the word as a general insult. Without actually knowing what it means. I had a chick on the interracial dating subreddit call me an incel a few days ago whem she found out that I am apart of this sub.

[–]smfuel871 points 3 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I got banned from a sub I never participated in whatsoever for participating in here. Completely out of the blue for no reason at all. I was just like, "Heh..ok??"

[–]needalife94 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I jave heard those stories.

[–]Alistair_TheAlvarian 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Isn't that just a sub for people in relationships with a partner of a different race?

Like, that seems kinda racist to me honestly, very Jim Crow South in the 1950s of them.

[–]needalife94 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yea , that id what it is for. But I had an argument with a lady who was saying "men don't like black women and think we are gross" and other shit she was putting on me because of her experience with men. So U was telling her it's not all men. We went back and forth a couple of times but she most have checked my profile and seen me active here.

I had a bunch of screenshots of what was said and I was going to post it here. But for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to post multiple pictures. 😂😂

[–]Alistair_TheAlvarian 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If the sub allows it you just select them when you go to post, I think it's easier to do from mobile but I've never tried to post an album from desktop.

Or you use imgur.

But yeah, my first girlfriend in highschool was south African, but also Canadian, it was confusing. But no issues there. Never once did I think gross either were gross. I did get some cute giggling by complimenting her smile as a "high contrast model. And if computer monitors have taught me anything it's that higher contrast is better".

And I dated a girl from Guam who was wonderful. Very not white.

[–]needalife94 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It wouldn't let me select multiple pics.

Yea , I see nothing wrong with dating other races. I don't have a race preference. I have a personality preference. Lol

[–]DouglasMilnes 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would be willing to bet that alot of men would just not associate with women anymore.

A lot more men, you mean.

[–]Darkwolf90 29 points30 points31 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Fear? No, I'm not sure they'd like the standard masculine response to a fairly obvious threatening presence.

[–]needalife94 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea , that's true.

[–]Individual_Guitar595 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That masculine response is useless against state.

[–]mixing_saws 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol dude the state is controlled by people not some robot ais

[–]SoulStomper99 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or grow increasingly violent over the blatent sexism which is growing extremely out of control

[–]Prairie_Strange 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A lot of men are already there, prison is not needed for a man's life to be destroyed by an allegation, however provable false it is.

That is why MGTOW is growing...

[–]RoryTate 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One feminist said to me recently with the Brittany Higgins affair going on that "all men accused of rape must be convicted on a woman's word. I don't care if they are guilty or not, it will teach men a lesson that women must be respected"

This attitude doesn't surprise me one bit. Many of them think this, but they just aren't dumb enough to straight up admit it, even in private.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/194213/crime-clearance-rate-by-type-in-the-us/

In the US, rape is the 4th most convicted crime, it's got a higher rate than a slew of crimes that require physical evidence like theft or burglary. Yet I am told the US is a rape culture that let's rapists off all the time. There is nearly a 3 times success rate convicting someone accused of rape than it is to convict someone who stole a car...

On a side note, RAINN says only 5 per 1K are convicted.... I smell a blatant, misleading lie.

[–]rabel111 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The 5 per 1k convicted includes the estimated number of rapes (accusations reported, withdrawn, where accuser refuses to continue and false accusations). It is the most biased interpretation of the data available.

[–]Prairie_Strange 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Let's not forget it also includes the magical number of "unreported" rapes that always seems to go up and up....

[–]rabel111 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True

[–]Punder_man 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I will never forget the story of Sarah Jane Parkinson and how she falsely accused her partner Dan Jones of multiple counts of rape and assault. (For context see this article from 60 minutes Australia: Innocent Man Jailed)

She abused her power in the local police force to get her way, she lied and lied and LIED about everything and in the end Dan Jones had to leave the state to start over, his parents spent hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting to prove his innocence and end up divorcing due to the stress.

He and his family were NEVER compensated for his false accusations, nor for the four and a half months that he spent locked in a super max prison facility ON A FALSE ACCUSATION

And what did she get? She got 3 years and one month in jail of which she would need to spend at least 2 of those years in jail.

Also, that feminist you met does not seem to understand the slippery slope she's going down with her opinion of sending men who are accused to jail with nothing more than a man's word..

I would ask her: "Would you accept women being sent to jail on the accusation of paternity fraud on a man's word alone?" if not then congratulate her for her double standards and hypocrisy.

[–]bass_of_clubs 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That person is literally a moron.

[–]Angryasfk 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I suspect that’s a more common attitude amongst feminists than many would be willing to accept.

[–]bruh_bro_dude 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She just said the quiet part out loud.

[–]rabel111 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The Australian Albanese government has introduced new "Respect at Work" legislation addressing harassment of "women" in the workplace, as recommended by the Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins (the commissioner who had nothing to say about boys being publically humiliated for their male sex, and forced to apologise for their maleness in Australian schools).

The "sexual harassment" will include inappropriate staring, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome hugging, cornering or kissing (cornering? like in elevators?), sexually suggestive comments or jokes (but not those targeting men, and intrusive questions about private life or physical appearance (so no more asking how was your weekend?).

The draft legislation empowers the Sex Discrimination Commissioner to enforce gender diversity and inclusion in all workplaces, set up public reporting to monitor progress, and create a centralised Office for Staffing and Culture which will create new harassment offenses and enforce these policies.

All victims of rape should feel safe during the criminal prosection of the person they accuse. But with this kind of feminist driven government agenda, what hope is there of malicious accusers being prosecuted in Australia. What confidence can anyone have that their freedom will be protected from political prosecution on the basis of sex, race or religion.

[–]almostadaddy 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

She got quite annoyed when I told her how stupid that is.

The word I would use is not stupid, but EVIL.

People like her are the ones who commit genocide.

[–]AndyBrown65 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Oh yes...that is probably the best word.

As you can imagine, she is about 5'3" and 180 pounds. She blames her PCOS for being fat. She is 52, barren and loves her left politics. "women most affected"

As far as work is concerned, she has her own consulting business consulting to government, so basically not really in the real world.

[–]almostadaddy 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not sure what PCOS means...

[–]AndyBrown65 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

PCOS

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal condition that affects up to 1 in 10 girls and women in their reproductive years. It may cause disruptions to the menstrual cycle, skin and hair changes, as well as cysts on the ovaries.

By all accounts if you are fat, then you have it

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist 669 points670 points671 points 3 years ago3 (17 children) | Copy Link

Of course they are... feminists want the power of men, the privilege of women and the accountability of children.

[–]UchihaMangekyo84 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Lmao, this is so accurate

[–]Nitr0Sage 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Idk what power I supposedly have. Was raped by a woman and everyone just tells me she probably just liked me :/

[–]tempgamee470 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. This 'patriarchy' they are always spouting about dosen't exist for a lot of men. Also I am so sorry you had to go through that.

[–]mastergardnar 68 points69 points70 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Indeed

[–]WingsofSky 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wonder if that should be "power over men" instead of "Power of men"? Definitely power to do anything they want.

[–]zoloftabuser 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Based. I echoed this statement in another thread.

[–]Poseidon7785 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

They say we live in a patriarchal society but that is not accurate, we have been living in a matriarchal society disguised as s patriarchal society, powerful men have always had a women behind telling them what to do and hiding behind them to avoid accountability in case things go sideways...

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely!!! Look at Jada Pinkett Smith (perfect example)

[–]Poseidon7785 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes! That's a perfect example. Harry Windsor and Megan Markle, another perfect example...

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Another great example.

[–]mopemardermun 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

the power of men

Only line I disagree with. They already have far more power than us. More rights. More power politically (feminism is a hugely strong group while men's groups ignored). More power socially (society will bend over backwards to help women).

I would give my right arm for the power women have

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't see it that way. They see men as controlling everything including women and they want that. Remember they are in a constant state of seeing themselves as nothing but victims.

[–]Hype-And-Style 368 points369 points370 points 3 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

It's 100% in the public's interest to prosecute false accusers. I'm glad the UK does this I hope the shitty US and the rest of the world grows some balls and follows suit.

[–]mrbill12341 points 3 years ago [recovered] (7 children) | Copy Link

I live in the UK - honestly this is a bullshit article. Hardly any women are prosecuted.

[–]TheAngryGoat 78 points79 points80 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah this is vanishingly rare. Much much rarer than false accusations.

An old friend was falsely accused of rape. Even though he was very well documented to be out of the country at the time he still had an extremely shitty time getting rid of the charges. When he tried to get action taken against her, he was told "lol no".

Despite the blatant lies in this article, the truth is that both rape and false allegations of rape by women are far far more prevalent than acknowledged in this country, and even in the rare cases where any action is taken against them, they are extremely unlikely to face any actual repercussions.

[–]mixing_saws 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Avoid women. Follow pence principle. Go MGTOW and enjoy life. Women need us more than we need them.

[–]Prairie_Strange 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But, even ONE woman punished for her false accusations is one woman too many!

/s

[–]Redragon9 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but if there is no evidence of rape, then the man cannot be prosecuted.

They’re not prosecuting people based on the words of one person against another.

[–]mrbill12346 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Actually they are.

[–]Punder_man 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not sure where you've been living for the past 5 years or so.. but #MeToo and #BelieveALLWomen don't care about things like facts or evidence..

#MeToo is a social justice movement which aims to circumvent due process and will call upon people to cancel men who are accused of rape Going so far as to e-mail spam their bosses and stir up controversy which forces the business to fire the man accused.

And if it turns out that the woman was mistaken or dare I say it.. LYING about her accusation? Oh well, who cares! because all men are equally guilty in their eyes even if he didn't do it, he's still guilty by association and so deserved to be cancelled anyway..

Go read the story of Sara Jane Parkinson: Who LIED about being assaulted / raped by her partner

She fabricated evidence and there were many red flags which should have caused the police to question the facts..
But they didn't and her partner whom is a former prison corrections worker spent 4 and a half months locked away in a super max facility.

He was essentially arrested and treated as guilty on little more than her word.
So yeah, men DO get arrested / tried on very little evidence.

[–]craigmunday 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wasn't the CPS responsible for jailing innocent men who had been falsely accused? The name Jemma Beale comes to mind who had 15 male victims of her lies

[–]SoulStomper99 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hey m8. Im from the US and thats likely not gunna happen. Our country is going extremely downhill with little to no hope surviving

[–]Hype-And-Style 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am too and I agree it's declining.

[–]NibblyPig 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

100% in victims of SA's interest as well. Every false claim makes it harder for people to believe women.

[–]Hype-And-Style 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely

[–]mopemardermun 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nah fuck off with that shite. I'm sick of us trying to somehow make a thing where men are the main victims into an "in hurts women too" issue. It's the false accusatio equivalent of "women are the primary victims of war"

[–]NibblyPig 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not about that, it's about pointing out that women shouldn't be rolling their eyes going ugh men who cares, because even if they're man hating feminists they should be able to at least acknowledge that working to solve this issue will benefit them as well.

[–]mrbill123410 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I find it quite funny too that they mention Alison Saunders bringing about all these false accusation charges. She was (at the time) the director of public prosecutions - the top person in the Crown Prosecution Service - and SHE was the one bringing about all the bogus charges and trials on obviously innocent men. The most egregious of which was the Mark Pearson case. If you have not read up on it - please do. He literally bumped into someone at a train station - all on CCTV - for maybe half a second - and they prosecuted him for rape. The jury took 15 minutes to find him not guilty - it was that bad of a prosecution, but he went through hell.

You can read a bit more - and maybe give him a few £ to help get an apology from the police and the CPS - who have been trying their best to sweep this under the carpet and make him go away.

Daily Mail (yes a tabloid, but they say it how it is), has more details post trial:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2671095/What-did-utterly-wicked-Judge-slams-lying-law-graduate-claimed-boyfriend-raped-excuse-failing-exams-jailed-three-half-years.html

Clearly the buzzfeed "journalists" were being very selective in their reporting.

[–]mrbill12341 points 3 years ago [recovered] (105 children) | Copy Link

Such a one sided article. They go on about the mental anguish and loss of anonymity when they are charged for lying. Never mind the same for the men that are falsely accused and often charged and tried.

[–]NibblyPig 39 points40 points41 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

And from the article they link themselves about her arrest:

Mr Fensome, a 6ft 8in heavy metal fan, was arrested, charged and held in custody for 36 days before police confirmed he had clear alibis for the dates of the alleged rapes.

Nor does the buzzfeed article mention how she faked her injuries.

Somehow it paints her as the victim. Amazing.

[–]LettuceBeGrateful 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, that's what struck me. "She was arrested without consent!" "She had to endure a trial!" "The poor girl is now a convict!"

Gee, just like victims of false accusations? This article is so awful it reads like satire.

She was arrested without consent? So now you have to agree before going to jail... So you can go and kill somebody and then avoid prison because you don't consent to go there... Female serial killers must be taking notes

False accusations are so much worse than rape.

[–]ReWildingOfMen 43 points44 points45 points 3 years ago (95 children) | Copy Link

Erm.... No

False accusations ARE horrific. BUT they are NOT as bad as rape.

False accusations also make it more difficult for GENUINE victims of rape/CSA to be believed...

Which is all the more reason to come down incredibly hard upon those that make false allegations.

And come down incredibly super duper hard on those that legitimately rape another... That is a severe evil that NEEDS to be punished severely.

If feminists want to protect their fellow women, they need to expose and call out, those narcisisistic witches who make false allegations against men.

[–]throwaway85807566595 24 points25 points26 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was a victim of rape. I watched what happened to my son when he was falsely accused. I wouldn't say we can say one or the other is worse automatically. Circumstances matter more than the act. Both can be extremely mentally traumatizing or just bothersome depending on what exactly happened and the fallout from the event.

[–]ReWildingOfMen 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

My response I was typing to the comment that has since been deleted:

I have briefly outlined, literally that.

Which is far more than you have done.

Have YOU suffered rape AND allegations of rape? As that is the tone of the conversation that you are setting?

Share your story and the impact of it, don't snipe from behind cover. I will not shame you nor try and minimise what has been done to you.

I can meet you halfway also; for example the false allegations of my ex, primarily of emotional psychologicaly and emotional abuse. And her attempts to try and paint me as a sexual abuser of her and our children, has caused immeasurable harm, including a few misguided people that will try and assault me should our paths cross. (On top of all those other things I've already outlined)

I do not think you have read my words so accurately.

And it's a shame you cannot see how strongly I am saying that false allegations against men ARE horrific. And often bear a terrible cost.

I absolutely am onboard with, how damaging false allegations of rape can be, I've seen it in my own life and in several others.

And I can agree with were I infer you are coming from, in so much as; False allegations can cause more damage to a man's life and circumstances, compared to IF he was instead raped as a grown man.

But that doesn't make false allegations worse than rape, both are horrific, and both impact sometimes in different ways. Comparing these things as you are is a zero sum game. No one wins.

Share your story, and I am truly sorry for whatever evil you have suffered.

[–]Malzun 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've suffered both. I've posted about it here before. My rapist used accusations to shield herself from what she'd done to me. The impact those accusations had on me were FAR worse than what she'd done to me physically.

[–]ReWildingOfMen 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hear you my friend.

And I am so terribly sorry that it happened to you.

In many ways the accusations my ex has made against me, are more terrible than if she had raped me. I've lost my kids for now, which is always the thing that has most threatened to drive me over the edge and self delete.

I totally hear you, that in your situation, the false allegations has an even worse impact.

I'm sorry, she sounds utterly terrible.

And thankyou for sharing, I'm sorry - I hadn't read any previous posts of yours about it, so had no context.

All the best.

[–]skgody1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Have you experienced both?

[–]ReWildingOfMen 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes.

I was first raped as a two month old baby, last raped as a 31 year old man. I also suffered torture (strangulation, hanging, slithers of metal under my finger nails, electrocution and drowning), I also bore witness to other children being ritualistically sacrificed alongside me.

And my narcisistic ex, who has sought to destroy me, yes has made false allegations against me, although not of me sexually assaulting her/our children although she would of she could (has tried floating the idea with those around her to see if they take the bait, they did not). Through her covert abuse and false accusations of me emotional and psychological abusing her and the kids (narcisisist projection), so I have lost almost all of my friends, income, community, home, and even access to my own children who I love more than anything.

Being raped is FARRR worse. But it is still horrific to have false allegations made against you. A good friend of mine hung himself a few years ago as a result of such narcisisist abuse from his wife who was leaving him for another man and denying him access to his children.

Oh, one previous girlfriend did make false allegations of a sexual nature against me aswell... But for me to go through the various chapters of my life, would exceed the Reddit word count per post.

Does that give enough experience in your eyes, for me to comment in such a way as I have?

[+]ExcusePrestigious213 -21 points-20 points-19 points 3 years ago (87 children) | Copy Link

False accusations are and should be punishable. The article is wrong that this is not the case in other European countries. Yet it is extremely difficult to even prove real rape, so I doubt that false accusations have any major impact on a regular basis. They mostly also won’t face problems in society, since defamation is punishable by law and names of suspects and even charged criminals are withheld in mainstream media.

[–]ReWildingOfMen 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (84 children) | Copy Link

I do not think current laws or classifications or punishments are anywhere near sufficient for those who make false allegations (or for those who rape).

Flash allegations often lead to a man's life being irreparably harmed.... It often leads to the man taking his own life.

To make false allegations is an act of malice, and of evil. And should be punished accordingly.

Also it causes untold harm for those who have legitimately suffered rape, which again highlights the serious need for far more severe sentencing.

IF you wish to protect women better, then you need to campaign against women who make false allegations, almost as strenuously as you campaign against men who rape women.

[+]ExcusePrestigious213 -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Depends on the country, but europe in general is actually pretty good in the false allegation regard (or privacy in general). Since it is punishable by law and names are not published.

The malice part of the false allegations has to be proven though, which would be just as difficult as proving rape. Since for example some victims do think they recognize their rapist, because the suspect looks similar or are even influenced during questioning (example of the boy that was made believe to have killed his sister and even admitted to it, but they found the real murderer later).

[–]ReWildingOfMen 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, mistaken identity I'll give you as a consideration.

But those that do make false allegations, are motivated by malice, that's what I meant.

[+]ExcusePrestigious213 -8 points-7 points-6 points 3 years ago (81 children) | Copy Link

I do agree that it is important, that malice false allegations should be punishable (they are) but in a way, that doesn’t fear real rape victims to report to the police because they might not have sufficient evidence. So for example someone who is bragging to their friends about how they falsely accused someone should definitely be punished. But just the lack of sufficient evidence is not and should not be considered as a false allegation (which some are demanding here).

[–]duhhhh 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (78 children) | Copy Link

But just the lack of sufficient evidence is not and should not be considered as a false allegation (which some are demanding here).

What percentage of users here are demanding that? Are the users making such comments more than two weeks old and do they have positive karma?

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (57 children) | Copy Link

Does it matter how much karma they have? Behind those profiles are real people who actually think like that.

[–]duhhhh 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (56 children) | Copy Link

Most less than two week old negative karma accounts are not real people's opinions around here. They are bots, trolls, or false flags.

False flags🤔 What false flag should that be exactly?

[–]duhhhh4 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Seems suspicious when the egregious examples they post are nearly all new accounts or first time posters to our group rather than long term users, but ... why don't you go hang out there instead of here, cause you aren't learning or contributing anything of value here.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I did and I brought them and I stated an opinion. You’re the one making up “false flag” stories to dismiss the misogynist comments here. Where was I proven wrong? For what argument?

[–]duhhhh5 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You brought up US statistics. I proved they were bullshit. So you switched to Australian statistics rather than rebutt my explanation or conceed the stats you quoted are bullshit.

https://old.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/yodse5/feminists_are_mad_that_false_rape_accusers_are/iveaptv/

I specifically mentioned less than two week old accounts with negative karma not being representative of the beliefs around here and listed false flags as one of those types of accounts. You are arguing those accounts represent the subreddit as much as the regular users. Why?

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I didn’t say any of such thing, that these users represent the Subreddit. My comment said that some people demanded it. I didn’t say the whole subreddit demands it. Only that there are SOME who think like it.

[–]duhhhh5 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And I asked how many more than two weeks old with positive karma (because I don't think those users are representative of the subreddits beliefs). You changed the goalposts and started going down a path that false flags aren't a thing on reddit and the misandrists in BlatantMisogyny are honest.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You still don’t read. I never said these users represent any subreddit. They represent THEIR OWN VIEW. That’s why you don’t need to feel addressed when you’re not part of them. I never said false flags aren’t a thing, but it’s pretty obvious that you don’t have any proof for that, just some general hate against feminists and pulled out another thing to blame them for (without reason lol). I never said about if these people are honest, now you’re making up stuff again. But you were obviously not, because you said they banned you without saying anything and lying the reason was they didn’t want proof😉

[–]duhhhh4 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You didn’t prove anything lmao. So every countries statistics are bullshit? Let’s hear from you then, Reddit qualified data collector🥰

They represent their own view, that’s enough.

[–]duhhhh3 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I proved the US statistics you referenced eliminated the overwhelming majority of male victims and female perpetrators. I showed who was behind the bias. I provided CDC data (which was the primary source for your source) from four years, NIH data, and an academic study of young adults. So you ignored the US and switched to another country I am less familiar with to "win" and prove men are rapists while ignoring the fact that the country you initially brought up shows nonconsensual sex isn't very gendered while the bias in the statistics is very gendered.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Even in the US statistic the vast majority of rapists is men. The same goes for every other sexual assault offender, simply because it’s much more common for the female population. But you just don’t seem to be able to do basic math.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

50something% male vs 40something% female does not make a vast majority to me. How do you describe a vast majority?

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The CDC doesn’t show these numbers you’re staying here. We went through several sources before. Please make the effort to read them.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yes. They deny nonconsensual envelopment, which occurs at about the same annual rate as nonconsensual penetration, is rape. But they do publish statistics for both forms of rape ... as I outlined and told you exactly which tables to look at. Please make the effort to read them.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I made the effort to read them and me and another commenter already went through it. And no the non consensual penetration is still not the same number as rape of women. And you’re forgetting the numbers of rape of men which are mostly commited by men in your calculation.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Made to penetrate and rape have approximately the same annual occurrence in the 2010s. If you read the documents you'd see they say the rate is too low to get an annual occurrence rate for men raping men. The overwhelming majority of male victims are raped by women, it is just put under "other sexual violence" instead of "rape", because women rarely penetrate their victims.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

“About 1 in 14 men (7.1% or nearly 7.9 million) in the U.S. was made to penetrate someone else (attempted or completed) at some point in their lifetime.” “Approximately 1 in 5 (21.3% or an estimated 25.5 million) women in the U.S. reported completed or attempted rape at some point in their lifetime.”

2015 numbers

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And when you add up the under 18 and 2010s annual numbers, you get more than 7.1% of men. During the years we have annual data, men and women are victimized at about the same rate. Kinda odd, don't ya think?

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

During the last 12 months it was 1.5 million women who were raped and 827,000 men who were made to penetrate (2015). So nearly double the rate is the same for you? Interesting.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I provided every year, so I'm aware of the 2015 numbers. But if you want to have a disingenuous argument...

"NISVS 2012 showed that in the past 12 months, 1.7% of men were made to penetrate and 1.0% of women were raped. 70% more men are getting raped than women. More women are raping than men. Women evil rapists. Men victims."

Kinda sounds like a shit argument to not look at all the years, eh? Exactly the same way you sound when denying male victimization.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

They don't add up unless you believe that every man in the US that has experienced rape or made to penetrate was either victimized before 18 or in the 2010s...

Why do you think the annual prevalence from the CDC, the NIH numbers, and the dozens of sources in problem_redditors five threads are all wrong? Doesn't fit your narrative?

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don’t say they are wrong, but for every other year the annual ones also show that numbers for females are nearly double. You seem to only accept the one that fits your narrative. I’m not dismissing their studies. I look at countrywide numbers, not the prevalence of male child victims in a school in some rural area in papa Neuguinea. That’s a serious problem for that rural area, but doesn’t reflect the whole population.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I quoted four years data and took the averages. You are the one focusing on 2015 only which was the outlier! I also provided data from a different government agency looking at it from a different perspective.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I am not denying male victimization. I said the vast majority of rapists are men (including the made to penetrate). The same goes for every other sexual assault. I don’t deny that men are victims too. But that wasn’t the question here.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Once you include made to penetrate, the vast majority of male victims are victimized by women. Denying them as rape victims is denying the overwhelming majority of male victimization.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I am not denying them as victim. It doesn’t change the fact though that the majority of rapists are men. Simply because rape is more common for females to happen in their lifetime. The same goes for every other sexual assault category.

[–]duhhhh1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

69.6% (2015) male reported female only perpetrators when made to penetrate. 94% females reported men only for rape. Yes so similar

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And still the total numbers show, that the majority of perpetrators are men. Doesn’t change that, just because you don’t like the outcome.

How am I a dismissive asshole? Because I’m saying that it should be punishable and it is already? But only when it is proven to be malice? Ah yes, none of these comments here, especially not in this subreddit lmao.

[–]duhhhh6 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The "it is already" is the asshole part. Get some awareness of the situation. Because it can be, but very rarely is. Evidence of serial false accusations often cannot even be brought into trial due to rape shield laws so the jury can't know the accuser has falsely accused 10 other people in the last 5 years and there is plenty of evidence. If it already was happening in effect, we wouldn't be up in arms about it.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I’m talking about Europe. It is punishable by law to make false accusations, even defamation alone is punishable. And yes that is actually very often brought into trial. It rarely is punished, I said exactly the same, because it is just as hard to prove as the rape itself.

[–]duhhhh4 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I think you need to read more around here. Some egregious offenders like Jemma Beale were eventually prosecuted. But a guy went to prison first because his defense team wasn't allowed to tell the jury about her string of false accusations for money. There was plenty of evidence, but it couldn't be disclosed to the jury.

Yes, most cases are she said he said. It is hard to prove either way, but when there is evidence, proven liars are rarely prosecuted for political reasons. That is what we have a problem with. A lack of evidence can't be helped. A lack of caring is a societal problem with a solution.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I never said it was impossible. Just that it is seldom. Because rape itself is hard to prove, yet alone does then a false accusation actually get someone into jail. It does happen in few unfortunate cases, but that’s the same for murder cases and every other crime. The risk of jailing the wrong one is always there because the system is not perfect. Yet Europe has one of the best laws to protect from defamation and false accusations.

[–]duhhhh6 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yet Europe has one of the best laws to protect from defamation and false accusations.

Our complaint is they are rarely enforced because of propaganda that 1) false accusations don't do much damage and 2) prosecuting false accusers with lots of evidence against them would harm rape victims.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

1) But they literally don’t in most cases, if we’re being honest. They keep their jobs, are still celebrated in Hollywood or become president. Even the proven ones. And that’s in a country where privacy is not so much a thing. 2) They are doing it though. But it has to be proven without a doubt.

[–]duhhhh7 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

1) Apex fallacy spotted. The rich, powerful, and beautiful have advantages the average person does not. It has much bigger impacts on average people. It often traumatizes and destroys the lives of average people.

2) It can't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt by a jury if prosecutors won't bring a case when they have the evidence.

  1. It’s the contrary. Because of that it even gets less publicity
  2. They have to if there is enough evidence. And your lawyer can object the decision, so another instance will look at it.

[–]duhhhh5 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

1) Evidence?

2) Not in the US or UK. Not sure what countries allow lawyers to bring criminal charges. I am not familiar with any. Who pays for the lawyers to prosecute criminals in those cases?

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

  1. You really need evidence that a Chris brown gets more publicity than some Trevor in Ohio?
  2. Thanks for proving you can’t read. I repeatedly said EUROPE. The state pays for it.

[–]duhhhh4 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Trevor in Ohio gets kicked out of college, looses access to his children, looses his job, is shunned, etc and then quietly isolates himself, goes into therapy for years, or offs himself and almost no one cares. "False accusations are extremely rare" after all.

Europe? I've never heard of this. Help me learn. Name three countries in Europe where lawyers can bring criminal cases to court and the state pays for it. I thought European countries had government prosecutors offices that had to do that.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Definitely not, since sexual assault in college is even more prevalent than in the general population. Nobody loses their job (we have labor laws in Europe).

[–]duhhhh5 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You are ignorant of the government mandated Title IX kangaroo courts in US colleges. Men, especially black men, are routinely kicked out of university without due process, access to legal counsel, access to the evidence against them, the ability to provide counter evidence/witness accounts, etc. Fixing the due process was one of the few great things the Trump administration did. Biden administration has reversed it and we are right back where we were.

People routinely lose their job in the US over unproven accusations. Our labor laws suck.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The question is in what country are you not able to object the decision whether it’s brought to court?

[–]duhhhh3 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

In the US it comes down to the local district attorney (state or county government official) or federal prosecutor. UK is t to bring criminal charges. This change in the UK to prosecute false accusers is more fallout from years of the crown prosecutorial service withholding exonerating evidence against the accused in rape trials during Allison Saunders reign.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]duhhhh5 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And can he bring criminal charges or is he asking a prosecutor to bring charges?

[–]ReWildingOfMen 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes.

It is quite a balance to try and find.... To make it safe for genuine victims to come forward AND for those that take advantage of such systems to face stern repercussions.

In my story of CSA etc... for example, there is NO point in me going the legal route, as I would be disbelieved and ridiculed... Never mind that some I was trafficked among were judges and police..

For me, my path of justice and vengeance lies outside of the current legal system... Or more accurately put - means changing the legal system so that justice and vengeance can be gotten.

One of the biggest things that can be done to help balance this... Is for the public to be more aware of the plague of narcisisists and covert narcisisists that surround us.

And also, particularly for women, particularly for feminazism to come to understand that there is a LOT of false allegations made against men, of a sexual or whatever else nature...

Really women can make such a difference with this.

And to make false accusations against another is by definition an act of malice and spite... Comparable to attempted murder. And should be treated as such.

And yes we need safeguards in place that means that legitimate victims are not wrongly punished....

Abusers who do so well in 'the system' are adept an incriminating innocent people, wether that innocent person he a victim of false allegations OR be trying to legitimately pursue justice against their rapist-absuer.

We need to acknowledge and honour both... Society being better informed about Narcs in general the best medicine.. but our society is a fundamentally corrupt and narcisisistic one anyway... And is operating exactly as designed.

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

100% agree. The percentages of narcissists are only estimates, but it is so common, it is really scary. And even according to these rather low estimates, nearly every person is likely to date a narcissist at least once in their life. Which is why abuse rates are so high as well.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I doubt that false accusations have any major impact on a regular basis. They mostly also won’t face problems in society, since defamation is punishable by law

???? what is this logic ????

Murder is punishable by law, does that mean those who are murdered don't face any problems?

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are we comparing now murder to someone telling a police officer they have been raped? There’s not even a trial for the accused person without evidence. The investigations aren’t public and if someone is spreading this lie publicly in your social circle or online, this person gets punished and not you. We have laws in Europe for it. The system is never perfect, such as people falsely get imprisoned for a murder they didn’t do. Yet people going to jail for false accusations is extremely rare. It’s already rare for people to go into jail for real rape due to lack of evidence.

TRUTH. My ex wife flat out told me the DA and Judge asked her excessively if I raped or beat her. They were basically trying to get her to lie and willing to run with it. She was a good woman and did not, but it's such a common weapon even the courts were basically suggesting she make it up. Judge and DA were both female, in case that matters... which I think it does here.

J Depp story was also amazing. Feminists' crazy hate and dogma never stops surprising me. These people demonize men while they support criminals of a false rape claim which will ruin those accused men's whole career and mental health.

And yet dogma first. Always. And they claim feminism good. This is not just culture war but a serious situation. Statistically, the false rape accusations might not happen a lot, but the problem is feminists support the criminals just because they are female.

[–]PoolPartyAtMyHouse 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The Depp/Heard suit gave us a very massive shining example how feminism will ALWAYS default to the woman no matter the evidence.

Britain’s approach stands in stark contrast to that of the US, Australia, Canada, and other European countries. Women in these countries do not typically face prosecution – let alone prison – for lying about rape, state prosecutors and experts said, because it’s not considered to be in the public interest.

of course they are angry because in other countries they can do everything without the risk of the false rape accusation backfires

Holy crap how fucking tone deaf is this article?

Britain’s approach stands in stark contrast to that of the US, Australia, Canada, and other European countries. Women in these countries do not typically face prosecution – let alone prison – for lying about rape

Let that sink in for a moment.. "Women in other countries do not typically face prosecution - let alone prison for LYING ABOUT RAPE!!

How fucked up is that? Are we really expected to take the stance of "Well, yes she lied.. but its not like her lies actually HURT anyone right?"

False rape complaints can ruin lives. Even suspects who are quickly exonerated can face public scrutiny and lose their jobs and reputations. But such cases are rare: A 2012 Ministry of Justice study estimated that only 3% of rape reports were “perceived to be malicious”. In contrast, most victims don’t report a rape to the police and when they do, a successful prosecution is unlikely. Only one reported rape in 14 results in a conviction.

And here we go, the classic "Yes, False Rape complaints can ruin lives, but they are like so rare that we should totally ignore them in favor of pushing for convictions!!"

Fuck right off! I'm sorry, but we can't possibly know the true number of 'False Rape Accusations" because unless there's evidence proving the accusation was false or the woman recants. How many accusations which get dropped due to 'lack of evidence' were actually false / malicious?

We will never know,

The policy is meant to restrain law enforcement from going after people who did not make clear and malicious accusations, those who are young or mentally ill, or those who have experienced past abuse.

Oh, so if a woman is young, mentally ill or has experienced past abuse that means they should simply get a free pass on making false accusations?Funny how men can also fall into the category of young, mentally ill or have experienced past abuse but does this stop them from being sent to jail?

No, It does not!

Rhiannon is now a convicted criminal, virtually unemployable and forever tarred as a liar.

How does equality taste from down there?
Because how many falsely accused men does this apply to? And how little sympathy do falsely accused men receive?

As feminists keep saying "When you are accustomed to privilege (The ability to make false accusations without repercussions) then Equality (Being held accountable for making false accusations) can FEEL like oppression"

“It is not in the public interest to aggressively prosecute disbelieved rape complainants,” Avalos said. “Rape victims commonly express the concern that police do not believe them and do not take them seriously, and these types of prosecutions only serve to reinforce victims’ fear of being treated poorly if they come forward.”

Yet, apparently it IS "Within the public interest" to aggressively trial and convict men without considering for a second "Could this be a case of a false accusation?"
It also seems to be "Within the public interest" to act as if an accusation of rape alone is enough evidence to PROVE guilt..

What this all boils down to is: A man's life can be RUINED by the mere ACCUSATION of rape from a woman, even if she recants or the case gets dropped because of lack of evidence the accusation alone is enough to ruin him. If a falsely accused man gets sent to jail he's often looking at 10+ years.
IF a woman gets prosecuted for a false accusation she might get a jail sentence of 2-3 years..

Sorry for being all over the show here but this article is just horrible..
They are saying flat out that women who LIE about rape should not be prosecuted They admit that yes, women lie about rape but try to spin it with "But False rape accusations a super rare"

Its just so fucking disgusting...

[–]MadMic1314 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The law needs to change so the accused is also protected from being named at all until the case has finished in the Courts.

At the moment the papers get hold of a rape investigation and plaster the name of the accused all over the place. This totally blows away innocent until proven guilty

Innocent people have committed suicide because of false allegations.

[–]el_doherz 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not just the papers though. In this day and age it's social media damage too.

For example, look at Mason Greenwood. He was permanently ruined before the police even knew there was an alleged offence.

Now frankly if he did what it appears he did then fuck him. But the precedent it sets of complete social ruin before the police are even involved is dangerous.

[–]bass_of_clubs 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is absolutely outrageous.

To be convicted of a crime in the UK, a jury of 12 must (usually unanimously) find you guilty “beyond a reasonable doubt”. This is a very high bar to get over.

The justice system isn’t perfect, but it is very robust. The laws apply to everyone regardless of gender. At sentencing, mitigating circumstances are taken into account.

A three-and-a-half year sentence is a pretty significant sentence in the UK. The facts will have shown guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, and all of the circumstances of the individual and the case will have been taken into account at sentencing.

Even for Buzzfeed, this is an appalling standard of journalism.

...are both nations in which women can rape with impunity. Indeed when the Indian government proposed gender neutral rape laws feminists took to the streets in protest. Furthermore India has arrested adolescent boys after the women who raped them ended up pregnant. In the west we only force them to pay child support.

We all know rape does happen, and it would be nice if people could come forward and be taken seriously and get a predator off the street, but there is too many lies. I knew a girl from an old job who was super into a guy coworker who had a girlfriend, the guy was a player even with a girlfriend and slept with the girl. After it happened she was bragging to everyone on how great the sex was, how big his dick was, the common bragging of bagging someone out of her league. Turns out guy ghosted her and wasn't going to leave his girlfriend. Guess who now has a pencil dick and raped her? She ruined me automatically believing what I hear and wanting some harder evidence, which is a blessing but also I wish she never would have went down that path of lying. I am a little uncomfortable with the stance of “making women feel comfortable coming forward” in regards to reporting rape. I understand where it’s coming from but at the same time you can’t make them feel too comfortable so as to just simply point a finger and a respectable man gets thrown in jail, loses his job and gets his kids taken away. I am also not convinced by the “but false accusations are so rare” counter argument. If laws and enforcement of said laws can be abused and weaponized, then it will happen and probably has happened to a much greater extent than what is reported in the media.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. That is nothing but a Strawman argument. The system is problematic, the scale of the number itself is just a subjective matter. Feminists' weapon is sex, and that's why they focus on attacking falsely accused men. They even go for "we-will-have-no-sex protest" which shows they're just weaponizing their sex. Perhaps somebody can say rape victims/ murder victims are not that many, since it's totally subjective matter. It is not even a logical argument.

[–]bass_of_clubs 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She didn’t mean to lie. But she did. And she’s not a child. And lying about rape to prosecution has consequences.

It felt to me much like someone who went to the grocery store, while they were on the phone with a friend they placed a candy bar in their pocket for convenience, and continued on. After they’ve paid (without scanning the candy bar), and as they’re exiting the store they remembered that they didn’t pay for the candy bar, but decide to continue exiting the store. CCTV captures this and cops arrest them for shoplifting. Yes it’s different from someone who planned to steal, but it’s still theft and an active choice to keep leaving the store.

[–]delocalelectron 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There is, unfortunately, part of the UK where different rules apply. Dorothy Bain QC, Scotland's Chief Prosecutor, has been influenced by the 'Scottish Feminist Judgements Project' to remove the 'Not Proven' verdict, which was unique to Scots Law. This prevented men being jailed on the basis of dodgy evidence, and has been removed 'in order to ensure more successful outcomes in rape trials.'

Successful outcomes? So - there is an automatic assumption that the man must be guilty?

It gets worse. The next stage, under active consultation, is to remove trial by jury in rape cases. Why? Because 'Juries appear unwilling to convict young men.' Unquote.

So, before long, Scotland will have rape cases decided by 'trauma-informed' judges only. If this sounds bad for men, that's because it is.

[–]delocalelectron 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In a comprehensive study of false allegations, 17 of the 25 studies gave a rate of false allegation between 10% and 47%. [Philip N S Rumney, The Cambridge Law Journal, 65 (1), 12th March 2006, pages 128 - 158]

The tragic result of false allegations has been studied [W. Collins, The Illustrated Empathy Gap (2018)] From 146 cases of proven false allegation, there were 16 male deaths. Suicide of the wrongly accused accounts for 12. One was the suicide of the accused's mother. One was a homicide, due to vigilante action. One was the death, in prison, of an innocent man.

From the article

Lisa Avalos, an American law professor who studies false rape reports. She has not found another Western country that “encourages” charges against suspected false rape reporters as a matter of policy, nor has she been able to find a case in which an American accused of falsely reporting rape has faced a jury trial.

So only one country protects men from false rape accusations by legally going after the accuser who is trying to use the power of the state to kidnap men.

... and she thinks the problem is that it is being done at all?

The UK police can’t be that “aggressive” the “award winning actress” who clearly lied about Mark Pearson has not been charged or even named and shamed. And the same thing is true of Liam Alan’s accuser, despite her SMS saying the sex wasn’t against her will causing the case to collapse.

Clearly the feminist authors don’t think that malicious accusers should be prosecuted. Presumably they think men should be convicted of rape on accusation alone.

I've been waiting to see this for a long time, it's such a serious charge and there are people getting falsely accused like the post about that guy that tried to leave his alcoholic GF, I believe if the defendant is proven to be guilty they should get life and if they are found innocent the plaintiff should get the time. There is no way in hell the last 4 women I dated were all victims there is absolutely no way I have that kinda luck, statistics say 1 in 6 and I have easily dated 10 women and half of them claimed to be victims.

[+]ExcusePrestigious213 -10 points-9 points-8 points 3 years ago (70 children) | Copy Link

Those are rape statistics…and these crimes are underreported in general. Nearly half of the female population experienced sexual violence. And the abuse statistics are somewhere in between both. This is actually very likely, that they experienced it. And there is no “proven innocent”, they are proven guilty or the case is closed due to not enough evidence. Doesn’t mean that the accused is innocent then.

[–]Darkwolf90 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (69 children) | Copy Link

Rapists are less then 2% of the population, the average rapist creates 12 victims. Being convicted also doesn't mean they were actually guilty. Proven beyond a reasonable doubt is the standard in the U.S for a reason. There should always be an acknowledgement of doubt, otherwise your being an idiot committing willful ignorance. Rape has also been proven to have more false accusations then other crimes, we act as if men are rapists despite nearly equal numbers between the sexes and the reality that people not reporting their own violation is a huge, majority factor in what allows these criminals to go on and create more victims.

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (50 children) | Copy Link

And the vast majority of rapists are indeed men. Nearly equal numbers? Where did you invent that statistic?

[–]Angryasfk 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

From taking a definition of rape that defines it as sex without consent, as opposed to a definition that restricts it to penetration by a body part. The second is clearly going to be heavily weighted towards male perpetrators.

[–]IamGroot61090 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea this is important bc rape for a boy/man is defined as being penetrated, and we know good and well you can be raped without penetration. So yea a standard Google search would render you useless statistics unless you go by the "without consent" definition.

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Then another example: Australia’s sexual assault offenders are 97% male. Nothing to do with penetration here. https://www.aihw.gov.au/getmedia/0375553f-0395-46cc-9574-d54c74fa601a/aihw-fdv-5.pdf.aspx?inline=true

[–]Angryasfk 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

You don’t think the “97% male” rate somewhat suspicious? They do not define what they classify as sexual assault either.

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

No I don’t think so. Then most countries would seem to have the same “suspicious” statistics.

[–]Angryasfk 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

As I’ve said, many countries define rape so that only men can be perpetrators. Mary Kos insists that “it’s not the same” if women force sex on men.

And you’re linking to what is basically a small fact sheet. It doesn’t give the basis for r definitions. It does not say that 97% of perpetrators of sexual assault are men, it says that 97% registered by the police are men. So is this 97% of those convicted are men? That 97% that are registered as sex offenders are men? That 97% of complaints made to police allege a male perpetrator?

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Sexual assault includes not only rape.

[–]Angryasfk6 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]Angryasfk6 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So there’s plenty of female perpetrators then, and very few of them are going to be reported to the police much less have the complaints acted upon.

We, like most normal people, define rape as nonconsensual sex. Those "rape" statistics feminists repeatedly quote are based on Mary Koss's sexist bigoted methodologies and exclude nonconsensual envelopment of a penis as rape. She is a women's studies professors and world renowned expert on sexual violence. This is part of her methodology:

Although consideration of male victims is within the scope of the legal statutes, it is important to restrict the term rape to instances where male victims were penetrated by offenders. It is inappropriate to consider as a rape victim a man who engages in unwanted sexual intercourse with a woman.

Src: http://boysmeneducation.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Koss-1993-Detecting-the-Scope-of-Rape-a-review-of-prevalence-research-methods-see-p.-206-last-paragraph.pdf

Here is a radio interview decades later explaining that a man drugged and ridden bareback by a woman was not a victim of "rape" or "sexual assault" but merely "unwanted contact" a form of "other sexual violence" that doesn't count as sexual assault.

https://clyp.it/uckbtczn

She and those that follow her methodologies are the reason feminists can say "99% of rapists are men" while in a typical year less than 60% of nonconsensual sex is committed by men.

NISVS 2010 showed that in the past 12 months, 1.1% of men were made to penetrate and 1.1% of women were raped. Look at Table 2.1 and 2.2 on pages 18 and 19 respectively.

NISVS 2011 showed that in the past 12 months, 1.7% of men were made to penetrate and 1.6% of women were raped. Look at Table 1 on page 5.

NISVS 2012 showed that in the past 12 months, 1.7% of men were made to penetrate and 1.0% of women were raped. Look at Table A.1 and A.5 on pages 217 and 222 respectively.

NISVS 2015 showed that in the past 12 months, 0.7% of men were made to penetrate and 1.2% of women were raped. Look at Table 1 and 2 on page 15 and 16 respectively

Varies a bit from year to year, but pretty even overall. In both cases the four year annual percentages add up to five. The numbers for perpetrators vary a little from year to year too. Something like 79-84% of made to penetrate (nonconsensual envelopment) victims are victimized by women. Something like 96-99% of rape (nonconsensual penetration) victims are victimized by men. So in the 2010s, it averages out that a typical year has about 60% men and 40% women as perpetrators of nonconsensual sex outside prisons rather than the 99:1 ratio typically discussed.

Again, in 2010s about equal victims and 60/40 perpetrator split between the sexes when talking about nonconsensual sex rather than narrowly defined rape.

If you don't like the CDC surveying victims...

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/sexual-victimization-by-women-is-more-common-than-previously-known cites among other things an academic study of perpetrators.

A recent study of youth found, strikingly, that females comprise 48 percent of those who self-reported committing rape or attempted rape at age 18-19.

or

https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2016/11/the-understudied-female-sexual-predator/503492/ cites a NIH study that includes self reported perpetrators.

National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions found in a sample of 43,000 adults little difference in the sex of self-reported sexual perpetrators. Of those who affirmed that they had ‘ever forced someone to have sex with you against their will,’ 43.6 percent were female and 56.4 percent were male.”

Both those articles are really informative and shocking to people who have just been listening to the narrative. So how about we talk about the real problem. Rape by the common persons definition - nonconsensual sex.

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Then let’s look at sexual assault: 97% of offenders in Australia are male.

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

I have it. For male rape 93.3% reported only male perpetrators. Other sexual violence is indeed also from females, like coercion for example. This is not considered rape in Europe though unfortunately. Also not if you’re a woman.

https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/pdf/nisvs_report2010-a.pdf

[–]Narrow_Eggplant3867 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Don't forget MTP (made to penetrate). Even if it is not legally considered rape, let's be real, it's rape. 79% of male victims report only female perpetrators and 1 in 14 men experience it in their lifetime.

https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/intimatepartnerviolence/men-ipvsvandstalking.html

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Made to penetrate could be both. If it would be forced or with violence, it would be rape and not be a extra category. If it was due to threats like “I will leave you otherwise” or something similar, it would be coercion. It doesn’t make sense as a extra category. Now you’re mixing up the statistic. 1 in 14 doesn’t refer to the 79% only female perpetrators for “made to penetrate”. It says: “Approximately 1 in 21 men (4.8%) reported having been made to penetrate someone else in his lifetime (Table 2.2).”

[–]Narrow_Eggplant38672 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The website I linked is using more recent study from 2015. Which I've link to this response.

Now you’re mixing up the statistic. 1 in 14 doesn’t refer to the 79% only female perpetrators for “made to penetrate”.

I'm not mixing up the statistics. 1 in 14 refers to how often it occurs. 79% is how often it is a female perpetrator. (Page 7 Paragraph 2)( Page 20 Table 2)

[–]ExcusePrestigious2131 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]duhhhh 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

People with outie genetalia usually penetrate the victim. That is classified as rape. People with innie genetalia usually envelope their victim. This is not counted as rapists. If they are counted at all, the events are categorized as "made to penetrate", "forced to penetrate" or "unwanted contact. Those are forms of "other sexual violence", not "rape" or "sexual assault".

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

In reality? Yes. Statistically? Depends on the statistics.

[–]Narrow_Eggplant3867 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Also your stats are a little out of date. The link I posted is referencing a study from 2015. For male rape 87% reported only male perpetrators.

And it still proved my point was correct. The vast majority of rapists (rape of men and women) are male. Also the vast majority of sexual assault is committed by men. Simply because it is not as common for men than women. And unwanted sexual contact for men was also mainly committed by other men. None of these sources said something different.

[–]Narrow_Eggplant38672 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

By definition vast would indicate a massive gap. I don't see a massive gap.

[–]ExcusePrestigious2130 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

87% is not a big gap for you?

[–]Narrow_Eggplant38672 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't feel like going through the math, so I'll concede the point. But will point that if you look at the overall picture SV isn't just a problem for women as MSM would have everyone believe.

And also to point out (in regards to the article linked in the main post) the issue with false SV allegations is that they make true allegations more and more unbelievable the more relevant they are. If people make false allegations all it does is make it harder for people to take real allegations seriously. For that reason alone, people who make false allegations should face serious time.

[–]ExcusePrestigious213 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What is keeping women from reporting these crimes is that often they lack prove, they are not believed and they have to go through the trauma of a trial and face their rapist again. It is extremely hard to prove rape, which is why false accusations are in reality very seldom a problem. If anything, it is a problem, that most real rapes are not punished.

[+]ExcusePrestigious213 -8 points-7 points-6 points 3 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Actually that’s not true. In a European study 27% of the asked males agreed that rape is justifiable if the victim is drunk, dressed sexy or doesn’t fight back. As a woman. Who has been raped. And my rapist got away with it. When I see this I’m raging for days. How did they even get listened to? I wasn’t taken seriously I was let down and betrayed from my police officer Ealing with my case. Also Like the sentences these monsters get are so so short. And it’s always a bs charge. Never the list of crimes they actually did. Making false police report. Harassment. Usually sexual assault on their victim when the men refused them or and assault too and many times criminal damage on the victims property like smashing up his car or home when the women been refused or trying to keep control over their victims. It’s usually a last over a long period of time too. All sorts of crazy stuff happens but the police never charge them with the lot or even half the crimes they have actually committed it’s brushed under the carpet .

Also they are rarely publicly named and shamed. Which is shocking because it’s a safe assumption that these women have destroyed the man’s work or their job reputation. Andthem types of claims and accusations never go away with colleagues. They need to splashed all over the papers to help the victim and his job and colleagues to recover and be believed.

There should be a register for women like this just sane as sexual offenders register but for liars. That way you know future partners can look them up and have a bit of warning about these criminals. Lowest of the low. These type women feel empowered and get off on ruining someone’s life. Their families life. The attention all of that too. You can’t argue they have mental health or insanity and ‘need help’ because it’s step by step malicious intent all the way and from the start. They sat and thought hard about what they say and how they gonna convince the law. It’s evil. Pure evil.

I want an offender list or dangerous liars list. They shouldn’t be made out to be victim too. That article is disgusting. They should get everything they get!! without sympathy.

This article makes it seem they actively go after false report but no it’s rare and if it goes to court it rarely goes through with an actual sentence.

[–]miroku000 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To be fair, there were guidelines in place intended to discourage the prosecution of people making false allegations if they are young, or have mental illness on the basis that this makes them vulnerable. I wouldn't quibble over whether or not these women were mentally ill or not. I think most false accusers are likely mentally ill. These particular women are most likely "vulnerable" under the guidelines. The real issue is whether or not being a vulnerable woman justifies society handing you a get out of jail free card or not. I don't think merely being a "vulnerable women" should make you immune from prosecution. But the people making the guidelines for who should and shouldn't be prosecuted seemed to think otherwise.

[–]S3542U 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the issue exactly.

You have the capacity to understand what message is being conveyed, or at least what they are trying to convey, and are also able to deeply analyze this situation while considering different factors.

While most people will stop at: "Vulnerable women are being prosecuted." => Patriarchy.

This is mind boggling l. They as if they really didn't see men as human beings. Imagine reversing the situation as saying that rapists should not be criminally prosecuted if they had an abusive childhood. The penalty for the women who lied is also ridiculously small. 3.5 years for trying to put a man behind bars for life? Making him himself be raped in prison?

[–]spolio 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

False rape claims should come with the exact same punishment a perpetrator would have gotten in a conviction of said rape and it should land them on a list.

[–]trashtony69 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Would they be mad if the false rape accusers were men, and those being falsely accused were women? Probably. I’ve literally seen that happen before.

[–]Jonesw16 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Have men ever falsely accused a woman of rape before? I find it very hard to believe as men raped by women would never open up about it let alone falsely accuse a woman. I know you stated it but I've genuinely never heard as to why a man would do that as there's just no reason to.

[–]oggyb 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Quite. The viability of a false accusation relies on the probability of being taken seriously.

[–]ExMuzzy 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Crimes that are often or exclusively committed by women towards men aren’t taken seriously. In some countries women cannot rape men in the legal sense. Paternity fraud is another one that instead rewards the offender. I’d imagine if maternity fraud was a thing it would be punished.

[–]trashtony69 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. Even in most countries with “gender inclusive” legal definitions of rape, rape is still defined solely as a penetrative act which for the most part makes rape an act committed by a man. Forced to penetrate is its own seperate category that gets swept under the rug and disregarded as rape all the time.

Lesbian couple of professors accused by a gay man (they were both candidates for a job and the man didn't get hired):

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/18/magazine/title-ix-sexual-harassment-accusations.html

I think part of it is assuming accuser=victim (regardless of gender), in addition to bias against men.

[–]Parzec1 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've said it before, but the penalty for falsely accusing someone of rape should be the same as rape.

[–]OldEgalitarianMRA 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A BuzzFeed News investigation has found that UK authorities are exceptionally aggressive in pursuing women for lying about rape, prosecuting hundreds over the past decade.

That's 10's convicted per year. I wonder how many men are falsely accused when in the US the rate is 11% of men have been falsely accused of abuse.

[–]NarutoBoy87 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"All that went terribly wrong with tragic consequences when she began to lie. These lies had a terrible, corrosive effect. The effect was like ripples spreading through a pool of sadness.

"The effect continues today. Rhiannon Brooker lied and lied and lied again and was relentless in her attempts to mislead."

This is exactly what the judge said about this vulnerable woman... This article writer is a pathetic excuse of a human being..

When’s Amber heard going to get some jail time

[–]_Denzo 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This article is so bias, jeez, feminists say they want equality so where’s the equality? If you’re complaining about this you’re not a feminists

[–]HendoRules 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So they want there to be a no repercussion accusation if they are proven to have lied? That sounds to me like someone who would happily falsely accuse if you ask me

Say goodbye to any form of dating or casual fin life if that's the case, too risky

It'll quickly become "not all women" for them like we had to do for the actual cases giving all men a bad name, they didn't care so we shouldn't either

[–]Material-Ad-637 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Remember the feminists from the 60's that called for all men to be castrated or destroyed?

Yeah, it's not about choice or empowerment for many, it's about supremacy.

[–]StingRayFins 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So they want to promote liars and abuses? Says a lot about them.

[–]babno 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Side note, when dealing with sites like buzzfiend, link to an archive of the article.

  1. They often stealth edit once they receive backlash for their bigotry

  2. Don't want to direct extra traffic their way.

[–]F1r3seed 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah bc the fact that they said western countries don’t pursue false rape allegations because it’s not in public interest to do so was some bs

[–]dpv20 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

who cares if they are "vulnerable" or have mental issues, that doesnt exonerate them...

[–]ERiC_693 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The irony is easier to get away with lying means more lying meaning less trust of women who are telling truth and also a slowed down or clogged legal system. This can be avoided by making sure liars are stopped and prosecuted. But when it doesnt work feminists blame men.

The article is from 2018 and this is when the horrid CPS chief was going through her scandal of collapsing rape charges. She ultimately resigned. Even BBC gad to report on it it was so ridiculous. This article is damage control and deflection to draw attention away from the scandal in 2018.

[–]SnooPets2522 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Their reaction says a lot about them

[–]solar-garlic1776 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seems fair since in the UK ONLY MEN can rape! The very least they can do is prosecute those who make false accusations

[–]youtube_station 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The implication is terrifying- they want the falsely accused men to be in prison.

[–]NtsParadize 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What is a "vulnerable" person?

[–]ARedditorCalledQuest 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In this context it usually means someone who is a minority, impoverished, of diminished mental capacity, or are otherwise in a position to make them easier to take advantage of. Granted they don't say that in the article so for all we know "women" as a group fall under the "vulnerable" category.

I also wish that the men who are falsely accused would sue these women for these false accusations and take them and those that helped them to falsely accuse them too.

Actual headline:

Vulnerable Women Are Routinely Prosecuted – And Imprisoned – For False Rape Claims In The UK

Where did you read that feminists are mad about it?

Point is I always think that regardless of gender if you falsely accuse someone to have done something and that someone's punishment would be jail, the accuser should serve the time instead. But won't happen for the next decades I guess, I'm still shocked how so many countries do nothing about false rape accusation.

Article is 4 years old

[–]Same-Machine121 points 3 years ago [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

Does that mean that feminists now support prosecution for false rape accusations?

[–]DouglasMilnes 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminist organisations in general resist the idea of prosecuting false accusers of being raped (to say nothing of resisting the idea of women being prosecuted for anything).

I think the reasoning is clear: prosecution of false accusers will indirectly lead to a reduction in rape statistics and quite possibly even a reduction in rape. For an organisation dedicated to finding every possible reason to hate men, that is not in their interests.

[+]matrixislife -14 points-13 points-12 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Oh I really doubt that. Just that there's no point getting pissed off about something that may have been the case four years ago.

[–]Same-Machine121 points 3 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

If nothing has changed in those 4 years, we can still be pissed off.

[+]matrixislife -12 points-11 points-10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ofc you can be. Just don't think this is something new.

[–]bass_of_clubs 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

What time cutoff do you propose instead?

[–]matrixislife -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Eh?

[–]bass_of_clubs 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If there’s “no point” in raising and discussing issues that happened four years ago, then how recent does something have to be?

One year?

One month?

One day?

My point is satirical. Regarding something as being in the past and not worth getting pissed off about after just four years seems a little ridiculous to me.

[–]matrixislife -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bloody hell, please stop taking what I said out of all proportion.
There's much more recent articles to get annoyed at, imo one's that are easily more biased than this one.

Yes, you can feel free to get annoyed at this, I'm not saying you shouldn't, but wasting time on a repost seems a bit futile to me. Otherwise we'll see a flood of articles "suffragettes bomb post office" as breaking news.

[+]Fausty79 -18 points-17 points-16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, they aren’t. PEOPLE are mad about things that ANYONE should be angry about, like:

“Women were prosecuted even when they reportedly went to police only under pressure, quickly recanted, or never named their attacker at all.”

“The CPS has prosecuted women who police were not sure had lied. In one instance detectives declined to charge the woman for making a false complaint. Prosecutors went ahead anyway.”

Grow up, boys.

[–]oggyb 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Rhiannon is now a convicted criminal, virtually unemployable and forever tarred as a liar.

“They listened, they noted, they took it all down, then they just cast it aside and turned it against me,” she said.

I see this is noteworthy under some circumstances.

A BuzzFeed News investigation has found that UK authorities are exceptionally aggressive in pursuing women for lying about rape, prosecuting hundreds over the past decade.

I do not believe this for a second. Not once have I seen a single article from UK based news outlet where a woman was arrested and prosecuted for lying about rape

Edit: Before anyone chimes in with anything from the rags that are the S*n, Daily Mail, Daily Star, Mirror, Daily Express those don't count.

[–]miroku000 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Here are what I think are the two women mentioned in the BuzzFeed article:

Rhiannon Brooker:

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-bristol-28045679

Eleanor Williams:

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-cumbria-63373420

But prosecutions are quite rare.

According to https://www.rapecrisisscotland.org.uk/files/false-allegations-bp-170913-1-1.pdf

"A study produced by the Crown Prosecution
Service in England & Wales in March 2013
revealed that over a 17-month period between
January 2011 and May 2012 – when all false
allegation cases were referred to the DPP –
there were 5,651 prosecutions for rape, but
only 35 for making false allegations of rape"

According to https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/may/23/fewer-than-one-in-60-cases-lead-to-charge-in-england-and-wales

"While there were 52,210 rapes recorded by police in England and Wales in 2020, only 843 resulted in a charge or a summons – a rate of 1.6%."

If you assume that a mere 3% of rape allegations to police are false, then 0.002011108% of people making false rape allegations are prosecuted. That hardly seems like a crazy amount of prosecutions.

[–]Jumping3 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Notice that all the false accusers are women I can bet a million bucks the people against punishment for this would be all for it if it was men doing it

[–]Breast_Milk_Sucker 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course, it's Buzzfeed.

" A BuzzFeed News investigation has found that UK authorities are exceptionally aggressive in pursuing women for lying about rape, prosecuting hundreds over the past decade. "

" But BuzzFeed News today exposes how prosecutors routinely fail to follow these rules as they send vulnerable women to prison. Our investigation can reveal: "

It feels like they see "lying about being rape" as an opinion from "vulnerable women", treating it as free speech when really, those disgusting women have been using it as a fact, it's not free speech anymore.

I won't be surprise if male victims raped by women are viewed worse by Buzzfeed.

[–]eyes_beyond_the_void 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, they deserved it. It’s unfortunate, but feminists will always pick and choose when they want to be “equal.”

[–]SecondEldenLord 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not surprised honestly. They wanted to destroy men's lives without consequences and they managed to do that for ages. Now that there are consequences, of course they are furious.

[–]newhavenlao 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I guess the story of the boy that cried wolf didn't hit their mark when it came to buzzfeed retards.

Look if a bitch cries rape and her victim didn't rape her, then why should she live an easy life after? She already proved she's a menace to society. Who cares about her mental anguish, the dumb bitch made her own decisions. Like going to a sex shop after claiming rape? Who does that.

Rape is a serious crime and treated as such and yet if fakes the punishment for lying should be same if not worse than actual crime! Why? Because it's ruining a man's life for good even if it's a false allegations. Fuck off buzzfeed I hope you fail

[–]dapperxdan1984 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

to be fair the police ignored their own rule of how to conduct the investigation, don't target vulnerable people, she was abused as a child, even ones that they believe didn't lie still got prosecuted. Honestly I like a law like this but it has to be fair and uphold correctly and nod abused, I don't want unfair to one side bc it makes the movement less credible.

[–]Sintar07 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

False rape complaints can ruin lives. Even suspects who are quickly exonerated can face public scrutiny and lose their jobs and reputations. But such cases are rare: A 2012 Ministry of Justice study estimated that only 3% of rape reports were “perceived to be malicious”. In contrast, most victims don’t report a rape to the police and when they do, a successful prosecution is unlikely. Only one reported rape in 14 results in a conviction.

So... one in 14 accusations results in a conviction, but the justice department is pretty sure only 3% are false accusations? Something doesn't add up.

[–]solemnoak 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What a shame

[–]Rahbin_Banx 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just pretend all the men are black and all the women are white. That'll shut the left up. For as long as rape has existed, a black man has been wrongfully accused of it.

[–]Night_Panda95 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Stupid. False accusations should be charged. It's women like that who give others a bad name, making it hard to get help when something horrendous actually happens. Not to mention dragging feminism through mud when really it should be equality first people matter not women matter only. Because we all know that's bullshit and the world cannot survive without both.

[–]Whitey98 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good. Let them burn like the heathen gods of old

[–]bruh_bro_dude 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why I like the UK a lot more than the USA.

Women need to be scared before making false accusations. Letting them get away scot-free only bolsters their manipulation of the biased laws.

[–]buppyu 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure they are. The whole point of MeToo was the consolidation of absolute power. Women want the power to destroy any man with a word. This will allow them to effectively blackmail and extort any man they want to with the implied threat of a false accusation.

I already see this working in the workplace. Men are afraid to disagree with women out of fear that she will go to HR and have him fired with a false accusation. This means any woman automatically outranks any man in the organization... which was the point.

Feminists lobbyist have been pushing to make SA a guilty until proven innocent offense (but only when used against men). Proving you had consent is effectively impossible so, automatic conviction.
