The rise of stds. Let's be honest, people use condoms to avoid pregnancy. Imagine knowing the odds of getting your date pregnant are near 0. Would you use a condom? It's easy to think you would but I strongly believe people would be less likely to.

Doubtful. I think you are over estimating a few things 1. Men are babies and won’t want to inject a gel into any part of their penis. They dislike even injecting medication to be able to get an erection if dealing with advanced erectile dysfunction.

Men are used to women being responsible for birth control, many will expect women to conus to do so. Men who get baby trapped aren’t the men who would be getting this injection because it’s impossible to baby trap someone who isn’t careless with their own sexual reproduction. You can’t “trapped” if you insist on being responsible and wearing condoms regardless of women’s birth control claims even in a committed relationship. If you choose not to wear condoms you accept the risk.
Condom sales won’t go down because stds are still a major reason why people use condoms not just to prevent pregnancy.
Men are already willing to have sex with women (in regards to your point 9) it’s women who aren’t wanting casual sex lol.

Most children born out of wedlock belong to low income or young parents. Male birth control would probably limit this a little bit, but I doubt it will be as accessible as a condom or female birth control.

I don’t think much will change tbh. Men have had birth control options (condoms, vasectomies) for years and haven’t chosen to reliably use them. Yes I understand they have some serious drawbacks, but so do female contraceptions and yet women spend much more time considering, choosing, and maintaining contraceptive options because the burden of pregnancy, childbirth, and child rearing falls primarily on us.

I doubt much will happen beyond the effects when any new birth control is on the market. You forget that there are already forms of birth control men have complete control over, but men often don't want to use them. Another birth control method should mean a drop in accidental pregnancies, but they certainly won't end, as people who don't want to conceive often don't use birth control, use it incorrectly or just get unlucky (although we don't know Vasalgel's failure rate yet so I can only assume it isn't zero). Women have never been in complete control of when they have children, so I don't know why you think men can suddenly be. (With that being said, I'm excited for this and may well use it. I just don't expect any big social consequences to come of it as an alternative to things we already have.)

In the past there has been talk of potential anticonceptives for men and woman didn't like the idea.

They don't want to trust the man to do it right so except for in relationships where they pretty much go to the doctor together they won't trust it.

I also expect the usual feminist 'journalists' to fume strongly over this because it transfers some power to men. Using and controlling the pill has until now been something that creates female empowerment. They decide what male will procreate and what male won't.

And they can decide to financially bind a man to them or at least their offspring by 'accidentally' getting pregnant. And before people say it doesn't happen, I've seen a colleague and family member get trapped like this. It is a tactic that is used by shitty people.

This procedure somewhat undoes that advantage. It will create a more equal world so I'm in favour of it. But I expect it has to take a lot of hurdles and hostility before it will become a thing. The pill was strongly opposed by social conservatives of the time (religious folk) because it would change the power balance of the sexes. This will once again shift the power balance so the current social conservatives (feminist supremacists) will oppose it.

It'll likely lower the rate of unplanned pregnancies somewhat and women who have bad reactions to birth control will stop taking it because their partners can get Vasalgel. I don't think it'll have any major effect otherwise, though.

I do think you're seriously underestimating male resistance to the procedure, but I also think the people claiming some vast majority of men will never do it are overestimating pretty wildly. Resistance will likely fall over time regardless, possibly by a lot, assuming it works as advertised.

The conversation is cool and all except that this product is nowhere close to being reality. It's not available anywhere nor has it received or is close to receiving approval from any country. The handful studies show promising results but it's far from 100% reversible or safe. Best case scenario this is available in a decade but it is possible this never makes it to market.
