Lie that you have a decent job and your income. You could pretend to be a doctor or nurse to sleep with women who want a financially stable and secure guy who can afford to pay for a family without it leading to homelessness. So the lady looking for a financially stable professional who has his life together and won’t bring their children to a life of poverty and hunger would sleep with you under the premise that you have a decent job.

Alright PPD ladies, for the record, here is me calling out this patently untrue post. Unfortunately, there do exist men that prey on and manipulate women. I do not think they are large in number at all, but they do indeed exist. To say women cannot be manipulated into sex is akin to saying people cannot be manipulated at all.

Let's define some terms here first.

Persuade- convincing through reason

Influence- effecting behavior

Coercion - this involves force or threats

Manipulation -this is influence with means that are clever, unscrupulous, or unfair

That said, in any agreement it is up to both parties to do their own reasonable due diligence before conveying and agreeing to explicit terms. If the terms are implicit, then they must be supported in current fact, or basically maintaining status quo.

Have women been manipulated....yes , have some relied on implicit terms that aren't supported in fact or failed their due diligence, yes. Is a lot of this problem miscommunication or misunderstanding, absolutely.

Did he lie? Was it reasonable to believe him? If so that's manipulation.

Did she expect something that was not explicitly on the table, or already practiced in fact? That's a failure on her part.

Yeah this simply isn’t true and stinks of someone who has no idea how emotions actually work, or is simply lying to themselves to try to excuse any potential bad behavior. People get manipulated all the time. I myself (a man) have social anxiety and issues with confrontation and have been convinced to do things I really didn’t want to do, things that made me feel uncomfortable, just because i didn’t want to seem like an asshole and say “No” to someones face.

I heavily disagree with this statement in general, but the argument completely falls apart when you bring the concept of grooming into the equation.

14 to 16 year old girls literally cannot comprehend the impact and ethical concerns of having sex with a 30+ year old. Groomers use the underdeveloped brain functionality of teenagers/children against them, using colorful words of affirmation and attention giving to manipulate the child into thinking that this is good for them and that they want this. There is no other way to define thus outside of the psychological definition of manipulation.

Outside of the grooming situation, there is obvious issue of men or women promising another adult that they want a LTR only to pump and dump and then ghost, or even worse, drag them along for years.

People can be manipulated into all sorts of things. Short of signing a contract that stipulates that X, Y, Z will happen upon the two parties engaging in whatever, there's no foolproof way to ensure you don't get scammed. And even then, the person can just bail and go to another state/another country/fall off the radar and still scam you if that's what they intended to do from the start. By your logic, nobody has ever been manipulated into anything because, technically, nothing can really force people into following through with anything if they don't want to.

Now think why that is? Could it have something to do with a certain red pill belief that every time a woman sleeps with a man, her value diminishes and therefore she has only a limited number of such transactions she can make? In essence, if the transaction was not to her liking, she can claim she was manipulated and therefore she gets a freebie.

Now imagine if we stopped judging women for doing whatever they wanted with their vaginas and just minded our own business? Then they would not feel any need to blame the man for anything, other than being a bad lay.
