My argument is that it's almost impossible to be 100% "average" and gain popularity/a big social media following.

You have to be above-average in SOMETHING - looks, creativity, charisma, work ethic, intelligence, etc to be able to have any influence over people.

(Even people you see on social media who look "dumb" usually are pretty smart and know how to leverage drama to make money.)

It should be common knowledge that the more oppertunity you get to socialize with the opposite sex, the higher % of getting dates.

While you're correct that women go for social status and having lots of social media followers and presence will attract them, social media is so fucking FAKE and GAY. I think a lot of the attention-seeking men online are literal homosexuals and gay pedo boy-butthole rapists like Jerry Sandusky. I can't take all that fake shit. My girlfriend's brother is maybe 5'8 with a hairline that's about 30 years ahead of his age. He's also a wildly popular guy because he's always been a charismatic extrovert. He married an 8.

But it's worth remembering that his charisma and extraversion is almost just as heritable as his hairline. So is his ambition.

OP you've overvalued social media presence. It gives you a small bump, but not a huge advantage. The real popularity bump comes from your physical circle of friends IRL. That's the network having the most importance, and giving you the largest boost.
