It's interesting to bounce back between the r/Divorce to r/Divorce_Men - over on r/Divorce, it's mostly women egged on by other women to "dump the scum". Over here, it's much different - just general sadness or red pill bravery.

My marriage dissolved slowly, then quickly. I cheated, then tried to reconcile, and she scorched-earth me. She's alienated me from my kids, family, friends - you know the drill. Drama at every turn.

I know I'll make it through - I'm in a better place than many, with a good support system, people that care about me, and a great career. But the hardest thing - honestly - is going along your day-to-day life while you are just imploding inside. It's crazy.

I was in a Zoom meeting today, and I totally zoned out thinking about how my wife poisoned my kids against me, and finally came back to consciousness when I realized they were asking me a question. That happens ALL THE TIME. It's like your body is going through the motions, but your soul is just crushed. And you realize you're going to go through the rest of your life on your own - even if you meet someone else, it will never be the same.

Random thoughts here, but for those of you on the fence about getting a divorce, make sure there's no going back before you file. It's fucking brutal.
