I don’t know if that amount is a minority or a majority, but i noticed a loud/large enough group of women actively excuse other women encouraging shady/shitty behavior online while fully criticizing men for it (and rightfully so, mind you - lots of dating advice directed at men is god awful, but that’s not the point of the post)

I’ve noticed that every time some poor dating advice directed at women, or when a woman encourages shitty behavior, treating a man poorly, taking advantage of a man financially or perpetuating toxic masculinity themselves its always brushed off - whether it be “she’s young and dumb”, “it’s just a joke”, “such a small minority believe this its not even an issue” - there does seem to be a form of constant dismissal when a woman is involved in something shady, hateful or ironically, misogynistic when its at the detriment of men. It is also worth noting that men do tend to overreact to mundane stuff women do as well, so could that breed a natural defensiveness? still, i’d hope people would be able to tell the difference between some dudes overacting vs genuinely shady stuff.

Of course, many men do also dismiss or outright loudly agree with the bs directed at men (ie. all the pills), but i’ve also noticed that more men are willing to call this stuff out than women are willing to call their own out. Why is that?
