There's this trend on social media making the rounds where guys are refusing to spend money on women during the dating phase - under the auspices of they're "saving that for marriage". 🙄

They're calling it being financially celibate and its both petty and abusive.

Petty because it's just money for a date - get over yourself. If you're broke just say that.

Unfair because women already have to spend so much time and money on beauty products. Making us pay for half the date is wild (not to mention the gender pay gap)
