Yes I avoid getting too close to those people. If it’s a family member or some mutual friend that I can’t avoid, I just avoid those conversations and focus on more cordial ones.

Yes, i can't imagine being friends or in relationship with someone who doesn't see things how they are for me and half of humanity.

For casual it doesn't matter that much, it matters that he wouldn't be aggressive or too defensive. Like if we can have cortical conversation without that brought up, and without him trying to settle scores with all women on my example, i'm fine.

Yes. I avoid these people in real life because a lack of empathy can turn into violence. I debate the topics online because it doesnt have an immediate effect on my safety. I will get verbally violated online but that just comes with the topic.

I've been friends with men who are sexist. Not close friends though and our friendship was based on something different like board games. I couldn't have a partner like that and I doubt they'd want to date me anyway.

The ability to care about socioeconomic reality for 50% of the population is important, yes.

I don't need a man to be an active feminist, but he should be aware of concepts like: casual sex in the states is now rarer, because of abortion bans. If he is incapable of basic logic in relation to women, he's too stupid or delusional to be friends with.

Yeah, I don’t need a guy to be a feminist, but he should at least be somewhat supportive and pro-choice. I try to avoid misogynists and pro-lifers, but it isn’t always possible because I work with all kinds of people.

For example if a guy gets defensive and passive agressive when you bring up the chore gap and says he doesn't belive that's true and it's just online propaganda. Isn't this in the category of an incompatibility? Don't you seek partners and male friends who are not like that?

I think I never mentioned the chore gap to a man, because I wouldn't settle for a man whose behavior makes the chore gap a reality in my life.

To some extent yes, but what actually matters is whether or not this person is a part of the problem or a part of the solution, and that's expressed through actions not words. Performative empathy and virtue signaling have absolutely no value to me and earn no brownie points.

It depends a bit, I'd avoid men who are rude or disrespectful about it but I don't really mind men who just don't really care since I think it matters more how I'm treated as an individual

Yes, although the crux of this is the fact that neither men nor women can seem to acknowledge the others' issues and grievances without instantly retorting with whataboutism.

"Yeah, abortion bans vs. bodily autonomy but what about our bodily autonomy with respect to the draft???"

"Yeah, men are lonelier than ever in history and killing themselves en masse but what about us women being harassed???"

Both of these people are insufferable. There's a time and a place for arguing your own woes, but it's not in a thread about the other group's woes. If you want to debate the actual claim they're making, go for it. If you want to just bring another claim that has no effect on their claim to show that "our side has it worse", bugger off.

When men complain about lack of empathy, women often reply with saying that men have no empathy for women's side either.

Like, this isn't an attempt to argue that there isn't a lack of empathy, it's literally just "yeah, well you deserve it because XYZ blah blah blah". It goes absolutely nowhere for either person.
