I apologize beforehand if this has already been brought up (and whether the flair is right) but here goes: as obvious as this may sound to some people, I personally never thought about this before joining FDS and can now see how all the books my ex started reading a couple years ago completely fucked with his mind and our relationship - the so-called "self-actualization" and road-to-success mentality these men experience often go hand in hand with mysoginism and many toxic views that harm the women/people they surround themselves with.

So I feel it's a productive exercise to just call out all these authors/books and maybe, when first meeting/start talking with any man, one of the first things we could do as a vetting step is to ask them what type of literature they're into. I feel like it's an overlooked step (especially to those people who don't usually read) but worst than not having reading habits at all (which seems to be a well-known traditional characteristic of LVM/NVM) is having poor guidance from the likes of Jordan Peterson and people don't talk about it enough.
