I am... appalled.

I just realized the other day, I have washed dishes maybe twice a month since my boyfriend moved in. I bake and that usually makes x2 so I try to clean up after myself so we can make food and stuff later.

My Bf takes care of it all the time. When I try to clean stuff just cuz I’m bored and it’s something to do, he’s like “what are you doing? Do you need that cleaned?”

When I told my friend this, she was like “oh you have him trained” Nope. I’m dating a fucking adult

I could not imagine moving in and immediately deciding to deep clean it?! I barely deep cleaned my own place let alone some fucking dude’s!

LMAO. Flashback to when I made poor life choices and had a 40 year old FWB. He once proudly announced to me as I stepped into his apartment that he'd shampooed the carpets. I think he really must have thought that'd send me swooning. They know, ladies. They know how low the bar is. They know how fucking gross men are and that it'd take only the bare minimum for them to stand out. If they're not willing to do that bare minimum then they straight up just don't care.

(Based on tenancy rules where I am from:) When you move into a new rental, it's expected that the carpets are professionally done as is the pest control and the place is clean to move in. If it is not done or clean to standard, you can request the real estate to rectify it at the owners expense. Therefore, the work should be done BEFORE you move in with a man at his expense.

Why is she cleaning his apartment? Does he live that dirty that it bothers her? Then they have different standards of cleanliness and will be incompatible based off that.

She'll complain he isn't cleaning enough, and he'll complain she's picky or nagging. It will just get worse. It's sad she thinks this is something to be proud of. If he wanted it to be that clean, he would make it that clean. In fact, he should WANT to make it cleaner if she's coming over-but clearly he doesn't care and just lets her do it. I remember thinking that this was just being 'caring', but in reality it just shows he doesn't care.

I'm ashamed to say that I also cleaned my ex's apartment multiple times when I first moved in. I also completely packed up my old place and moved in to his place alone (I hired movers, but he was not involved at all). I ended up not living there after two weeks. I finally trusted my gut. It was an expensive mistake, but my dignity is worth more.

I remember having this “friend” who would clean up her FWB’s studio appartment so she would earn points and he would ask her to have a relationship.

He hates women and takes every second to bash them. But she still wanted to be his girlfriend soooo bad that she did shit like that. One time while cleaning she found a used thong and other clothing items from his previous FWB’s lmaooo.

She won in the end though! Cleaning the appartment and her having money earned her the girlfriens title. She got abused while at it but hey, she’s the girlfriend now and they’re expecting a baby.
