My wife wants a separation, and it’s her decision based on her feelings of not wanting to put any more effort. She doesn’t have any heart left to try and work on things that we’ve had issues with. I expressed that I still have heart left to try but she is pretty much done. She doesn’t want the married life anymore, wants to go out and do whatever with whoever. We have a home we’ve lived in for 7 years, married almost 14 years and been together for 22 years since high school. No kids, just 3 dogs. I work from home and take care of the dogs at least 90% of the time. She wants me to be the one to move out and find a place to stay until the divorce is finalized. I believe we have to do legal separation for 6 months in our state (CO) before divorce. I don’t think I deserve to be coerced or asked to leave since I pose no physical or mental harm. My plan was to stay in the home, avoid all contact as much as possible and just push through this until we can come to an agreement legally for what happens to the house. She doesn’t think she can do that and is pressuring me to be the one to leave. Need some advice please.
