I didn't know better back then. Had not dated in over 10 years. Long term marriage before that... really dumb... lol

I see what you mean however I have to politely disagree. The two words are not mutually exclusive. Your man can find you sexy, hot and also cute.
There’s a time and a place for the words to be used. Like say I’m in bed and we’re about to have sex then no I wouldn’t like to be called cute but if I’m playing with a child or insert some other cute activity then that is cute and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Also I call my man cute sometimes. If he’s all cuddly on the bed or says something cheesy I’d be like aw you’re so cute rather than aw you’re so hot.
I don’t think people should be so rigid with words like that. Context is everything.

I flashbacked to when i was supposed to go see a guy i had been talking to online for a few months. He told me he was afraid that I was going to be too fat for him. (1. Who says that?. 2. I had a guy friend tell me oh hey. He was just being honest and vulnerable. Don't take it personally.)
We finally met up. I was staying with him for a week because he lived so far away. He said that I was much less fat than he expected, which was a relief. All the shit I didn't say. He was shorter than he claimed. He had an insane kink. He had told me he wondered if he had made a mistake in choosing to date me because he had "other options". He made us go dutch. Idefk.. So many red flags. I wanted to leave that first night. I absolutely could have.
He was 22 and this was my first "real" but not at all real relationship. There was slight chemistry eventually but it was fleeting at best. We never got past kissing. He said he wanted sex and oral but refused to do the same for me so I never did it. After our break up he complained to me that he had tried to lose his virginity but he couldn't keep it up due to performance anxiety and n he blamed me for not letting him practice on me.

Good. I can't tell you how many moments like this I've had before I even knew about FDS. So many times where men said wildly inappropriate things to me and I just noped out. Point blank left physically or metaphorically. I see three possible explanations for men saying stuff like that.
He was negging you. Then he's a manipulative and possibly abusive asshat. Not husband material.
He's 15 and doesn't know how to talk to people he likes yet. Not husband material.
He's got autism. Rough for him because he can't figure out what he did wrong just based on the fact that you left, but it definitely ain't your obligation to help him get better at communicating, nor is it your obligation to give him the "benefit of doubt".
In all three paths of "Why the fuck would he do that?", it's good that you left or at least justified, so in case there is some sort of push back against you when you tell others this story, don't let them gaslight you into "taking his perspective" or "giving him another chance".

I usually notice by the reactions around me and apologize and explain myself, but sometimes I don't.
