Honestly, though. I've met a guy who was mad that I didn't find him attractive, because I am just not into a certain type of males. But he was refusing to date a chubby woman, because he couldn't see himself having an erection when having sex with someone who is chubby. I have been attacked like this more times than I can count. I do OLD'g and my profile stated that a man should "have a job". I'm not interested in taking care of anyone else! Some asshole matched with me just so he could call me a gold digger. I verbally and linguistically dominated his asshole attitide and he blocked me. Some men just hate, period. So much yes. I have dated too many ugly losers because they made me laugh, and I thought that I couldn't get better than that. The last guy I dated almost 2 years ago, is so fug, and his head comes to a point. (I have been working on healing a lot of daddy issues, and wasn't at that time). Dude mostly followed porn art on Instagram, and figured he deserved to be with the hottest females. I could barely get him away from the internet. The relationSHIT only lasted 4 months before he cheated on me, then dramatically broke up with me at a friend's wedding stating, there was no spark. I was like, oh for real? Peace!! He then proceeded to send me emails, texts, letters and cheap ass flowers, begging to get me back. Really fucked me up. I never once gave in. Now, his memory is just a fart in the wind.

This is why it’s extremely beneficial in a sense, to have or be an unattractive women, and it’s even better to grow into your looks, to truly catch the hypocrisy of men. Reminds me of the movie Shallow Hal with Jack Black. Hal and his friend (George from Seinfeld) are clearly unattractive but their standards are so fucking high and that’s the joke of the movie. Even Hal’s coworkers even say to him “Hal, you’re not good looking.” The worst part is, men like that actually exist! They are fat, genetically ugly in the face and are short and think they deserve some Victoria Secret model.

Very interesting. I don't think there's anything wrong with personal preferences, physical or otherwise, in dating, as long as:

You're not rude to people solely because they're not attractive to you (treat people like human beings even if you don't want to date them.)
You don't try to make it seem like your preference is universal and/or that anyone who doesn't share your preference is lying about it or a freak, e.g. when guys say that all men would prefer to date younger women or that women who are into short men are only "virtue signaling."
You're not a hypocrite about it and accept that others can have their preferences too. This one, your guy friend totally failed on!
I also think it's important not to "settle" on someone whom you don't find attractive, because even if you try not to show how you feel, most likely it'll end up making them feel like shit. Do them a favor and let them find someone who's genuinely attracted to them - "settling" and "giving everyone a chance" wastes everyone's time! So I definitely agree with your philosophy over his.

For me, it isn’t about whether or not a guy is shorter than me. It’s about whether or not he cares because I don’t want that insecurity projected on to me. If he doesn’t care about height, why should I? Same goes for jobs. I’m working on my doctorate and guys get so insecure that they won’t make more money than me once I graduate or that they work a blue collar job. I broke up with one guy because I told him several times that he didn’t listen to what I would say. He harassed me afterwards because he was convinced I really broke up with him because he didn’t have a “good” job. One of the voicemails he left said “I don’t know if you want to hear this but I’m going to tell you anyway. I got a job with a retirement and 401k.”

I'm 5ft 0. I consistently get men over 6ft interested in me (short girls seems to be really attractive to tall guys) and to be blunt ex's have been well endowed (one was far too big) and not chubby ( except my last ex but i was still madly attracted)... so i don't think my standards are too high..

You're not shallow for having physical preferences. Guys think women think like them and value physical attractiveness as much as they do. This is why they think women want "Chads." To men, physical attractiveness is the first thing and is a strong barrier to getting together. But most of us have met a guy that wasnt exactly our type, and we ended up liking him anyway. This doesn't often happen with men.

We are more flexible than men with regard to attractiveness and age. (Beauty and youth.)

We are more concerned with his job and height/largeness. (Provide and protect.)

This is the currency the sexes trade in.

Idk it’s been my experience that the shorter men I meet that are worth dating feel like they have something to prove in bed, but I also don’t care much about height anyway because I’m kind of tall and don’t mind being taller.

Balding and thinning hair bother me, but not as much as spending money on trying to fix it while in debt.

Mostly I’m attracted to ambition and someone who treats me equally, which I have.

Go for the standards you want and never back down and don’t judge other women if they have different standards than you (OP is not) and go out there and live your best dating life.
