The amount of guys in their 20's and 30's that already have erectile dysfunction because of their porn addiction is way too high. I definitely think society is starting to wake up to some of the dangers of porn, with countries like Germany banning major porn sites. I really hope this trend continues.

As a young girl, I was exposed to hardcore porn on the internet probably at the age of 11. It definitely contributed to my body/self-image issues and shaped my view of sex. I fell into the trap of liberal feminism sex positivity and BDSM culture in my 20's, only to realize that I got nothing out of it--except getting used and taken advantage of by selfish men. I'm glad FDS is here to offer a different perspective to young women.

As for me, I'm not willing to marry a porn addict. If that means I die single and childless, so be it. But it doesn't bode well for society that I literally cannot find any man not influenced by porn.

I think we will see marriage rates fall as women struggle to find men who are husband material. There will be a lot more sad, resentful single men who live alone in filthy apartments and in their mom's basements. The bar for men has already been lowered underground, and I think a lot of women have woken up to that.

The question is how many women will choose to accept lower standards vs. how many remain single?

The surge in popularity of FDS is an indication that women are sick of low value males. We are sick of scrotes in their 20's and 30's who can't get hard and are terrible in bed. We are sick of being treated like human sex dolls and sick of being expected to treat our boyfriends like they're helpless babies.

At the same time, we live in a patriarchy and there will always be pick-me's ready to make excuses for scrotes and coddle them.

I think the influx of sad unemployed single scrotes will ultimately end up being a burden on their parents. They might find desperate women who will pay their way for a while, but even the most desperate pick-me will break after so many years of supporting a loser male. Possibly a large increase of males living with parents into their 30's and 40's. I also expect to see more and more males on dating apps, since that's the lowest effort way for them to get access to women.

Hopefully these losers just stay in their squalid hovels, addicted to porn and gaming, swiping endlessly into the void on tinder. The only way to protect ourselves from these scrotes will be to ruthlessly vet all men. Males have so many issues these days and most are so useless and low value they end up being a liability to women.

I do worry about my younger sisters and the future sometimes. This is why FDS is so important tho, if women can collectively raise the bar for men by denying them access to us if they don't measure up, then we can make a positive change.

I dunno, OP. I try to stay positive but if I think about all this stuff too hard it starts to scramble my brain!!

Every other comment here is spot on. There are so many factors contributing to the huge percentage of men who are (or at least should be) undateable:

Porn use that normalizes violent and degrading sex. In addition to the violence it normalizes, it conspires with other media to push an incredibly toxic beauty standard for women. If you look at the most beautiful women of the 70s and 80s, many of them would be considered average now. Men don’t seem to value women who aren’t attractive at all - if we aren’t fuckable then there’s no point in talking to us, that’s the vibe I get (I’ve been at various different weights in my life and it’s insane how at higher weights men will literally ignore you, they’ll hit on your friends and seem annoyed that you’re even there, whereas at lower weights I get a ton of attention and men seem very friendly lol).
Men aren’t seeking higher education or viable career paths at the same rate as women. Many of them won’t be able to find careers to sustain themselves, let alone a family.
Despite the idea that men are getting better at doing domestic and mental labor, in my experience, they aren’t. Men are socialized that it’s acceptable to be completely useless. They don’t clean and when they do, they’re terrible at it; they can’t cook, so if they are single they tend to eat takeaways or eat the strangest diets of like the 3 items they know how to make; they don’t do comparison shopping so when they buy an item half the time it’s the wrong thing or the quality is terrible because they didn’t read the specifications. I’ve had many male roommates and have lived with male partners, both gay and straight, and compared to the female roommates I’ve had, most of them were completely useless and didn’t know how to do anything.

So with all these competing factors, men who can’t cook, clean, provide financially, provide emotionally (because they tend to view you as a malfunctioning appliance when you ask for emotional support), Christ they can’t even fuck you right, at some point more and more women are going to raise their standards and many of us will end up single because we will realize it’s preferable to being in a relationship with an average man. As woman who is very much interested in sex and relationships with men, I wish this wasn’t the case and can only hope that men will feel pushed to better themselves, but I’m also not willing to feel dehumanized by a man just for sexual or romantic attention.

Nobody is protecting children from this. By the time they’re adults it’s already too late. It ruins their social and sexual development and sets the entire human race up for failure.

Yes I’m mad at pornsick men, but I’m also angry that no one stopped children from accessing what’s essentially a pocket casino filled with the most tantalizing images anyone could imagine—let alone a child. By the time those children grow up, they are addicted. It’s like trying to get someone who’s smoked since they were 10 to give it up.

Children should not access porn but also children should not have smartphones. That’s why so many Silicon Valley moguls send their children to Luddite schools where they don’t even use computers. Everything is analog and handwritten. Why? Because they know the horrors they’ve wrought and they don’t want their children to be ruined by it.

Why the hell is porn so violent and extream these days? Hetero sexual porn is practically woman t0rture. At least in the 70s and 80s men were looking and play boy magazines and thought it was the sexiest thing ever. Now to get of they need to see a woman in severe pain. It is sickening. Mostly in the west i believe it'll just lead to higher depression and suicide rates in men later in life.

I'm optimistic in (maybe foolishly) believing that we will get a better handle on sex trafficking within the next ten years. But if I'm wrong about that (probably am) then it'll mean more sex trafficking, more pockets of violence, and more scote-justified pedophilia (like lowering the age of consent to 16).

I recently got out of a relationship with a porn & sex addict. This is a bit tangental to your post, but I feel like it could be helpful to share. That relationship was so abusive and traumatic that I’ve been nothing short of obsessed with understanding how this starts and how to identify it in new dating partners so I can avoid it like the plague. From what I’ve read, there is a strong connection between something called “mother enmeshment” or “covert emotional incest” and porn/sex addiction - up to 40% of men who are considered to be mother enmeshed go on to develop this form of compulsive behavior. Check out the book Silently Seduced by Kenneth Adams, it’s very informative.

The neurobiological consequences of porn consumption are literally terrifying. Although this article isn’t from a very high impact-factor journal, in the realm of sexual research it’s sufficiently reputable and this particular article offers a helpful, comprehensive review too:
