Next study should be about how many men takes steps to become sexually attractive

[–]ShegoGreenFDS Newbie 59 points60 points61 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Study results: inconclusive- sample size not large enough

[–]throwawayastrogirlFDS Newbie 185 points186 points187 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Oh no.

So, anyway..

[–]lansburysodaFDS Newbie 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I laughed aloud

[–]IronsculptureFDS Newbie 155 points156 points157 points 4 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I call bullshit on that. If that was true then men wouldn't go out of their way to look disgusting, they'd put effort into looking beautiful like women do.

[–]ashcantcatchabreakFDS Newbie 37 points38 points39 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly if it were important to them they would actually spend some amount of time and effort on it

[–]BananaSlugGhostFDS Newbie 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They feel entitled to be desired, whether it’s earned or not

[–]apple_coresFDS Newbie 107 points108 points109 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Every man I dated alway knew I desired them. I did things for them, bought them things, had sex alll the time with them, complimented their accomplishments/looks/sex skills/told them I desired them. And I was genuine, I cared for them. Most of those men still had wandering eyes, cheated, or broke up with me lol.

This is actually a pretty simple: if your wife or gf isn’t doing a thing to boost your ego, it’s one or all of these: she’s fed up of having to cook, clean, take care of the kids all day and she’s exhausted; she’s resentful that you don’t help out; you’re lazy; you don’t romance her; you’ve let yourself go from drinking too much beer and being generally unhealthy; you’re being irresponsible with money, time, your family; or lastly she doesn’t like you and/or isn’t attracted to you.

If you look at the comments in that thread, there a hot topic about their wives or gfs buying them flowers. Most men said they don’t even like or care about flowers but they love that she does that 😵‍💫

This study does not change biology in any way. Men think throwing these kinds of study at women will change thousands of years of female sexuality.

[–]luvmyvulvaxoxoFDS Apprentice 235 points236 points237 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I saw that on the front page and rolled my eyes because of course men want to be desired. We ALL do.

But you can’t expect women to go crazy over you if you don’t take care of yourself, stay hygienic and treat your gf like a mother/maid.

Edit : they need to do a study on why women aren’t attracted to their partners.

[–]Some-Air9442FDS Newbie 76 points77 points78 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Men need to stop being so ugly.

[–]Some-Air9442FDS Newbie 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And it’s by choice for almost all of them. Ugliness is a character flaw.

[–]Japanese_LasagnaFDS Newbie 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh they are...sort of. They’re running studies on why women suffer from low arousal or issues with getting aroused and acting like a pill for hormones is the answer 🙄

[–]pickmieshaexorcistFDS Disciple 292 points293 points294 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

IME when men say they want to “feel sexually desired” by a woman, what they mean is: she acts like my own personal porn star, looks/dresses how I want her to, does all the dirty things I want with no regard to her own desires/pleasures, is up for it whenever I want.

The real mindfuck is (as some of us know) when you get with a guy who whines that you don’t “desire” him, yet he still gets turned off or salty if you initiate. 🤡

[–]UnevenHandedFDS Newbie 130 points131 points132 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. Nobody wants to acknowledge that it's women who are expected to DO things FOR men to "feel desired", at this point. It's such a fucking cop out, and puts the onus of a man's feelings on the woman. I'm no longer even surprised that the research itself is so deeply misogynistic.

Yet another coercive tactic to push a woman's sexual boundaries. If she doesn't want to do it, say she's not making you FEEL desired.

[–]ashcantcatchabreakFDS Newbie 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My NVM ex was exactly like that - he didn’t want me to initiate but got mad if I wasn’t game for some b ondage sex like chok ing or hi tting… it was a nightmare scenario

[–]queenofswordsxxxFDS Newbie 147 points148 points149 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Erm women want to be sexually desired too!

And that means you don’t cheat, you don’t have wandering eyes, it means you pay ALL the bills, it means you perform emotional labour etc.

But I guess they never really cared about what it meant FOR US to feel sexually desired.

[–]Phoenix__Rising2018Ruthless Strategist 361 points362 points363 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Where are all the studies talking about how detrimental it is to women to be badgered to death by their male partners for sex? All the studies decrying the massive rape problem men have? Do we even care about all the women being raped by their male partners?

[–]frostedgemstoneFDS Newbie 29 points30 points31 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This is legitimately making me wonder if i*cels are becoming scientists

[–]Japanese_LasagnaFDS Newbie 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They surely are. Many of them are in the tech industry, so why wouldn’t they be scientists too?

[–]theredwolf07FDS Newbie 44 points45 points46 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Have they tried being desirable?

[–]PraximarosFDS Newbie 213 points214 points215 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Who’s “We?” We know that men as a whole are selfish and want everything all of the time, so why is it surprising that men complain about not being desired enough too? Watch scrotes use this as proof that men don’t get enough affection and try to shame women into being more sexually forward. Never mind that men are not conditioned into being truly desirable by women. They are conditioned into acquiring women by traits and behaviors that are attractive to other men. Also the fact that a lot of men are simply not receptive to women’s desire. If desiring a man is likely to reward you with contempt (Madonna-whore complex), suspicion (“gold-digger”), or simply nothing at all (porn addict), why would anyone bother?

[–]pickmieshaexorcistFDS Disciple 109 points110 points111 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

reward you with contempt

Ha I’m not the only 🤡 who once upon a time tried to “spice things up” only to be judged and asked stupid questions “where did you learn THAT?” And this was for non-kinky, bog-standard, mildest-salsa spice here.

I don’t do spice anymore. Nothing performative or porn-flavored whatsoever. It’s vanilla where my orgasm is prioritized, he has fun too and we both feel satisfied and close after.

[–]Emergency-Feed8216FDS Apprentice 92 points93 points94 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At $12 per fluid ounce, pure vanilla is far better than most dudes deserve.

[–]1Here4BachFDS STRATEGY COACH 92 points93 points94 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That AND I have never meet a woman who didn’t desire her man in the beginning then somewhere along the line he does something obnoxious to become undesirable.

This is a winning comment

[–]DontAskTwice-A-RoniFDS Newbie 205 points206 points207 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

So then where are all of the articles giving men advice about improving their appearances for women? Where are all the articles telling men to get in the gym, trim off all of his body hair, wear nicer/better-fitting clothes, take care of his skin, practice better hygiene, and actually make sex fun and exciting for his partner???

Because we have plenty of those aimed at women. Society constantly encourages women to “switch it up,” and “spice things up,” and stay in the gym because it’s perfectly reasonable for a man to be unattracted to fat women. But women are also shamed all over the internet for wanting a man that they’re attracted to.

You aren’t allowed to be attracted to tall men. You aren’t allowed to be attracted to fit men. You aren’t allowed to be attracted to hot, sexy men with big dicks and a full head of hair… but they’re allowed to call you unattractive for literally anything. Oh, but you BETTER be attracted to beer belly Bob even though he does fuck all for his personal grooming and appearance.

[–]__kamikaze__FDS Newbie 76 points77 points78 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

This comment tho. THANK YOU!

The hypocrisy is real, they expect to be desired without putting any effort into it.

Meanwhile they want a 10/10 woman, and god forbid she has one hair out of place because then she’s a sloppy b itch who needs to work on herself and doesn’t deserve the “privilege” of having a man.

[–]fab_pofuFDS Newbie 32 points33 points34 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly what I’m thinking! If it’s sooo important for them to feel desirable, why aren’t they out here putting in even the slightest effort to make themselves desirable???

[–]ItsFreezenFDS Newbie 45 points46 points47 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Study Suggests " Sure Jan.

[–]I_know_right_AS_IFFDS Newbie 43 points44 points45 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men complain when we don't initiate sex...it's like bro, you're so horny all the time you don't give me a chance to initiate! You're always asking and don't give me space to even think about initiating.

[–]aquietswordFDS Newbie 35 points36 points37 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, we're doing them a favor by only dating hvm that we actually desire. But they still hate fds because the REAL study would show men want to be desired while being objectively undesirable.

[–]FlockAroundtheClockFDS Newbie 107 points108 points109 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My initial response was, "aw, that's kind of sad."

But then, why are women the ones who are badgered to death to remain "youthful," "fuckable" and pleasing to the male gaze? If men want to be desired, where is the effort? Showing up with a penis isn't enough.

[–]OrangeyPandaFDS Apprentice 109 points110 points111 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This study was based on a reddit 'Askmen' thread btw. So they're literally taking a study based on basement dwelling misogynistic LVM and then throwing it in the science subreddit for pity points.

[–]1Here4BachFDS STRATEGY COACH 42 points43 points44 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would love for them to do the same study but have their subjects be HVM in high power jobs and married. The responses would be drastically different.

[–]ilike2snapFDS Newbie 31 points32 points33 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t buy it. If men actually wanted to be desired, they might try to… be desirable.

[–]avokatzeFDS Newbie 29 points30 points31 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They still won't shower though.

[–]sassyheatherPickmeisha™️ 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Study suggests that this woman 🙋🏻‍♀️ sexually desires her partner because he is sexually desirable and never forgets to keep winning and impressing her. 👏🏻

[–]bombas-Pickmeisha™️ 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wait, I think that’s a good thing? If you don’t care whether your partner desires you or not that’s a rapist mentality.

Men should lean into this by: pursuing women who are actually interested in them, taking care of themselves so that they are desirable, behaving in desirable ways, making sure their female partners are turned on for sex and enjoying it.

This is in your hands fellas!

[–]edelbiatchFDS Newbie 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe if they bathed regularly or put a brush through their hair they might get compliments more. Very few men I’ve dated even owned moisturizer let alone a hair brush

[–]FMAB-EarthBenderFDS Newbie 50 points51 points52 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The survey data is sketchy at best. "19% of men say they wish their partners were more enthusiastic for/during sex"

Maybe if u were actually pleasuring her to shed be showing you more "desire"? This article is complete nonsense. What men and how many answered the survey? Tf haha.

[–]frostedgemstoneFDS Newbie 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

So do they want women to constantly give “chances” (read: pity sex) to men they aren’t attracted to, or do they want to “be desired” by their partner? Which is it? Cause you can’t have both.
