A single mom being a window is an exception to the rule and not the gotcha that people think it is when it comes to discussing why a woman might be a single mom. People really think they're pulling one over on you when they go, "Well, what if she's a widow? Did you think about that, asshole?"

That is the statistically smallest reason for a woman to be a single mother and you know it.

The real reason is that she let Chad or Tyrone impregnate them, and they ducked out on their responsibility of being present for the child they created. Simply mentioning an alternative reasoning doesn't make that reason more statistically common than the most obvious reason, right?

My partner and I went to Ulta the other day. We've also been going to stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx. These are generally discount stores that sell designer brands but for less. She bought a lot of make up and stuff for cheap. I couldn't help but think of something though and follow me here.

1.) Women complain about having to wear make up and having beauty products marketed to them

2.) Women complain that men don't have to put as much effort into their appearance

But as a man, I am left with two thoughts about this. First of all is that as a man we don't have a store like Ulta or Sephora that sells products that will increase our attractiveness because no matter what we do, we can't overcome the immutable traits women are attracted to.

Second, many products are just snake oil that don't do anything. Rosemary oil and a red light cap isn't going to be enough to grow our hair back if it is receding. The only option is a hairpiece which either looks realistic enough that you don't know we're wearing one or we get mocked for wearing, and it's known all those anti aging creams don't really work or at least not in a significant enough way.

Like even if a guy wears lifts, in his shoes, the expectation is that he is honest about his height and not only that, the perception is a man wearing lifts in his shoes is insecure.

He could, however, use the same logic women use about wearing make up and say that it is societies expectations that makes him lie and wear the inserts, but would women really accept that excuse? I doubt it.

Texturism is a thing. In every community. You dont know how frustrating it is to see that you just might be someone's type untill you get to their hair preference.

Hair texture is a part of the bigger picture. Men's taste has always been tall, smooth (non-textured) hair, perfect face and a slim figure. Now that more and more women are doing surgeries to achieve the preferred looks that men want, it will be odd to have a natural face. Natural faced women will be losing, unless they are luckily born with the preferred face and body type men prefer.

One facet of vetting I see men overlook often is a woman’s circle of friends. It’s almost unbelievable how many relationships adjacent to mine I’ve seen encounter friction because of some dumb friend commenting on their relationship and gaslighting her into starting drama.

Why is EVERY girl who writes posts on reddit about either not knowing if they should tell their bf they did gang bang porn, or getting outed via their bf getting a random message with a link to her fucking multiple guys? Why is it always women who get gang banged?

Why no fisting, why no scat, why no facial abuse, why no water sports, why no huge insertions, why no hardcore femdom, why no puke, why no other disgusting thing? I feel like this would be horrifying to discover too, but there's just something about gangbangs.
