My father was quite a ladies man in the 60s before the sexual revolution, he was tall, athletic and attractive. By contrast my uncle was shorter and chubbier but still a very nice and funny guy. The girls at dad’s high school were crazy about him, openly so in fact. He got many admirers and love letters growing up. My uncle by contrast didn’t have much luck, girls would often only talk to him in order to find my dad. It was only after high school when my uncle lost weight, did he do better.

My experience growing up in the 80s, 90s was largely the same. Attractive schoolmates has it easier. It was obvious to anyone with a minuscule of social awareness.

My point in typing this, is because I see a lot of people mistakenly thinking that looks mattering for men are new. They are not. If anything in the 80s guys worked out more and wore more provocative clothing. If I was caught today wearing short shorts and halter tops that were popular back then, I would be labeled a homosexual even by liberal opened minded people. The only difference was, people coupled up and married a lot earlier back then versus today, this was especially true for my fathers generation. Looks matter for women but you can overcome that with personality. Most women when looking for a long term relationship will generally look at other factors then just looks. This is why it’s not uncommon to see average/ugly guys with attractive women.

The truth is women will only have sex with a man generally only under these circumstances:

  1. She is high or drunk, which will lower her inhabitation (ex: beer goggles)

  2. She is emotionally attached to you, which can only happen after getting to know you.

  3. You offer her a monetary incentive to sleep with you (ex: prostitutes, sugarbabies etc.)

  4. You are so attractive to her, that you instantly inspire lust in her. Very few men can pull this off especially with a sober women.

In the past decade the bar and club scene has declined and young people do less drugs and drink less alcohol then they did in the past. Police have cracked down on prostitution more heavily than in the past( it use to be you could openly see hoards of women selling sex in Times Square) although I am starting to see more escorts openly selling their stuff on social media. However, generally speaking if a young man wants sex nowadays his options are wooing a women, so she will overtime grow to find you attractive, or be attractive. This is why it seems like looks matter more today then in the past. Social media has undoubtedly made it worse.

On side note, I have a feeling that in ten years we will get less society lied to me about women! Whiny posts as most young people growing up on YouTube, tiktok and Instagram are gong to be completely redpilled on this subject already.
