Ok, so I have been listening a lot to the Beige Phillips show (amazing btw, honestly the best dating advice I have heard(probably 80/20 red :blue purple ratio), and in his treasure trove of advice one thing sticks out that when I thought about makes sense and when I look around is entirely true.

Girls only want guys "better" than them.

By "better", I don't mean their inherent Value as a human, as only God or whatever dictates that, but more so better in the arenas of the external world life,

-guy must make more money -guy should have more status/career -guy should be more "dominant" than them -guy should be able to handle more stress and bullshit -guy should be able to protect and provide -guy should be stronger -etc.....

I think this is a huge issue with the More vocal and extreme feminists they don't want to admit .

Just look around , both at you parents generation and the current dating scene.

Girls are repulsed by taking care of a guy, or being an emotional rock in a relationship. The minute a guy shows consistent weakness, he is done. I'm not saying vulnerability is bad, however despite what people say, experience and observation has shown me that when a guy is going through a down and out period, most women won't stick by his side .(sometimes they don't deserve to bc the guy is a bum, but I'm referring more to a guy who is going through the trial of fire of life and finding as he struggles , his support system actually gets weaker )

Think of any high powered woman, the ones that aren't single are almost always with a guy who has more "success". The billionaire who invented Spanx is married to a guy who was already a billionaire. BeyoncΓ© could have any guy but she chose Jay Z, even Oprah, while more financially successful than her partner, is with Stedmon who himself is a multi millionaire classic tall dark and handsome.

Now I put better in quotes because it's not an exact dynamic, because as a man I value feminine traits that by default I don't have and complete me. For example, I want my eventual wife to be successful in life, but I expect that I will take a provider role and her a more nurturing role.

That being said though, this reality puts us in a rock and hard place. Women can say we are exact equals, yet any relationship that tips more than 49-50% towards the woman's side will literally fall apart.

If women really think things should be 50% equal literal, then why does behavior show that they only go after guys above them on the social hierarchy?

Curious on thoughts, counter examples, and peoples experience with this .
