I’ve posted this before but here is the gist of it all:

RP was thrown together by dudes in the USA for dudes in the USA for hooking up with women in the clubs but most the people on PPD who defend it are dudes who aren’t from the US or guys who only “try” using OLD

After 16 years, the only thing the RedPill was able to do was to get perpetually online dudes to spend all their time talking about the RP. Online

Because if you were actually able to BE Redpill, you would have never needed TRP in the first place.

Your problem lies in the "reality" part.

What reality ? Whose reality ? You are talking about a general objective reality that must exist somewhere and you deem all the people that disagree with you wrong and tell them to "go walk outside".

Well guess what, most of us did, I did, and what I found in "reality" (as in mine) was worse than what is said on this sub.

The fact that your own experience is different from others own experience doesn't make it more or less true, nor more or less the "reality".

Most of your argument was based on some statements requiring support:

Most men aren't doomed to a life of not knowing romantic enjoyment
Most women don't have an army of simps and orbiters

If you can't prove this, then this whole argument, in my opinion, falls apart. Yes, things are generally amplified on the Internet, which we all know to be true. However, I think this sub actually brings forth realities which people simply can't openly talk about in public without being dismissed as an incel misogynist. True, some people here are neuro-divergent, but the pertinent question becomes, does being neuro-divergent mean you can't think straight or make valid points? I get what you're saying, but as presented, I don't buy it.

Reality.

What is reality? It's what you perceive. What you perceive is shaped by what your brain is "trained" on. As a physics major, your brain is trained on noticing and understanding, thinking about physics. You notice things in your life that others don't, because your brain perceives reality differently. Reality for you is probably shaped to a large degree by seeing physical laws and interactions play out. When you see a ball running across the street, you might think about speed, acceleration, friction, impulse, where this ball will be in 10 seconds and where it probably came from, etc.

I might walk next to you, notice the ball, but my attention is on the plants next to the street. I notice the composition of the vegetation, notice where the sun hits the ground and allows different kinds of plants to grow, think about what kind of soil and nutrients are plausible in this situation and if the plants match that profile. I think about if this nitrogen-loving plant is there, because of all the piss from dogs and humans, that deposits nutrients there. My mind wanders and thinks about how pets shape what kind of plants grow in the city. I am looking for dogs now, not perceiving the ball anymore.

Funnily enough, right now, i am looking out the window, watching a sparrow pick thyme off my balcony and taking a bath in the dry soil. I can tell male and female apart, know the social structure of them and understand why they show the behavior i am observing. Your reality, if you sat next to me, would be completely different.

This sub is pretty off the mark about in real life dating dynamics many times; good points are made, but it's like many of y'all live in another reality.

We all live in another reality, and the reality of many of the guys who post here is shaped by CONSTANTLY viewing, reading, talking, writing about a very negative (and factually wrong) view of "modern dating/mating". When they look at people in real life, they see what their brain is trained on play out. In their realtiy, the current state of mating is horrible. They perceive this reality for their own doing. They create the reality that makes them unhappy, frustrated and disappointed.

You have to keep in mind most of the female userbase here on PPD are either married or paired up with someone. On the flip side of the equation, very few male users here are married and paired up. Of those not paired up, they likely experienced something horrific like a divorce or betrayal of trust. And then you have the single Pringles: forever bachelors and the cat/dog ladies in uber abundance.

You can 'kind of' tell who is lying about their marital status just by how they respond to posts here. The real marker as a 'reality check' is whether you see this happen in any regular or semi-regular basis in your immediate social circle and extended social circles outside of Reddit.

This plays a key role in how you ultimately perceive PPD and whether the topics and answers here align with reality.

That said, treat it like watching TV--is about all I can say about it. It's fun when it's entertaining and when it's not, time to go do other things.

Once I went out with my friends from university, all of them parnered with kids, very blue pill. One of them has a kid that's showing some ref pill signs. So I basically gave a TED talk about the pills

Mostly agree, but remember reality is different for people who are chronically online and likely suffer from mental issues. You wouldn’t be on the sub unless it was either very entertaining, or you were passionate enough about it, which would mean something happened to you and you are forced to be passionate. My personal take is most people who comment on here regularly do so because they had a very bad experience with the opposite gender or blame a significant portion of their struggles on them. In a weird way it’s like having PTSD for the other side, so there’s no way someone like that could reasonably go outside and interact normally.

In combination with online dating a lot of people just live online and so that is reality for them. Plus there’s the age aspect where most people on this sub are younger, or at least not 60 years old. I think it’s a little bit naïve to look at your average supermarket For who gets married, because many of them got married in a time before ours.

Yeah this sub is quite bizarre, it’s like a car crash that’s hard to look away from. My guess would be mental illness is rampant and definitely neurotypical patterns are noticeable. Splitting the world into black and white is common.

Obviously observable reality would show you people of all types in relationships, but some people here will claim all those relationships are devoid of “genuine desire” which is abstract, subjective and conveniently unfalsifiable.

Want proof that this sub doesn’t match with reality?

All you have to do is go to a supermarket and look at the sort of people who are actually in couples. Of all ages from 18 to 60+. You’ll see normal people with varying looks, wealth and personalities dating other normal people.

Want to see some weird non-normal behaviour? Go on a dating app, visit a nightclub at 2am or see what people are saying about relationships on PPD.

There are real structural issues in the dating market that get worse every single year. Of course the entire population doesn't fit rigid stereotypes, but it is absolutely true that women are becoming pickier and relationships are forming less and less, and this is already and will continue to have gigantic cultural and economic consequences that will end in the literal destruction of entire nations through suppression of the birth rate, lower productivity, and increased mental illness.

Theres as many truths as there are people, and I think online spaces tend to attract the discussion of truths that arent socially acceptable to discuss irl, even if a lot of people acknowledge them deep down.

In that regard, this place can offer unique facets of reality
