Woman’s arguments against unfair standards in social media -

“It presents an unfair idealistic view of how a woman should look and doesn’t represent how ANY normal woman should ever look. The models in these images are starving, and it’s unhealthy for young girls to compare themselves to these girls. I feel like I shouldn’t see this content nearly as much”

Also woman -

“It’s not my fault that I want to pick the most attractive dude to date on OLD, I can’t negotiate my attraction. Forcing me to lower my standards is cruel and unrealistic. I don’t want to be in a relationship with someone who I don’t find attractive”

And y’all wonder why men’s sexlessness rate is going up? Your standards for yourselves are dropping by the hour, while the standards for men are rising (lets be honest it’s 95% about looks these days, you can’t see someone’s personality when you swipe on their profile for 0.02 seconds). If you’re not chad or chadlite, why would you try to compete for this new class of alpha widowed woman? Do you understand that men have standards as well? At this point, more and more of them are just disengaging and spending their sacred time on earth doing fun shit instead of working all week to buy a dinner in hopes of getting a crumb of coochie

The number is 28% of young men (18-30) in the U.S., which is about ten million people. I don't see how that can, in any way, be sold as an insignificant number. It's the same number of black people in the US for that age range.

Well yeah. If 30% of young men aren’t having sex then they’re below average by definition. The problem is that this below average group has likely doubled in size.

But statistics usually show that many of these men are late bloomers and will do better as they get older. Still, it makes for some frustrating times while they are young and horny.

The average male has a dating life, has some casual encounters, will end up fathering a child (82.5% of men statistically father one child compared to 84% women according to WHO, not some tiny survey. That 1.5% diffrence is probably due to a mixture of artificial insemination and your insignificant 80/20 rule)

I haven't looked to much into it but it seems like Sexlessness/Virginity in young males is on the rise (same for women, but men are 'in the lead').

Edit: Also I don't think that bringing up how most men have children is a refutation of the idea that a lots of men are sexless and suffering for it. You can have a child in your 30s/40s while also suffering in your 20s.

Its because men on Reddit have fed into a very immense (and scary) jealousy of women and are trying to mimic women by trying to be the vulnerable party in hopes of eliciting empathy.

But it backfires because their language and attitudes about women make them unsympathetic. I know for me, when I see a hateful man trying to play victim, I feel good and I feel like his problems are justified.

When I feel bad for men, they are usually being straight about their pain. They talk about loneliness and feelings of inadequacy without trying to punish me for a planet of women. That is when I can hear them.

If anything, and maybe I'm problematic for this but idgaf feels great, this is how I see it:

I have a good men deserve love and sex / bad men deserve nothing dichotomy. Them bumping up numbers, being dramatic and uncharitable about the female sex is why their methods don't work and I bet you I'm not the only one who feels that way

They think it will work thought. They sound almost as loony as pathetic MRA men who try to say that women rape men at the same rate men rape women.

Men can be victims and they need to be supported

However. No one hears or respects male professional victims hamming it up for a chance. If you're not authentic, no one cares about your "studies" about dry peen. Thats just the system working as designed.

Finally a voice of reason. When I was a student I've seen many of my average looking guy friends get laid at least semi-regularly on friday and saturday nights. Girls would get drunk and have beer goggles too and pair up with whoever was in their line of sight. Good times for all, average looking men and women.

It seems that the average age of this subreddit is somewhere between 42-48, with both male and female Generation Xers completely incapable of seeing how much they greatly overstate their problems. I never seen very few women in this subreddit with behaviour that could ever be described as even remotely feminine or attractive; LIkewise, the men in here are disgusting worms that all make me read their posts in Jerry Smith's voice.

Because it's actually an incel sub which is evident during purge weeks.

All the other incel subs were banned so this is where they come now.

This is not a "red pill vs blue pill" debate sub any more: this is an incel sub but the rules say that the incels must allow outsiders to challenge their views and can't just ban them and the mods remove circlejerk posts, but other than that 80% of the userbase are incels, 10% are legitimate redpills, and 10% are those that challenge incels and almost no individual is really attempting to challenge red pill any more here.

So thank you reddit, just like you were told: banning subs you don't like doens't solve the problem but just makes them go elsewhere.

It isn’t that much of an exaggeration. Similar surveys that have been conducted all show sexlessness amongst younger men in the US and UK is growing at quite an appreciable rate. Do you have any data that suggest otherwise? Also, not sure how the global estimated percentage of men who’s fathered a child is a legitimate counter argument. A child can be conceived in many circumstances that don’t involve romantic attraction or a relationship, and historically speaking most men have not passed on their genes.

I agree. It's like people try so hard to paint men as pathetic and twist any action into something it isn't. They put things in these weird boxes that make no sense.

I think a lot of it is just people weaponizing stereotypes and buzzwords. They know someone isn't sharing an incel or red pill view, but they throw those terms out to discredit / dismiss the point they are making.

It's like when a woman wants to cut a man, she insults his masculinity or penis. Which is silly on a few levels.

You're reducing a man to his penis
You're assuming all men are driven by sex.

Same thing with compensating. People will just say a man in compensating to twist the facts and gain control / leverage / feel superior.

I also think it has to do with shutting men up. If you discredit everything they say, when they have a valid point - no one is going to actually hear it. Which allows people to get away with bad behavior - because when they call it out - it's, "Oh take your incel views somewhere else."

I thought the argument was not that men aren't having sex, but the frequency and variation and 'casualness' of it.

According to The Red Pill which claims to be true and factual, a large amount of men are "sex-able" because average men already have the base and female biological selectiveness can be bypassed/manipulated under AWALT. Which means:

The majority of sexless men aren't trying, thus not struggling for sex, because they either: 1) aren't that interested in pursuing casual sex from multiple women. 2) satisfied with not having casual sex with multiple amounts of women multiple times a week. 3) are having it in relationships, etc..
Implying that men are Struggling™ means effort is being extended, which contradicts first bullet.
The data found under 80/20 rule that's based off an OKStupid study is redundant.

So I agree, male sexlessness and the The Struggle™ is hyperbolic and melodramatic.

I agree. The average guy will be able to have a couple of sexual partners throughout his life. If you aren’t getting anything, you’re most likely below average. Unfortunately, this is a hard pill to swallow for a lot of folks. No one wants to believe that they’re below average.

I think there’s been studies that suggest most people who are below average in something will always rate themselves as slightly above average in that particular thing.
