I used to hold doors open for everyone at my office, man or woman, didn’t matter. I couldn’t help but notice over time that a lot of the women would pull those doors open just enough for them to pass through and would just let it close behind them way way more often than not, even though it was very obvious that myself and others were only steps behind them. I’ve quit holding doors for anyone now, except for maybe the elderly.

Well, first problem here is that he took it to "Am I the Asshole". That's a gyno-Mecca and no man can ever be right in there. You can practically feel the estrogen seeping out of your screen. Super hormonal estrogen at that.

Second problem is that women have no idea what it's like to work using your body. If they're on a construction site, they're holding the sign. If they're cops, they're always paired up with a larger male who can handle all the guys she can't. If they're working in a warehouse, they're at the back taping up small boxes while the guys are hand balming the big heavy stuff. It's hardly an unknown pattern here, either. They think that having to get up to get coffee once an hour is some sort of workout.

Thirdly, nothing gets women more riled up than suggesting that being pregnant isn't actually a disability. Yeah, it's crazy but women used to have to keep up with the clan on their treks across the endless plains and over the mountains. Weren't any buses then and it was kind of an all-day activity. They didn't seem to have any major difficulties. Getting pregnant doesn't make your bones melt and your muscles disintegrate, it just limits your flexibility. Countless women have told me that while there are some times worse than others, you can still function just fine unless you're some sort of uber weakling.

So, yeah, good for this guy!
