You'd be surprised how many guys with girlfriends don't know anything about women or are even confident. Regardless, upbringing, genetics, social circumstances, game "naturals", etc. are all possible reasons. As an example, naturally extroverted individuals tend to put themselves in more social situations which means they get more experience and also tend to meet more people. Dating is more than just having game it's also a numbers game.

It's also the case that this sub attracts only those who struggle. People who had it easy have no reason to be on here and are probably confused as to why people like us are so obsessed with game. Some people are smarter, some more physically attractive, some more socially apt, etc. Maybe we're unlucky, maybe they're just lucky. The great thing is unlike having certain traits game is a skill and can be learned. You can be like the "(not un)lucky" ones with enough focused effort and you tend to come out the other side doing better than the "naturals".

Learning game is simply unlearning the things that throw our primal skills and mindsets off kilter. Social programming and an individuals life events can make us "learn" the wrong things.

This stuff isn't exactly complicated. In actuality, these are ALL things we learn or are supposed to learn as we grow up and go through social situations. Thing is, a lot of us, myself included, did not get to have those experiences for one reason or another, and didn't get those lessons and methods engrained.

In truth, it's literally:

Approach woman, situational or directly.
Tease/banter. Ask her out.
Show genuine interest in her as a person. Ask open questions, banter some, progressively break the touch barrier.
Make a move on her.
Continue these steps. Profit.

That's literally it.

Do these things and you will, eventually, get a girlfriend.

The real juice is dealing with the Unresolved roots of your insecurities and barriers to success. That's THE thing stopping you. It's not easy or super simple, but it's something I've done, and helped others do, and I'm open to helping others if anyone wants.

Confidence is the product of receiving positive results either as a result of your actions or in spite of them.

I had been learning this stuff for a year prior to me gaining confidence, and that confidence had literally nothing to do with game. The confidence was created when I went to a party and an attractive girl (we were teenagers) loudly told her friend that I was cute while looking straight at me. She also was super game to just grind on me when I told her to (I didn't ask because pick up told me that confident men don't ask women for things, which in hindsight, is fucking ridiculous)

I had been called ugly for so long that the idea that I could be attractive was foreign to me, but I guess it was just hiding under fat (I'd unwittingly lost 60 lbs over the summer since I was skateboarding like 12+ hours a day for fun).

The same results happened over and over throughout the rest of high school and into adulthood. I learned that women that I'm attracted to have a reasonable chance to also be attracted to me and so that inspired confidence to be able to make moves.

I pretty much stopped using most of what I learned from 'game' 5 or 6 years ago, other than things that are very clearly common sense. My results have been much better than anything I ever produced while relying on 'game' tactics, though I have my own ideas on what constitutes good 'game' so it's not like I don't have my own strategies and tactics.

People that are naturally confident with women would have received the same lesson that I did at a younger age.

Tl;Dr: If women that you desire also desire you, you'll be confident trying to pursue sexual/romantic relationships with women as a matter of course

A lot of people have natural game, a lot of it is literally just a healthy attachment style, good self-esteem which leads to good confidence. They simply do not have to think before acting because they embody healthy mindset by default. As you've probably guessed a lot of this can be heavily influenced by upbringing and how you were treated growing up.

For example if you were properly socialized as a child you learned naturally how to socialize, what is proper boundaries and how to read the room. If your parents treated you well and not unpredictably or traumatically you will have a healthy sense of self and begin to develop natural self confidence.

Unfortunately even though there are a lot of people with healthy upbringings there's a lot more with unhealthy and traumatic ones. Half of dating is literally not coming across as creepy, and what that means is abiding to social norms, being not awkward, being aware of what's happening socially and respecting boundaries. All things dudes with shitty upbringings deal with.

Part of learning "game" is making up for shit you should have learned but are deficient in. None of it to your fault, since you had no control over how you were raised, but have to be changed in order to date properly.

I'd say half the time I hooked up, it was when I was just going out with friends or whatever, looking to have a good time. Women like having fun in an environment where they don't feel like a target. A lot of times, they'd proposition me instead of the other way around. A guy in my fraternity was a 6 at best, but he always got girls because he did "bar tricks", like card tricks and shit.

The other half, I was genuinely interested in the woman and pursued them for a relationship and not just a quickie. Personally I do better that way.

I could never be a PUA. But getting women? Be fun, be low pressure, be generous of spirit, make them laugh.

Also, I used to kill with self-deprecating lines. I used to tell women my type was (brunettes/blondes/whatever they were) who made bad choices.

I wanted to date, was not dating. I have and had insane levels of desire for sex and affection with women - much more than the average guy. This is actually a fantastic question and discussion. Here is my take on it.

I got started in the approaching/pu scene in the very early 2000s when it was mostly guys on Internet forums exchanging pickup lines and simple strategies to talk to women and take them home. That's before all the weirdos started invading that scene and making it more complicated than it was.

I found that although I had overcome my shyness, I was actually getting less interest from women then before I discovered that stuff. Before girls here and there would like me. They would send me IOIs but I was too scared and shy to take advantage and get them. Instead I just ignored them, which probably made women want me even more.

But once I discovered pua and started actively pursuing women, I had to work 100X more to get to e same level of interest. So I gained one thing, which was getting over my shyness and taking action but lost another thing, which was naturally attracting women.

It's not until much later that I discovered that any sort of pick up stuff is actually backfiring. I had gotten so obsessed with getting women and sex, that it was the only thing I'd think about. Nothing else mattered. It was the thing I was missing and the thing I'd chase desperately. But in doing so, I was actually causing the thing I dreaded the most - women not being into me at all. I didn't realize just how needy and desperate pick up really is.

So I asked myself the exact same question you did? Why am I out there approaching a million women while some other normal guy can just strike up a conversation with a girl and leave the bar with her? Or he would meet someone through his social circle and they would be dating a few weeks later? Why was this so elusive for me, when I obviously put in a ton more work? It became apparent to me that putting in work was actually trying too hard. I was desperate and needy and every interaction with a woman had to be angled around me trying to "seduce" her and get her interested and in bed. I realized that's just not how normal people operate. Normal people get to know each other, they focus on enjoying each other's company and that's how chemistry develops. Then dating and sleeping together becomes a natural progression not the end goal or the holy grail!

So that's how normal men get women. They have other things in life they are focused on. They pursue their purpose and get happiness and fulfillment from that. They don't see women as the ultimate source of validation and happiness. They see them as human beings who are worth getting to know and who are also sexy and enticing. I don't need to really tell you just how much men on this sub treat women like objects. To them women are literally a trophy to be won. They are not even real human beings with feelings and desires. The only thing that matters is the moist hole between their legs.

That is such a dehumanizing view of the other sex and wonder most men struggle immensely with women. As long as they see women as a trophy to be won or as having something that they need, they will have trouble. And since almost everyone who gets involved in pickup and seduction believes women have something they desperately need in order to be happy, that's what happens. They create the very monster they have been trying to slay.

It's called talking to a girl and them finding u attractive enough. It really isn't all that deep. Some guys learn things from what they see with older siblings or parents and they just try it out. Some act like little bitches most of their lives and can't talk to a girl normally. Just all depends.

The more congruent and consistent u are the more a girl will know what she's going to get from u in any situation. That's a main reason for ahit tests. And if u pass them before they even have a change of happening or the girl doesn't kno how to even pose them. Then we'll there u go.

Did you have to study how to make friends as a kid? Social skills are generally built up as you grow up, it’s a natural thing. “Game” is just an extension of this, with a romantic/sexual aspect. You can kinda cheat game with some tactics but real game is being comfortable in who you are, expressing who you are and finding someone who is interested in that.

People have been getting together forever. Pick up artists are that latest con artists. It’s a scam. Almost woman who find out you’ve been studying tactics to get her into bed are going to be grossed out. Rightfully.

Also a lot of people suck at dating. Surprise you don’t actually have to be that good or have techniques. Just don’t be a pussy works well enough for some people.

I had to learn game but even then I didn’t need to learn anything but be more confident. Anyone can get laid easy. Just pick up on signs when someone is interested in you and have fun.
