Yes this. While biologically and typically, men do have a higher libido then women, both sexes equally practice in casual sex. It is an extremely outdated view to say that women do not want casual sex. With the invention of birth control and condoms, pregnancy and stis are less of an issue than in the past, and women are now allowed to express their sexuality in ways they could not in the past, with fear of pregnancy, sti, social stigma, and violence (although these issues are still present, they are not as glaring as they once we're).

Sex is still more of a risk for women, for the reason listed above, but due to this factor, there will always be men on standby waiting for their chance. In the modern world, this is just how things are. You can't say "women don't like casual sex" and also "women are sluts because they don't sleep with me" in the same sentence. Number of causal partners is not an indication of who that person is.

Well, I think perhaps it’s a different kind of thing than the sort of horny blindness men might get. Like where men will have a real feeling of regret after sex because they got so horny they didn’t think about what they were doing/who they were doing it with. Horniness can make men extremely dumb and impulsive.

I think with women it’s not that same way - it’s more the drive to perhaps get pregnant is strong and finding a guy who just ticks all the “good genetics” boxes might overwhelm her choosiness in finding a man who would be an involved and good father. Especially in poorer communities where there is not much to look forward to in life except a dead-end, minimum wage job like your peers and family and parents before you. Having kids is a joyful thought for most women and makes them feel like they’ve accomplished something and found meaning. The drive to have a baby in some women is very strong. That’s where women might not be clear headed and choose the wrong man to have sex with (in terms of his suitability as a long term partner and father) - but she might actually be choosing reasonably well in terms of pure genetics (he might be physically a “good specimen” who is assertive and confident).

Hmm I mean, To me that still just sounds like the difference in libido is still lower/meeker..

If it takes more steps and scenarios to raise up a libido that’s down it would seem logically that the more it takes and more situations it takes to get women’s engines going means they have a lower libido than men whom are ready for less.

If we took women out the equation and compared to men one where he’s ready to go at the drop of the pants and another that needs a whole bunch of chest pieces and stars aligned just right I’d imagine the man that takes more to get aroused would have the lower sex drive of the two.

Unfortunately lower sex drive is the answer

There is no measurable (physically) sexyness or attractiveness, so something to be unsexy have to be found unsexy by a specific individual. If an individual have a specific biological predisposition to get more easily and intensively aroused by many type of visual stimuli (therefore is less selective) then it is more easy that he will found things sexy or attractive.

Man can settle more easy since they have a stronger visual stimuli (i will explain better later) and a stronger libido

Even if there can be individual differences, men on average do have indeed more sex drives.

Women do have sex drive (and it is true that sometimes man underestimate it) but on average is not even comparable with the one of a men. We aren't inclusive in Europe bc we have ghettos and parallell- societies now. In fact, Northern -European culture( older generations at least) are afraid of immigrants and traditional. Inequality is real and you often don't choose to be privileged or oppressed. Nobody chooses to be born disabled or into family of billionaires.

Average and below average men are disadvantaged to the ground compared to top few % looking men. There is nothing you can do (if not counting surgery) to grow taller, have bigger penis, etc. And it means that you will need to rip hair off your butt to get 1 below average girl to barely like you, opposed to having dozens above average girls chasing you to give you unlimited affection.

We might not change what women are attracted to, but we might tone down all things (social media, news, socialization, etc) that push average men down in favor of chasing Chad,we might shame women for their bad choices with bad consequences instead of throwing all the blame on men as a collective despite 30% of them not even having sex regularly.

People should really get rid of this cancerous idea that human relationships are some sort of market, no, human being are not products but if you re going to try and negotiate attraction,, then as a man you re better of paying escorts and you alredy know who else, and as a woman, you already know which routes are more convenient for you.

Another cancerous idea that people should throw to the trash is that somehow sex or relationships, whatever, are a human right of some sort, you re not gonna die if you dont get a relationship or you dont trick an ignorant woman into bed, from man to man, that imperious need that you feel to bed some woman is nothing more than cancerous social conditioning,there are studies that show male sexuality can be conditioned, proof of it is a man the gets so addicted to porn that he needs to watch more and more deranged things in order to get turnt on, i can guarantee you that if society didnt pedestalize sex with women very few men would go around having these "problems", but society thinks a man that beds a lot of women is automatically superior, and one that doesnt isnt worthy of being called a man just because he doesnt sleeps around, or if a man rejects sex with a woman his masculinity gets questioned, and we see it in a lot of media and we hear it a lot at the tea time, how men get reduced to nothing more than little dogs who are desperate for a bone, incapable of making decisitions by himself and he needs mommy girlfriend to choose for him, completely useless and not respected in the house, look at mainstream shows like friends or the simpsons and look what male role models get more screentime there, look at how men with strong bodies or assertive personalities are always portrayed as arrogant, undesirable, toxic and complete failures, but men that are basically doormats for people to step on are portrayed as the example to follow with promise that you ll at least get the thumbs up of some woman, look at all that of how much do you need that to validate yourself as a man and you ll realize it is nothing more than a lie society sold to you just like the "all women are perfect and worthy of your time, and if she doesnt wants you then you re worthless" lie. Just remember that in the past men proved themselves by hunting down a lion with nothing more than a spear, buy nowadays they "prove" themselves by tricking ignorant women into bed even though thats easy to achieve.

It’s obvious to anyone with two eyes and a brain that men are the sex-obsessed gender and women are more driven by desire for relationships. Another good example is by looking at gay men and lesbian women. There are quite a few male prostitutes, but if a man is a prostitute, the vast majority of his clients will be male. How many prostitutes catering specifically to lesbians are there? A female prostitute might see a woman from time to time, but the vast majority of her clients will be male. Gay men tend to like to have lots of casual sex before settling down, while there’s jokes about lesbians renting a u-haul on the second date. Of course these are just stereotypes and individuals vary, but they are stereotypes for a reason.

None of this is to say women don’t have sex drives or that gay men can’t be monogamous, so please don’t twist my words. I simply want to further illustrate the biological discrepancy between male and female sex drives. This is absolutely the reason why it’s harder for straight men than straight women to get casual sex - supply and demand. In relationships, things even out considerably, but the man will still probably want sex more often. I’m just sick of the implication that women are collectively, maliciously withholding sex from average men. No. It’s just not natural for most women to pursue sex for the sake of sex like men do.

Jeez, sex is meant to make babies. Clear? Procreation.

The basics stayed the same for thousands and thousands of years, since we were hunters-gatherers.

The man's ideal strategy is to inseminate as many women as possible (strength is in numbers), the woman's ideal strategy is to mate with the most powerful man around, who could protect her and provide for her and the offspring.

The woman has everything to lose from sexual promiscuity, in an environment where the pregnancy poses a significant life threat and having a baby is a massive commitment, more so if the father is not around to protect and provide.

The man, on the other hand is stuffed with testosterone and therefore always horny, ready to hump any lady cave-(wo)man around.

Men are supposed to compete for women, as the most successful men will have abundance, the majority of the other men in the clan might even be excluded from mating at all.

Both sexes are inclined to a certain level of infidelity, e.g. trying to secretly mate with somebody who's more attractive than their partner.

Muscle strenght is also an result of different physique, but we all know who have more muscle mass by average.

Even if there can be individual differences, men on average do have indeed more sex drives.

Women do have sex drive (and it is true that sometimes man underestimate it) but on average is not even comparable with the one of a men. This topic have been already been studied very well(also for criminology), althought someone that don't work in the an accademic setting can find it hard to find free research for him to read.

Libido is also part of mating strategies. Males among different species commit sexual coercion (aka rape) incredibily more often than their counterparts. There is a biological and natural reason on why this happen more often in one gender than the other in so many species and that is exactly due to higher libido as a consequence of the evolution that rise from different parental investment (yes, other external factors can play a role, but more often than not that animal need to have strong libido and desire in the first place to commit such act or there will be no point for him; and yes, not all men want to rape or to be raped since humans have also higher abstraction and we are not drive just by instict, but some sexually differentiated feature are still present and this explain why the likehood for a man to commit such act or enjoy it if actually done on him is way higher and again this is due to libido, the will and desire of having sex ).

You have to add the fact that men, react more intesively to visual stimuli than women since they have a bigger amigdala. The amigdala is one of the better understood regions of the brain so differences between male and female behaviour here have been already been studied and scan show that man use a bigger surface are of the amigdala when react to certain stimoli. Since humans are visual creatures, if an individual traslate more often a specific visual stimuli in sexual arousal, then such event play a huge role on having higher sex drive.
