We can argue that in some cases one choice would make you more of a nice person than the other, but it never should be an obligation

Sex and relationships are not vital to survival like water, food, and shelter. Sex and relationships are necessary to live a happy healthy functioning life though. Moral obligation and right are two very different things so you asked two questions.

No one at any point has a “right” to anyone so this goes far beyond sex.

Moral obligation entails that you can help someone and are obligated to help if you reasonably can. The key word is reasonably. If your depressed friend needs to talk an hour on the phone every day but you are hammered with schoolwork and a job then you’re making the choice that it’s no longer reasonable. Morals are one’s own so the point of reason depends entirely on the individual. However I feel very few if anyone thinks it’s reasonable for a woman to be obligated to give her body and experience the obvious negative emotions that would entail.

Technically, nobody is obligated to do anything at all.

Morals are nothing more then rationalizations to justify why our actions are just and another’s isn’t.

It is why murder is bad, unless it is to “defend” yourself (like invade another country on a crusade).

What is immoral today can and often will be moral tomorrow and vice versa. Ex: Yesterday, sex outside of marriage was immoral, now it isn’t so.

However, responsibility is another matter.

If x man is a mess because he cannot get sex, then it is on the women who refuse him sex and him for not doing what is necessary to get sex.

It is why negligence is a criminal offense that is punishable.

If I refuse to call 911 to save a women being raped, I can and will be punished if caught. I am technically not morally obligated to do anything. But because of my inaction, I am atleast partially responsible for what happens to her.
