I suspect it is, at least in part, propaganda created by men to make women feel like their worth will go down with age and thereby elevate their own worth.

The truth is obviously that this is very variable, there are 50 year old women and men who could look better than their 20 year old counterparts. Confidence, comfort with oneself, wisdom, etc. are also non-appearance related factors that contribute to attractiveness. But I do think child bearing is a major factor that causes women's appearance to deteriorate, that men aren't subject to.

Was around 25 for me. It hurt. Never actually had pretty privilege, but I noticed even more disdain for my existence in my mid-20s. Men are cruel monsters.

At whatever age they stop being pretty, that's not the same for all women. It depends a lot on genetics, diet and exercise, and money to have expensive skincare and procedures.

Also there's a large difference between not having pretty privilege and being invisible, the vast majority of the population is in the space in-between.

I am 45, a 50/50 single mom, and a teacher and I get a ton of sexual and romantic attention. I got it also when I was younger but it was more sexual attention back then. I was then married for 20 years so I didn’t pay attention to it for a few decades. I have never felt invisible and I have no doubt I can get either sex or a relationship at pretty much any time I want it.

Depends on how well they took care of themselves. If they didn’t keep up with skincare and their health fervently but didn’t make super unhealthy. Usually by 27-30. If they went overboard and did make super unhealthy choices like lots of drugs, alcohol and too much fast food. Then 24-25. There’s exceptions if they’re genetic anomalies.

For women that did keep themselves up fervently their pretty privilege can last until 40-45. 50+ if they have naturally great genetics but if not it starts slowly waking at 40. They’ll still get perks from men older than them instead of men of all ages but that will fade by 45ish.

What exactly does pretty privilege mean in this context? How are you using this? That how chick staceys can say and act however they want and then like once they hit "the wall", more on that in a few, like they get real and become more appreciative etc and the like?

This notion that like, this "pretty privilege" thing exists, it's not what people on here think it is.

Let me tell you something. This notion that only these very hot and successful people are like the only ones who can say or are saying or are getting away with saying whatever, just isn't true.

I have seen so many people, women mostly since we are focusing on this, who say whatever whenever and do not give a fuck. I have said this before. Like I don't see why it's so hard for some to accept. I mean, am I like focusing on the wrong area? This whole thing comes off as not ever having left high school mixed with thinking with your dick too much.

As for attention, yeah it's nice but can be overrated. While yes, some get less, but whole other issue.

As for "the wall", I meant to say this in another related post at one point. This notion that like once chicks hit their early to mid 40s, they all of a sudden become these kindly hallmark made for tv movie grandmotherly types just isn't true. I've seen it. It is all about the one on one person and who they are and why they do what they do etc.

30 is a mindset, not a state of appearance. Men tend to favor dating women under 30. But unless they can see a woman's age, they'll hit on any woman they find attractive. Women don't fear looking older, they fear becoming less desired because they become less fertile.

They can stay attractive up to 50 in some cases but won’t be able to attract the same calibre of men. If all the woman wants in her 30’s / 40’s is an average guy then she will likely be successful. If she’s looking for a “high value man” then she’s pretty much shit out of luck.

I think part of the confusion is that we have much older actors playing much younger characters.
