I like how he points out he was a Dom in his last relationship. He doesn’t like that he can’t control all these new women he is meeting. The entitlement reeks. He thinks 3 months has been a long time, for him, to not date, shows how much he should spend time alone.

Having ‘active listening skills’ is not a skill, it’s the bare minimum.

‘Pissing women off’ because he is ‘truthful & honest’ aka ‘my thoughts mean more than other people’s feelings as I want to say what I want without your feelings getting in the way or denying me sex’ & also the reason why his previous relationship has been ‘dom&sub’ (and I think we can guess which he was in that dynamic) & thinks he can replicate it into a actual lasting relationship, that all the women who ‘ghost’-ed him, probably figure out and left ASAP.

Active listening skills and actually caring about what she is saying are two completely different things. The latter comes with active listening skills ingrained, the former is just a practice as a means to an end.

Also I suspect women get reasonably worried when he likely pushes the conversation into a BDSM or sexual context which he finds "amazing" but they sense something off and run. If there is anything I've learned about the new online society is how much poly and BDSM people can't stop immediately jumping to pushing their "lifestyle" onto others without prior consent or just going public with it.

Honestly, I’ve never understood the idea that men have that women are just looking for a “free meal” on dinner dates. If I didn’t like a guy I was on a date with, it would take all joy out of eating the food. Even on a date with a guy I did like, it’s so ingrained in us to act dainty while eating that it’s impossible to enjoy food like that. Men are such ridiculous but also fragile creatures.
